when this ball starts turning watch out. this ball shows no mercy when it hits. i had this ball since it first hit the market and i still bowl with it today. my highest game is 289. it was not the ball it was me. i didnt hit my mark but being a good ball it still tried to turn all the way back to the pocket. i will tell anybody to get this ball when this ball starts turning watch out. this ball shows no mercy when it hits. i had this ball since it first hit the market and i still bowl with it today. my highest game is 289. it was not the ball it was me. i didnt hit my mark but being a good ball it still tried to turn all the way back to the pocket. i will tell anybody to get this ball

Bought this one when my Cuda/C pearl started doing funky stuff down the lane. (weight block separation). Pin between and below fingers, CG center of grip. It has a very nice arc to the pocket, leaves a few tens, when playing the twig. Allows me to adjust to lane conditions very well. Carry down isn't too appealing to this ball. It has @ 200 games on it. Still does what I want it to do. I'd like to buy another one and try a different layout. This is a very good ball for the price. Recommend strongly on House Shots. It will work.

This ball is good for the average bowler that doesnt bowl very much. After about 50 games the oil in the ball is so great that it practicly dripps off the ball when its sitting in your bag. The ball ever though it absorbs oil it has a great striaght line with a good deal of backend. But, it will slide in heavy oil and not move unless you get the ball sanded and the polish finish come off. This will make the ball hook sooner and with a great deal of backend. The down affect of this is that the ball is more recipant to the oil on the lane. Overall this is a great ball to have in your dry lane arsenal.

When I got this ball is was a left handed stroker and for some reason this ball was never consistent, I could never throw the same shot twice. But in the middle of last weeks league session I change to a more cranker like release with my wrist cupped extremly. After I did this the ball was so consistent, and even when I did miss this ball got back to the pocket in a hurry (except for those few times when my thumb wouldn't come out of the ball). My average using this ball is 160 and last week I bowled 161, 180, 238. The last game using the new release the ball just rolled straight down the lane and hooked from between 1 and 2 into the pocket. This is a great ball. I hope my scores keep going like they are.

This ball has been a gem from day one. I will admit it was a bit difficult in the beginning. I had it drilled to go long and flip hard. It definately flipped hard, but the carry down made it erratic. I had the ball redrilled with zero side weight and it really started to shine. It reacts with greater consistancy and still rips the pins quite nicely. I have issues when throwing it on very dry or very oily, but the conditions in between are great for this ball. If you are using a compliment of balls this is a good middle ball.

The ball is great for beginners but if you are looking for a medium oil ball go with this becuase you will not be let down. You can play inside with this ball or throw down and in. Its a skid/flip ball that shatter the pocket but it will leave a ringing ten or a stone 9 every now and then but if u tug it what will be left wont be pretty. Try this ball it will work and u wont be let down but the ball isnt meant for heavy oil it will just slide throught the oil

This ball has some wicked movement! I've had trouble controling it at time. When i did find my mark i hit stikes like mad! Even thoguh this ball is pearlized it has given me the most 200+ games. I love the way it moves down the lane. This ball was the perfect compliment to my bowling ball arsenal. I have this ball to go long and snap. The pin is above my ring finger grip for its max potential. Overall this ball is great. The only problem with it is that on dry lanes it over hooks and on too much oil it doesnt move enough. This ball is probaly meant fo a medium oil or house shot condition.<scri

Not a big hook ball, but all the hook that it has is where it does the most damage - in the back end. Goes deep. Toasted lanes are not a problem; however, oily lanes are. This ball is similiar to the Rip of not so long ago. Goes through the heads with no effort. Not a huge skid/flip reaction - more like a skid flip into an arc. A combination of high speed and oily conditions will hurt your scores. For what it was designed to do, go long and come back on lanes with dry backends and light oiled mid-lanes, it gets the job done.

i bowl twice a week and carry over a 200 average with a urathane ball that is starting to show it's age so when i set out in search of a new ball i bought two others and was highly disappointed with them mainly because i bought them without talking to a ture professional ball diller. when i found one he watched me bowl a suggested i buy this ball so i followed his advise and boy was he right. i could not be any happier with this ball starting with price and ending with power it is the real deal. don't be fooled at how cheap this ball is in price it pays off on the lanes. thanks to terry gilpin and thelmal pro shop it pay to deal with the best and you guys are truly the best...... shot 299 with this ball 7/22/03. i left the seven pin on a shot that more than likely was because this ball hits alittle hard. i haven't been useing it alot because the lanes haven't been right but on the right lanes it's a truck!

this is a ball for a lot of lane conditions. you just have to move your feet. It works in oil or drier conditions. It hits very hard and saves energy for the back end to kill the pins.I have this ball along with the wicked by columbia and find that one or the other always works. the only thing i dont use this ball for is the 10 pin.it is hard to not miss left with this ball.So i throw a columbia white dot at the 10 pin.My average has went from 185 to 197 with these balls. Columbia is the only balls i will throw.

