I INTRODUCING THE BOSS TM WITH THE NEW TITANIUM TiCOR TM SYSTEM. For the last thirty-seven years Columbia 300 has been setting new standards in bowling ball technology. Our goal is simple. Make bowlers better and the the sport better. We are now going to raise the bar once again. Introducing the BOSS. The first bowling ball ever made with a Titanium ceramic core. The denser Titanium ceramic is part of a unique core-in-a-core-in-a-core design called TiCOR. The TiCOR design with the Titanium ceramic core means more revs with less effort resulting in more entry angle and therefore more hitting power. HOW DID WE REVOLUTIONIZE THE BOWLING BALL? WE PUT A WHOLE NEW SPIN ON IT, OF COURSE. The BOSS is designed to be the maximum revving, earliest rolling and most forgiving ball ever produced. There is no other ball like this. No other, ball has a Titanium ceramic core. No other ball has the TiCOR technology. This is a high performance ball that is easy to drive. It gives the bowler more control because it reads the lane and is incredibly forgiving. This is the story of a breakthrough new ball called the BOSS and a company that never stops moving forward.

Rg Measurement Chart X-Axis Y-Axis Differential
BOSS 2.473 2.512 .039
Pulse 2.546 2.572 .026
Primal Rage 2.570 2.635 .065

**Note the significantly lower Rg numbers of the BOSS as compared to the Pulse and the Primal Rage. Columbia has designed the BOSS to be the maximum revving, earliest rolling and most forgiving ball ever produced. Understanding most lane conditions in today's game provide heavy oil in the center and dry boards on the outside, the BOSS was developed to rev heavy in the oil which reduces overreaction in the dry, providing more area to the pocket. WHY TITANIUM? The extraordinary performance characteristics of titanium have been well documented over the last few years in sporting good products, i.e. golf clubs, tennis rackets, fishing rods and reels, etc. Columbia has made a revolutionary breakthrough by incorporating the strength and power of titanium with the density and hardness of ceramics. the BOSS's Titanium Ceramic core is more dense than traditional aluminum-oxide ceramic cores enabling the BOSS to deliver lower Rg numbers, maximum turns for a bowler, and more hitting and carrying power at the pocket. No doubt, other balls will try to utilize titanium in their future cores, but none will have the benefits and features of titanium that is made in the form of a ceramic.

This ball was givin to me by a friend just resently. It only had 6 games rolled on it. The ball looks brand new for being 10 years old. He had it customed drill for me, in a fashion that I cannot give away. I play the 22 line and roll this beauty to 12-13. It is so aggresive, that once it hits that dry spot. The ball hits the pocket like a mad man. At times if I miss my mark and hit 10-11. The ball 99% of the time will give me a brooklin strike. This ball is now part of 3 ball group. Perfect<scr

This ball has bailed me out many times. I bought this off a friend about six years ago because I didn't have anything I could throw if the lanes were really oily. Although my league shot doesn't usually have tons of oil on the shot, I've had to use this at tournaments I've bowled in. I like the early reaction I can get from the Boss especially since I go down and in most the time and I have an alternative shot with this. Not the ball you want to use on the dry stuff though unless your ball speed is like Maximum Bob

It is a great ball for fresh oil but has trouble in heavier and longer patterns. You can use it on tight conditons like that but you have to slow down a lot...to 12-13 mph and hit your target. You have to be able to use various axis tilts from full roll to 90 degree to play the widest range of oil patterns and keep the lane wide open. If you can, this ball is very forgiving and will carry very well. The telling sign it is losing its condtitions is when the middle and deep inside shots are leaving back row pins from weak pocket hits, or outside and middle are crossing over....kill the hand and inconsistent shots as well.

I was given this ball in 1997 by my father who was an ex-pro bowler and pro shop owner. Before the Boss, I was strictly a Hammer man so my introduction to this ball was tainted with skeptecisim. It rolls very smoothly and will carry as long as you have a decent amount of revs on the ball. However, this ball ain't even close to being a Hammer. Try floating this ball to the pocket and you will leave all manner of splits and odd taps. In a tournament just this year, i threw the only 5-7-10 split i have ever seen and it was a SOLID pocket hit. The fun didnt end there. The lanes were a bit on the sloppy side and the ball just couldnt cut through it with any kind of power. Still, despite all her faults, she has managed to help me average 220 in league bowling just once a week and I think thats none too shabby. Kudos to this old gal but I think there will be a newer lady in my future very soon. Update 3/04 This ball didnt care for the heat of florida's sun and promptly cracked l
