Brunswick Ultimate Inferno Bowling Ball

(226 reviews) Write a Review

Reaction Characteristics The Ultimate Inferno is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks. The Ultimate Inferno uses the same core as the original Inferno but combines it with a solid 800-grit dull version of Activator coverstock. Compared to the original Inferno: -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better to oily lane conditions, longer patterns and heavy carry down. -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better for bowlers who struggle with excessively long ball reaction. -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better on heavily oiled - over/under lane conditions. Brunswick’s new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of ball reaction. On the lanes, Activator Coverstock is clean through the heads with excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong arcing back-end reaction that creates powerful pin action.

I think this is the strongest reactive ball in the world.... you just send out the ball, and then it will do everything to make a strike for you..... hook a lot, but not mean uncontrolable ..... hook a lot, but not means can skid......... skid, but not means not mid lane action.... the only thing is... it really drink a lot of oil.....If you are a league player..... better buy this and put into your bag!!! thanks thanks Brunswick

This ball is a machine. I watched others throw it with unbelievable power so I had to try it. I bought a Storm Super Charge and it died after about 100 games. So, I went to this ball. Man, I am glad I did. I shot well on a Sport condition then I took it to my league and I shot 279, 182, 226. Would have been a nice 700 had I not screwed up my second game. This ball has worked for me on oil and a drier condition as well. I just moved my line and threw accordingly. If you a looking for something that hooks as advertised, this is the ball for you. Believe me you won't be dissappointed. I haven't seen too many people that are with this ball.

Great ball. I have the original Inferno and the Raging Inferno - this ball gives me more options that the other two. Our lanes do not have a very strong backend, but that's not a problem with the Ultimate Inferno. I've thrown it at the "out of box" condition and I've thrown it polished and I love both reactions. Chose to keep it unpolished since I have the original Inferno polished. If you need a ball to open up the lanes for you or if you need a ball to help fight 'the flood', you absolutely must have this ball !!ALOHA AND GOOD BOWLING!<

I have 4 sets with this ball 672, 622, 691, and 646. the 622 and 691 were with 170 games. I should have put the ball away when the lanes brokedown, but I was trying to learn what I could do with it. The first game out of the box was 257. It does exactly what I expected to do. The ball is drilled in the 1L brunswick layout. It gets down the lane and makes a devastating move to the pocket. In 12 games I think I have 1 or 2 splits. I have left some 8 and 9 pins though. This is a very good Med/Hvy oil reactive ball.

Just picked up the ball today. I brought my phenom along to see how the 2 balls react. When I got there the lanes were medium oil for the first 18 feet of the lane. I threw the phenom standing left of middle and threw over the 2 arrow and slid it out to about the fith board with the ball arcing back until it slamed the pocket. I then threw the UI(ultimate Inferno). I moved and stood with my right foot lined up with the center dot. Threw as If I was going after the ten pin and the ball went down the lane till it got about to the 2 bord. It goes farther then the Phenom but then freakin takes off like an F-16 with full afterburner. Talk about hitting the poket. Its more like a sonic boom when this thing hits. There was one guy walking by and he stoped to watch the ball go down the lane and I heard him say wow!! as the ball hit the pocket. They were oiling the lanes and the guy asked if I wanted my lanes oiled. So I said sure why not I can see how the ball reacts on fresh oil.

The ball did more than I had expected from the company. Great in the heavy oil. Did try it on medium conditions to see how it would react, but I think I will stay with my Element by Dyno-Thane which is meant for Medium-Heavy conditions. If you are looking for big hook, but can control it, this ball is good for you. If you are looking for early hook in heavy oiled conditions, I believe this ball is a winner for you! *This ball is also great for sport condition lanes, tried it out myself, hooks good, just have to work it out a bit more.*<scr

This ball should be sold for $300 Dollars its that good. in my opinion dont bag it when lanes break down just throw harder and u will be surprised how when the ball hits pins they just melt like butter.

this ball has good hitting power and leaves some room to miss left. you cant throw the ball out too far though because it wont come back and cant pull it too much but thats a normal bowling ball. this was my first hooking ball since my duece boost and reloaded seemed to have died. it was a great return to me having to not play striaght up. i loved everything about it and it even gives some messenger. at first i was thinkin of the triple x factor but many said it doesnt hook as much as the animal. then i was gonna get the animal but then i thought about it and wanted to try a brunswick so i got it and i wasnt disappointed. great back end reaction well i have had over a 100 games and this ball and it still gets great. it picks up dirt easily but works great on many sport shot conditions. some people might have to get this ball polished a little bit because it tends to hook up a little bit early. this is a great ball if you like to play more direct or get some swing in your game. just

This ball has fit my style perfectly. My boss had me throw his Phenom Unleashed and Crunch Time to see which roll I liked better. I liked his roll for the Unleashed and had him put that drill pattern on this ball. My god does it rule. I could play numerous lines with this thing. Out of the box I play from about the 10 board to about the 4 and shot 697...with 3 pocket 7-10 splits. Two of those splits surrounded 11 strikes in a row. The next night I got the front 10 and obliterated the rack each ball, except for my tug job 4-6-7. I took the ball to another house with a shorter pattern and the ball just needed some more speed to hold line. Shot a couple 250's and was satisfied. House #3 with the ball had different results but it just wasn't my night. No matter what ball I used the ball would squirt outside and never finish. Tons of oil in the heads and down the middle. I played outside first arrow the whole way and had a great line. When I figured that line out I slammed
