Columbia 300 Swerve FX Bowling Ball

Core The Swerve FX features the same lower Mass Bias strength core as the original Swerve which makes it very driller friendly and allows the core to perform well for the masses. This core yields a slightly stronger mid-lane read than the typical symmetrical shape, while maintaining the predictability symmetrical balls provide. Cover Our original Reflex cover created a large amount of friction and was designed to use its energy throughout the entire lane. Switching to our new pearl version creates a stronger change of direction at the back end, resulting in shocking pin action. HyperShock Technology HyperSHOCK Technology is an energy enhancement material added to the outer core to help power the ball through the pins. This viscoelastic material works to control the influence pins have on the balls motion through the pin deck. The Swerve line, with HyperSHOCK Technology, not only gets you to the pocket, but drives through the pins like no other bowling balls on the planet. Clean and Smooth are the best words to describe the Swerve F/X. The motion I get from this ball down lane is like no other ball in my bag. It gets through the front and middle of the lane perfect and has a strong hooking motion at the back of the lane. The pearl coverstock allows the ball to store energy for the back of the lane and from my experience it does not overhook. It is very smooth but continuous and on most nights it is the first ball out of my bag. I haven't had the best success on larger volume patterns but on house shots this ball is perfect. The layout I used was 70x5x30 and I like the reaction that it gives me. The ball is very versatile. Keep it polished with powerhouse for best results. I love this ball. I bought it because I really wanted to try the hypershock technology. Let me tell you, this ball hits very hard and keeps the pins very low on the deck. I have been most happy with this ball out of all my new equipment. I am able to play a wide variety of angles with this ball. I can play any board between 10-20 on ths by just moving my feet. On tss I am able to play between 10-15, again in the same manner by moving my feet. The Fx is a ball I am able to use on tss. For me finding a consistent ball for tss was always a challenge but that changed after this purchase. Priced a bit high but worth every penny. Better get one before their gone. -CSK
