this ball works great when lane cond oil is med. ball can be sanded for more hook or polished for less hook depending on what kind of med cond you have.ball is drilled 2 oz of top weight and has 1/2 oz side weight on it.has a nice controllable hook with a nice arc in to the pocket.bought this ball because its one of the few urethene 3 pc balls out there.didnt want any with pucks in the core or diff kind of weight block just want bowling balls that i can have normal static drillings.grouchy<scrip

likes: This ball was a great ball to start out with. Perfect for any beginner. Cant beat it for the price. Took no time to get used to it. The first game out I bowled a 224. Well worth the investment for anyone getting started and even for anyone trying to get back into the sport. Truly an awsome ball. This ball is also great for spares but wouldnt recommend as a ten pin ball. dislikes: It seemed to me that the ball wasnt always consistent, but maybe it was me. Another thing is that the ball got damaged easily but that may have been the lane i was playing. It happened to both me and my friend. I am just a beginner but with my vortex i havent had any problems. seasoned players spend the extra bucks and get a vortex or icon.

I would not use the scout as my first ball or my ten pin. I have 3 different balls that i use at the tournament and thise ball i use to pick up spares exept my ten pin. The reason being is becouse it still hooks alittle which is enough for it to miss the ten pin. I would recomend this ball to be polished so that it would not curve that much but i would also recomend to get a seperate ball for your ten pin. For your first ball i would recomend getting the icon or the icon 2 that throws a punch at the pins instead of the scout which helps you pick up tough spares.
