Reaction Characteristics The Ultimate Inferno is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks. The Ultimate Inferno uses the same core as the original Inferno but combines it with a solid 800-grit dull version of Activator coverstock. Compared to the original Inferno: -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better to oily lane conditions, longer patterns and heavy carry down. -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better for bowlers who struggle with excessively long ball reaction. -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better on heavily oiled - over/under lane conditions. Brunswick’s new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of ball reaction. On the lanes, Activator Coverstock is clean through the heads with excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong arcing back-end reaction that creates powerful pin action.

This ball has fit my style perfectly. My boss had me throw his Phenom Unleashed and Crunch Time to see which roll I liked better. I liked his roll for the Unleashed and had him put that drill pattern on this ball. My god does it rule. I could play numerous lines with this thing. Out of the box I play from about the 10 board to about the 4 and shot 697...with 3 pocket 7-10 splits. Two of those splits surrounded 11 strikes in a row. The next night I got the front 10 and obliterated the rack each ball, except for my tug job 4-6-7. I took the ball to another house with a shorter pattern and the ball just needed some more speed to hold line. Shot a couple 250's and was satisfied.

House #3 with the ball had different results but it just wasn't my night. No matter what ball I used the ball would squirt outside and never finish. Tons of oil in the heads and down the middle. I played outside first arrow the whole way and had a great line. When I figured that line out I slammed

I have the original inferno and it is a great ball but this inferno makes a sharper turn and it hits the pins much harder. with this ball i play inside the third arrow and not worry about the ball coming back and it finishes strong. Ball is easy to control and its versatile suitable for any style bowler but i say its better for a stroker . No carrydown problems for me the ball seems to handle it very well and never use this ball on anything less than medium oil because if you do it will need polish and i find the ball to be a little squirly polished. Its a oil ball not for dryer lanes. Overall a great ball.

I bought this ball hoping to finally find a good oil RESIN ball. No one really makes a good resin ball for oil anymore. I own all three Inferno's and my Raging outhooks this ball especially on the backend. This ball needs head oil, don't throw it in the track too quick, it will roll up and out. I had to polish and play inside of fourth and it hits hard but just dosen't have the backend I need for where I have to throw it to get it through the heads. When I try to slow up, leaves 4-9's like crazy. Just dosen't match up for me. Also, for the first time this Inferno was tracking quickly. I sold it already. Still the Inferno line is great, just not this ball for me.

I'm a right handed bowler with a stroker style. My A-game is to play down and in, but I am comfortable with the arc when needed. The ball was drilled with the pin just to the right of the ring finger and a balance hole about 4 inches to the right of the pin. (I'm not a technical guy)- Used this ball for the first time on a medium oil wood house, 40 feet of oil and carry down on top of that. I immediately noticed that this ball begins hooking immediately with no lope, even with head oil clearly present. I was able to move left and put this in the pocket, but after about 4-5 frames I put it away and replaced it with my Fear Factor (a much more down and in ball). I then played the Ultimate on a heavy pattern, again long oil and the ball did the trick. Everyone else was adjusting like mad and leaving wash-outs and splits, while I calmly was playing 20 to 5 and rolling nicely in the pocket. (As a caveat, I never had much success with the Raging Inferno as the polish made it too much l

The ball blew the rack to shreds. I got the ball left it flipped and charged the hole, I sent it short and it held in the oil and smashed the rack. I did notice that after the first game I had to move a board right and then to start the third game I had to move a board and a half left. The ball hates carry down but if you move your feet and your target accordingly it will still carry. This ball should be in your bag if you bowl first shift and they shoot the heads because it recovers without loss of power.

I got this ball a few days ago (2/28/2004). After one game of learning a new track (my other ball is an Illusion drilled for a medium hook), I threw a 196 in my second game. The next night, at a different house, but with similar lanes (synthetic; medium-heavy oil) I took it to one of my leagues. I set career highs in series (722) and single-game (279). What a ball! I intend to use this as my primary first ball for most places, and use the Illusion as my spare ball. If the UI hooks too much on a given gme, I'll just use my Illusion as my ball for both shots. But I hope that's not to often! This ball eats oil off the lane. I soak my Illusion in hot soapy water after every 50 games. The UI may have to go in the tank every 30-40 games. I clean the ball after each series out, so we'll see how well it holds it's hook until the first soak. UPDATE (3/9/2004): I have found that on flooded conditions this ball struggled a lot. The good news it that it ate up enough oil that after 1 3/4

This is one of Brunswick's best ever. This ball has everything that you want in a heavy oil ball. It is extremely versatile and finishes with raw power in the pocket. The ball just destroys the pins and even if you miss or yank on your side of the pocket, it will come back because of its resiliency and versatility. Pretty much every method of drilling is very good for the ball because it will hook. The ball must be kepy clean as it soaks up oil like a sponge. Whether it is dull or polished, you will like this ball and you will get some very high scores.

We received our Brunswick pro source ball the other day, and I punched this one up for myself. The pin was below my middle finger and the CG was on my grip line. The pin ended up being 5 3/4" from my PAP and the CG was 5". I bowled on a Sport Condition with medium to heavier oil pattern and this ball was great to have. I started the night standing 35-40 and sending the ball out to the 6th or 7th board, and the ball would just glide through the heads, and mid lane. At around 37-40 feet the ball would put on the turn signal and make a hard move to the pocket. This ball keeps the low and looked like a street sweeper because there was nothing left on the deck after it went through. Throughout the night I kept moving deeper and deeper, without a problem of getting the ball back. Last game I decided to try moving outside and go more up the lane. With a wrist adjustment, I was able to throw the ball up the boards around 3 and get the ball to the pocket without a problem. The ball

I drilled the ball yesterday, PIN above finger bridge, CG kick out 0.5 inch . the pin action is crazy, I use the third game on the league,I have to move left 5 board to match with the ball. normally I will polish all of my ball, but due to the lane prettern changed to heavy oil , the carry down more, then I choose to get this one to my first dull surface ball, although the ball is in dull, but the head is like the pearl surface ball, clean...... the ball will roll up a bit early, mid lane action is great and the ball towards to the pocket....pin action is very very great......!!!