Well like I said this is the ball to own i mean this is the most versatile ball i have ever thrown. This ball has hold and i mean this is the ball i had no problem when i hit pocket i knew it was going to be a strike. This is ball is great on a typical house shot and it reads the lane great and it has alot of hold and this ball is very forgiving very forgiving but i think this is the ball i mean this ball is great.I mean there is no dislikes that i have i would say 10 pins but you get that with every ball but i think every one should own this ball.

Good ball for medium oil. I wouldn't use it if you are in a house with heavy oil or in a house with a far pattern. it is a good ball though. it is easy to adjust in the dry and can be used with many different lines such as out-in or strait up. I have one along with 5 other famile memembers. I am averaging 194 my dad has a 196 and the rest of my family is in the 170-180. it not a bad ball but it's not one of the best i have ever used

The ball was very surprising, I really didn't think it would have the back-end that it does, especially since I drilled it neutral. It likes to go long and then rip apart the back end. I got this ball at the same time as the Flipside WOW and they compliment eachother perfectly, along with my Icon. I won't switch from Columbia till they give me a reason to. I am going to buy another one of these balls and leave it undrilled until the one I have now finally dies out. It'll be nice to have a new one ready even after it has been discontinued.<

I just got this ball. Rolled a 209, 225, 230 in my frist Id say about 10 games. I usually average about 185 190. When the ball hits the pins run away. It goes pretty long and has a nice come back to the pocket. One thing i noticed was that the cover stock already has some nicks and dings. 10 games and i already got some dings? Don't know if that is normal. But over all a great first ball for me. you also have to stay consistant if you throw it too light it takes off and gets alot of head pin.

This ball does great in oil. I have no problem in carrydown. great ball for the price. Never had a problem getting it to hook. i have drilled mine at a 10:30 drilling great. sold many and seen great scores. I think columbia has hit the head of the hammer on the nail with this one and is going to continue to do the same with all there balls. They never seem to fail for me. I think if Columbia would come out with some more balls with the titanium core they would have better balls. They have ny vote for a great company

My average jump up 30 pins my first night using this ball. Get it near the pocket and you have a strike. This ball hits the pins with an explosion. I'm not an expert bowler, just average, my average was 124 before getting this ball, now its 154 and I've only had the ball a week. Its a great looking ball also, that was the selling point for me. My first two throws with this ball were strikes. Its say's for light to dry lanes, but i just used it today on really oily lanes and got my highest score ever. this is a must have ball for all bowlers.

I needed a ball that would go a little longer than my Icon when the alleys dried up so I decided to get the Messenger Pearl. I have the ball drilled to go real long and it still has great backend and hitting power. I have used it on synthetics and wood. On wood lanes with medium oil it tends to leave the 10 pin more than on the drier synthetics which is understandable. Still this is a great ball for medium to light conditions that hits hard. The only thing I don't like is that on dry lanes it hooks earlier than what I would like it to. Overall another great ball from Columbia 300.

Wow. What an incredible change. I picked this ball up for $130 drilled. My man in Union City, NJ hooked me up with a great drill for an awesome price. I took the ball out the next night and the difference in my gae ws incredible. Im not a great bowler yet so i was throwing some bad balls that ruined what would have been good scoring games, but I see this ball helping me into the next plateau of my game. All in all, its cheap, its got sick hook, and it hits hard. Awesome ball for an awesome price. Definately worth it. Thanks Columbia!<

This ball fits in between my Super Power Pearl and Morich Minatour. It goes long, stores energy well, and hits a ton. Not a big fan of Columbia's, BUT this ball may change my mind. Have a very tame drilling, but this ball still makes a strong mid lane reaction and rips the rack. I track low, PAP is 3 1/8 inches horizontal and 1/4 inch up from my CG. This ball still recovers strong for me, with a nice even arc and still packs alot of power at the point of impact. Very controlable ball that hits a ton, what else could you ask for?

This ball is perfect for any lane condition. I have used it many times and it works all the time. With this ball my average has gone up to past 200 from about 180, for a 15 year old girl I don't think that's too bad. I have recently won a tournament with this ball on light oil conditions. I also use this during my night league when the oil is pretty heavy and spotty. I'm glad that I invested my money in this ball because I have definitely gotten my money back out of it. It's my #1 bowling ball.<

I have been looking at this ball for a while. The ball looks very nice and it caught my eye, so I bought it. Since it was pearlized, I was not expecting it to have much response and backend, well I was very wrong. This ball slides and then breaks sharply to destroy the rack. The titanium center makes the ball blow up the rack compared to the blue Messenger that I also have. Columbia has made the Messenger line even MORE successful with the release of the BSP Titanium Messenger and I hope that they will continue to release quality bowling balls.
