this ball is a great heavy oil ball. I usually dont use columbia but this ball is great. it is ment for realy heavy oil so when it starts to dry up put this away and if you have it take out columbia best ball the scout. it has great early roll. good mid lane roll and a continous and smooth backend. it is very forgivable if you miss your mark to the out side ( on a house shot ) then this ball has a good shot of coming back. the only thing bad about this ball is that it absorbs oil quick so make sure you keep it clean.

A little over a year ago, I was torn between buying this ball or a Storm X-Factor ReLoaded. I, stupidly, chose the Storm. When I told my wife I wasnted to buy another ball, she gave me a big sermon about how I already have so many balls and how I don't need another NEW one. New being the key word haha. So, I found a used Full Throttle on eBay with only a few games on it delivered to my door for $35.00. And I've never looked back. I had the ball plugged and redrilled label. The pin is just above and to the right of my ring, the cg centered laterally and on the outside of my palm. No axis hole. The first time I threw this ball, I started 1 dot left of center, threw over third arrow, expecting maybe a brooklyn. I hit the 7. THE 7!!! Damn, did I ever smile. Now that I've got a few games on the ball, I'm standing 1 dot, 2 boards left of center, playing second arrow out to first board. This ball will come back. You will not believe it until you've tried it. I've threw this

This ball is an x-out(second cg mismarked).Determined the cg to be 2" from pin ,top weight was 2 3/4 oz before drilling.Drilled with pin next to ring finger,W/cg in palm 1 1/2" above midline,no weight hole was needed(should be USBC legal HA HA!!).I've used this ball in league(38 ft walled 8x8) and at an old wooden house after leagues(heads were gone, moderate carrydown). The thing I really like about this ball is on two drastically different surfaces and two different shots this ball was very even hooking and very perdictable. In my league I was able to chase the oil in and as long as I faced the ball at the pocket about 15 at the arrows to about 12 at the breakpoint, the ball "set up" and carried well.I got more of an arc driling on this ball because I wanted broad pattern coverage and a ball that could smooth out over/under reactions and it is a very EVEN hooking ball.On the second shift I could get some area facing the ball away from the pocket about a 15 to 8 swing with a smooth arcin

This ball will dig in and grab. If there was a Baja 1000 for bowlers and the road were real wet, then you can use this ball to start the race. Go balls out because like a bull it will charge through, a juggernaut on oil. This ball is seasonal because when summer arrives humidity changes and oil dries out quicker, time to go downshift to something with less traction and less horsepower. The throttle family is complimentary and a downshift to a Throttle up or Throttle R will compliment hte surface. I have not polished mine up yet, with the other series in stock, why would you want to do that unless you have one that looks like charcoal and one that reflects your smile when you imitate Narcissus?

great ball but after 200 games it wouldnt hook on oily lanes... usually played outside first from 3-7 arrow and would nail the pocket every time.. but on wood this ball would roll so much i had to play it out so far... this ball gave me a 279 after 150 games so its worth the money... if you have the money buy one before they all get sold out!!! probably the best ball ever for strokers... and i just started getting a track on it after 300 games so i finally put the ball to rest on my shelf in my room... now it stands in honor to everyone that enters my room... i will miss it dearly but one day i might use it again

This ball is drilled with the pin above the ring fiinger and it has no wieght ballance hole , The pin is 3 inchs from cg I use a scotchbright on the surface to make it arc earlier so I can have a higher entry into the pocket that it seems to carry alot better. On fresh house shot this ball crush the pins I just got yesterday and aready shot my high game serires 276,265,247=788 not bad for a nights of bowling ,I just missed a 800 series I play the second arrow out , when this ball makes its move there is nothing left of the pins awsome ball

I have stayed away from Columbia for a long time, and was leery in purchasing it. I trusted my pro shop guy, and I'm glad I did. Columbia balls in the past cracked at the bridge or grip area, and so far, after 100 games or so, this one looks durable. I have also tried it in a Sport League, and was surprised at the control I got, because I figured it was too aggresive a ball for flatter patterns. I hope I can use it in Baton Rouge this spring in the ABC. Maybe the Columbia Panic is next, for a toast-ball.

This is a must buy for any bowler looking for the ball to give you that extra edge over anyone else. Very predictable and controllable. Now i only had this ball for a week and still need practice but i am consitently bowling over 200 with it and highest right now with it is a 260. Once u find your mark your gold. When the lanes start to break down i either move over to the left or normally pull out Hyde (usally about second game pending on oil) by the third game i pull out Jekyll (also use it as my spare ball when there is oil on the lanes). Beginners or Unconsistent Bowlers should not buy this ball. If you are unable to throw the same shot consistently this ball will be a nightmare. Overall this ball is awesome and hopefully in the next few weeks i update and let u know what i still think and see if i can finally get that 300 i been looking for :) (10/2 shot a 279)(11/1/04 shot a 740 series) this ball is a pin killer!!

