Columbia 300 Super Trooper Bowling Ball

(4 reviews) Write a Review

Super Trooper saves the day! Its controlled performance inspires even the casual bowler. With the extremely popular Rock On core body, no flip blocks and a lower Rg to create less flare. Count on an earlier roll with a smooth backend reaction. Its Super-Flex coverstock is impressively sharp in polished black/violet with silver sparkle logo. And a great value to boot. Territorial on medium to dry lanes, this Super Trooper plays for keeps.

I ordered the ball with a pin out so I could get a strong snap on drier lanes in order to keep the carry from deep inside. It definitely delivered. I got a ball that will make the turn on fresh oil and also allow me to move inside past twenty when the lanes start to burn up. The carry that I still have from inside twenty is unbelievable especially when you consider the price tag. I am amazed that I don't see more people throwing this ball. Would recommend this ball for any bowler from a beginner to a pro looking for a ball for medium to drier lanes.

Made 13 strikes in a row in a two practice games (6 in the end of the first one and 7 at the start of the second one). The ball drilled to be able to performe good in Medium to Dry lanes by drilling it to Skid/Snap. The ball doesn't lose any power on the lane even when I throw it deep and hits the pins with lots of power. the ball had a much more spine that I thoght it wiil have, didn't mine to but now it is the first ball out of the bag. hope you'll buy this one it is a really good ball.

This is a definite bargain for a ball that fits between your benchmark and dry lane ball. This is not a dry lane ball though. It revs up too quickly to keep its energy for the backends. This ball seemed condition specifc, but at the price, I decided to see what it can do. When I first used it on fresh oil, I expected the Super Trooper to just skid but I was surprised. The super trooper kept its line in the pocket barley skidding even though it really didn't hook. After two games with my benchmark ball, RS1, the lanes were broken down enough for the Super Trooper to be useable. It was similar to the power groove sanded but the groove was more flippy and uncontrolable than the very smooth and predictable Super Trooper. The next day I tried the Super Trooper on a dry shot, I could not use it, it hooked way too much but I never do as good as I want to on dry lanes anyway. This ball is a great deal for broken down conditions in any type of bowler's arsenal.

When we first received this ball as a test ball, I was coming closer and closer to one of the worst days of my life. I had to find a replacment for my trusty Columbia300 Cuda/C. I figured that this ball might do the trick, so I went ahead and gave it a try. We put the CG in my palm and kicked the pin out about 2 inches above and 1/2 inch to the left of my middle finger( remember, I use lefty drillings). I took the ball out on second shift, on a pair that had two full 4-person teams bowling first squad. I couldn't get an accurate read, since the heads were pretty toast by this time. When I bowled the next day though, this ball really shined. I go 237-280-213---730 series. The ball hit like a gold-plated cement truck. The core kept the ball from flaring up too much, but the coverstock still gave the ball the backend POP it needed to demolish the rack. This ball is the ball to get for a fresh shot...and with it priced around the Beast w/ Mica, you can't get a better deal!!!
