Brunswick Ultimate Inferno Bowling Ball

(226 reviews) Write a Review

Reaction Characteristics The Ultimate Inferno is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks. The Ultimate Inferno uses the same core as the original Inferno but combines it with a solid 800-grit dull version of Activator coverstock. Compared to the original Inferno: -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better to oily lane conditions, longer patterns and heavy carry down. -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better for bowlers who struggle with excessively long ball reaction. -The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better on heavily oiled - over/under lane conditions. Brunswick’s new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of ball reaction. On the lanes, Activator Coverstock is clean through the heads with excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong arcing back-end reaction that creates powerful pin action.

This ball was crazy out the box. Shot 690,702,and 711 the first three nights i used it,But after the ball broke in it didn't give me the same kind of perfomance.I have used this ball on a variety of shots including sport shots, tournaments, and house shots.I performed pretty well, just look out for dry lanes.Anyhow would highly suggest this ball to anyone who is lookin for a good ball at a decent price.I can't wait to try the new strike zone to see if that works better for me. Another Brunswick classic

Out of the box, had it drilled to fit using the dimensions from all the tape in my old ball for a tighter fit. The first few throws were a bit off as granted, but when I got the hang of it, wow. It hit the pocket like a truck, obliterating everything in its path, I've been a frequent 10pin ringer, but not with this thing, and even into the pocket sloppy, generated enough action to leave me good spares. My previous ball is an old Brunswick HPD danger, and the difference as you would imagine is a world apart, with the Danger I could throw through it's hook with no worries, polished or gritted, with the Inferno, it sinks its claws in, and just hooks so pretty.

I use the Brunswick Ultimate Inferno as my starter ball. When the lane starts to break down I bag it really quick. I shoot 10 pins about 90% so leaving 10 pins doens't hurt me, but when I miss when the lane starts to give I start to leave some splits. This ball is very very unforgiving because I can't get any pin carry at all. Other people might have better sucess with it but I blow all the pin right out the back with the Ultimate Inferno. If I could get a little pin action I love it but as I said it is like shooting a cannon ball at a brick wall. The falling bricks don't knock down any more of the wall because they are flying out the back.<s

Being 13 years old and bowling a center with a variety of shots it is hard to find a ball that willl fit each days lane condition. I bought the Ultimate Inferno and it has been working great so far, less ten pins, higher games, but most of all i have been bowling consistent with this ball, I would recommend this for medium-oily lanes only because this balll can hook ! I threw this ball on the 6 board and it has hooked into the pocket and blasted the rack, othertimes i tugged it high, and it slid all the way and i still got a strike

I thought when I bought this ball, that this would be the ball of choice. Well it wasn't, it might of been the way it was drilled. I wanted this ball to be drilled with a 4" pin and a lot of thumb weight, but for some reason the guy who drills my balls decided to drill it max saying it would work better for me. Well, WRONG. This ball worked good for me on med to dry lanes, but I was looking more toward heavy oil for the ball. In heavy oil, this ball didn't move and when it did move for me, I would leave nothing but, tap, tap, tap. I was hoping that this ball would of been the ball of my choice but unforuntely it wasn't.

The ball is drilled pin below and to the right of the ring finger, CG kicked out to the right, with a 2 and 1/2 inch pin, and 3.5 oz top weight. Dry: hahahahaha......didn't even think about trying this ball on dry Medium: on medium conditions the UI tended to roll far too quickly unless used far inside, making the condition the ball needed to be used on very specific Heavy: The ball worked well on most heavy patterns, with a nice backend and average carry. On floods, however, the ball tended to skid out and not carry at all. Overall to me this ball was too strong for most conditions and not strong enough for the heaviest of conditions. The oil had to be perfect for me to use this ball.

This Ball has change the way I bowl tremendously. MY Story Week 25 of my league I'm averaging about a 165- Throwing a 16lbs Track Rule, pin over my ring finger, MB down and to the right of my thumb. very unpredicable skid flip, 16lbs RG Sonic Boom: specs- who cares anymore (its about to see the house rack, if you know what i mean) high series- 598, next best- 560 something High game-255,( threw it like a stroker, i'm not a stroker ) next best- 225 ((((( THE TURNING POINT)))) Bought Ultimate Inferno from buddies pro shop League Week 26 - 550 something. I didn't do so hot because of the bad tendencies I pick up with the Rule Week 27- 680, high game 255 Week 28- 702, high game 245 Week 29- 643 high game 277 after the 2nd frame 10 X's in a row. Practice between week 26-29 with the UI shot a 727. I'm throwing 240, 250, 260'es like i've been bowling for years. I'm taking so much pot money that the UI is paying for itself.

If you are looking for a ball for heavy oil , this is the ball for you. This ball has great carry, even though its sharp entry angle. Good for down and in on heavy oil or deep inside lines on a medium pattern. The Ultimate Inferno is designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks. This is a must have ball for any one who is serious about bowling. One of my favorite balls made by any company. I will most likely get another one, because it is that good! ¡Viva la nación de Brunswick! P.S. you can aslo ask me more quetions about this ball and all of my other ball on BallReviews.com under BrunsBowler.

I bought this ball the friday before a tournament and did great. The ball was awesome. It hooked tremendusly. Now that i have bowl alot of games with it, during leauge i can start around 1st arrow and then move left. I love this ball so much, i will be willing to pay the price to buy another one so i can change the pin placment on it. I don't reccomend this ball for slower rollers unless u expect to play DEEP!! Whe i first rolled it, it went cross lane and went in the gutter, but the moved and did great!!.

Lefty senior bowler ( 67) first time out of the box and into league play shot 279 252 279 --- 810 fiished four game set with a 258 for 1068 . I average around 210 .can I get any better with age ?? I have been using the Brunswick pearl fuze or the hammer pearl vicious. Too many 7 pins . The absolute only left two in the four games and three ten pins due to a weak release. Great start !! This lookes like one of the best balls from Brunswick in a long line of great balls, keeps the pins low and scatters everything. <scri

I've got two hundred plus games on this monster, had it plugged and re-drilled and its still just as awesome as it was day one.Re-surfaced two times, dull, polished, whatever this ball is indestrctable and it just keeps on ROLLIN' ROLLIN' ROLLIN" DOWN THE LANES.powerful hit ,carry, carry down,med.-heavy oil, wood, synthetic, combo.,new pins, old pins are just no match for the ULTIMATE INFERNO. Brunswick just keeps pumping them out like a finely tuned machine. They should have named this ball ULTANATOR. HEY I'M OUT I GOT THE ITCH LET'S GO BOWLING!!!!<

I got this ball from Carly Clayton(sexy/cool friend/good female bowler) and she said she didnt like it at all.... and for $20, that ball was mine! I drilled it up on a saturday, and with no practice at Travel League, @ Unity Lanes, I SHOT 699!!!!!!!!! on my last ball of my last frame, in the last game, i thought i was clear in the 700, but i needed a 8-count to shoot 7-flat.... well i leave a 7-count and shoot 699..... fun day! This ball revs up real good, and i love it to death! It helped me get thru my release problems and now that i got that down, i can work w/ my Raging Inferno, and i just drilled up a Blazing Inferno, so i'll comment on those soon!