I'VE HAD THIS BALL THREE MONTHS. WITH IT,I SHOT MY FIRST EVER 11-IN-A-ROW 279, AND MY FIRST EVER 800. (278- 278- 258) [814]...AWESOME PIN ACTION..HIT 'EM THIN, WATCH 'EM SPIN,, HIT 'EM HIGH, WATCH 'EM FLY !! LOVES TO TRIP THE 4 PIN, MESSENGERS TAKE OUT THE 10. I LEAVE MORE 7 PINS THAN 10 PINS NOW, BUT THAT'S OK. I'D RATHER SHOOT THE 7 ANYWAY. I SOMETIMES HAVE TO PUT THIS BALL AWAY BY THE 3RD GAME IF THE HEADS DRY OUT, IF I TRY TO SPEED IT UP, IT WON'T "REV-UP" IN THE MIDS.

I have to say this ball is one of the best I've thrown. I am a little disappointed that this ball is primarily for heavy oiled lanes but I will be glad to have it in those situations. I was hoping to use this ball on a medium oil shot but if the ball doesn't make it through the heads clean its a nightmare trying to control the ball from making an immediate turn and thus rolling out too soon. But I am happy with my purchase and I believe anyone looking to add some arsenal to their game would appreaciate this ball. I look forward to kickin some butt this fall with the full throttle

This is currently the only reactive ball that I own. In 7 going on 8 years of bowling, I've purchased 2 reactive balls. Everything else was particle. I must say I'm very glad that I purchased this ball. I tried it in the dull box finish and it performs as advertised. Heavy oil ball that saves energy for the backend. It got through the heads clean and wow did it ever rev up in the midlane and finished with a smooth arc to the pocket. The reaction was similar to my Chaos and the Super Carbide Bomb that I had at the time. I decided to use 1200 grit polish on the ball and see how it reacted polished. I used this ball for 4 weeks in a sport league and averaged around 200 with it. While polished, it gets through the heads clean, has more length and snaps hard instead of arcs smoothly. I like this ball a lot better in the polished finish. Overall, this is a very versatile ball and I think that just about anyone would love having this ball. Life span should be longer too seeing as

Columbia sent us this ball for Willie Willis to throw. Willie laid it out with the pin above his ring finger and the cg stacked on his grip line. On our house shot, with the outsides being dry and more oil in the middle, Willie was able to play third arrow swing this ball out to 5 and get the ball back without a problem. The ball has awesome hitting power, whatever angle you play on the lane. We didn't make any surface adjustments because this ball cleared the heads out of the box on everything but dry lane conditions, which is not what this ball is made for. I think this was the best overall Throttle in the line. This is a strong reactive coverstock, with the Throttle core. The Full Throttle gives you a smooth overall arcing motion to the pocket. Full Throttle is a great ball to replace the ICON line.........The hook on this ball is unreal at 1st, but once you get your mark expect strikes, strikes, strikes, strikes. Never left a 10 pin in 12 games of bowling.......Only problem is dry lanes....Keep this ball in the bag if the lanes are dry PLEASE.......this really frustrated me because I was so exited about the reaction this ball was giving me......Ready to try on wood lanes to see difference.......Synthetic was a great experience....Try throwing it a little harder as the oil breaksdown and be ready for ride you won't forget

Bought this ball last Tuesday (Feb. 3). I am a full roller: pin 10 3/16" from the center of grip in the 1:30 direction. with a 25/32 bit 3.5" deep to take the excessive side weight. I bowled on wooden lanes with stripped backends when it was ready. Hooked right out of my hand and chipped the 7 pin. Brought it back to the pro shop and they polished it up to 2000 grit. Threw again: goes long with a hard flip in the backend into the pocket. I subbed for a team on Sunday, shot 182, 244 the first two games then put it away for the third since the lanes were breaking down. A great ball for heavy/medium oil in my opinion : )

I previously had the throttle up and loved it but the ball rolled to early on some condittions so i figured why not get the new full throttle and actually add a reactive ball to my fully particle arsenal. So i order it with a 4" pin and 3.5 oz top weight, Have it drille with pin 1" above bridge and cg kicked out to side so MB is in the strong. I shot with it last night and let me tell you, this ball is amazing. If i didn't strike which was rare all i left were one pin spares. I've never had a ball finish so strong.

The ball was drilled with the pin above the ring finger and the CG stacked in the palm of the hand. The ball had great lenght and would make a left turn, however if you are having a bad day with your timing this ball is not very forgiving. I think if you have every thing going well and you make the same shot time after time this will be a great ball. You can watch the ball roll down the lane and you can see it start to rev up. Once it starts it does not stop. This ball will be great with a little hold area and the back ends not so fresh. I probably rated this ball low. I will try another day and re-rate it.
