Octane GriptionTM Coverstock The Total Infernoâ„¢ is the second ball to take full advantage of Brunswick's new Urethane casting machine. By fusing a new additive with new processing technology, Brunswick has created a version of Octane coverstock with more back-end grip. Reaction Characteristics - Absolute Infernoâ„¢ on Steroids With increased grip in light oil and in the dry, Octane Gription coverstock gives the Total Inferno a length similar to other rough buffed Brunswick balls but with more response late in the mid-lane, on the back-ends and on the thickest of carrydown. Improved grip has another advantage. The Total Inferno responds less to oil moving down the lane, minimizing reaction changes due to carrydown. The increase in down lane hooking action delivers a ball with both high hook potential and high angularity on today's lane conditions. The Total Inferno uses the lowest RG core Brunswick has ever put in a bowling ball. A fast revving, su

Got about 20 games on it now...was throwin a Zone Pro Active for years (I'm cheap)...this ball didn't do much on synthetic, but great on wood...I was throwin 2nd arrow down and in with the Zone, now it's between 2nd and 3rd arrows and gettin it out there, recovers well when I miss to the outside, sits in the oil when I miss inside...some of my best shots were missin my mark by 2 boards, but then some of my best looking shots hittin my mark left odd single pins (just gettin used to the new angle I'm throwin)...great intermediate ball, paid 155 for it, drilling and plugs included, I'm more than happy with it so far

great ball overall...this ball does not handle well on heavy oil. medium to light oil is recommended. if this ball is being used on heavy oil then make sure you lift a lot and shoot for first arrow. this ball is quite easy to control on any lane condition...as long as you know what you are doing. however this ball does not do very well on dry lanes. it tends to over hook and hits brooklynn quite a bit so make sure you move over according to your dominate hand. but the only problem i find is BEWARE OF TEN PINS

TOTALED! The ball dies too soon. I liked all the infernos but this one was the worse. I'm glad i got it for free. The ball leaves to many weird leaves and its not forgiving. When the ball came out everyone went wild buying the ball and i have not found one guy who likes it. I' m a fussy guy but I dont give up right away. I beleive that when one practices he should use the ball that gives him trouble...Its practice , therefore you will learn more. I use it ocassionaly , but I polished the ball for 5 mins in the machine and The reaction is much better. I know that brunswick balls are known for there early rolling reaction but I made a move to Storm and theres a difference.

I moved over to this ball from a plastic. My score had topped out around 130 with a straight ball. After a 1 hour lesson I'm now rolling 170's+ with this ball. This ball will hook as much or little as you want. So if you're a beginner like me and looking to upgrade, this ball would be a fine choice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (100 word minimum for review, feels like high school) I like this ball very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very much.<

The ball doesnt seem to track up as bad as the fury did but does not have the greatest carry percentage. I have seen a few of these thrown against me and for the most part I am glad when they do because they dont get many breaks with it. I got rid of my total inferno and fury. Too much for too little. Next time I will do more research before I purchase another brunswick bowling ball. It seems as if ball manufacturers just keep adding new balls to the market saying this will do this and that will do that just to get people to buy them.

Got this ball and drilled it 5" from pap and cg 1" right of center of grip. first i tryed it in 38 feet of oil and alot of it, played 8-8 and couldnt hit flush in 1-3 pocket only weak and light shoots. then i went in and drilled a flare increase hole in it. couldnt se the big diffrent. tryed 1000 abralon on it it got a bit sooner but could hit flush on slow balls. on 34 feet of oil playing right of first oil i could get good grip on the surface. good ball for short oil for a cranker like me.<

did not react as violently as i thought it would. pretty dissapointed. i was a cranker and had the ball drilled accordingly. it wasnt a good ball. i should've just stuck with my infinite one and got the widow then. i had it drilled two different ways and both were aggressive layouts. the ball just didnt do it for me. i took a 120 loss on the ball, but at least i got something back out the ball. i would only suggest this ball to someone that plays down the 5 board and thats it. go with something stronger..hell, the scorching inferno is stronger than this ball!!!!

First of all, I was very leery drilling this ball because the pin distance was only 2.25 inches. I typically drill balls for myself with a 3-4.5 pin distance, this includes my 3 other balls in the Inferno line (which I am very happy with). Anyhow, I layed the ball out with the CG 1/2 up and to the right of my CL, and the pin just below and outside slightly of my ring finger. This created a 3.5 x 3.5 layout for me. The static weight was good with no extra hole needed, so I threw it a few times. I could not get this ball to rev up well, and it went waayyyy longer than i expected it to. So back to the drill press. I put an X-Hole to the 4 o'clock of my thumb to put the max weight on my fingers. I also scrubbed all the flare marks except for the inside most 2, using green scotch brite. Back at the lanes, the ball responded better, but still not how I hoped. I have to play a very tight line with this ball to get effective carry. With the layout I used, clearing the heads sh

I Read some bowlers are have trouble reading the Total Inferno Here are some helpful hints ( I Hope). First take an look at the surface and weight block, To determine to drill weak or stronger drilling To shine or leave it sanded, Remember Gription cover stock gives the Total Inferno more response in the mid-lane, And back-ends to control carry down. Increasing mid lane delivers a ball with both high hook potential and high angularity for today's lane conditions. The Total Inferno uses the lowest RG core Brunswick has ever put in a bowling ball. A fast revving, super-ultra-low-RG-core helps the Total Inferno deliver great mid-lane recovery Out of the Box: With its Rough Buff finish, the Total Inferno will match up well on medium-to-oily lane conditions. When shined:. Shiny surface finishes sometimes cause the ball to go too long before breaking. To get your Total Inferno to rolling sooner, dull the surface with a Scotch-brite grey pad, Or similar abrasive

My brother happened to drill me one of these last night, with the pin below my ring finger (Brunswick Drilling 1E). Now, a lot of our customers have the Scorching Inferno, but I would take this ball over the Scorching every time. I mean, it has the right hook and it always finishes at the right time. One thing that I love about this ball, is the consistency that it has at the breakpoint. The angular finish is something else, and the way it demolishes the pins makes you want to buy another one of these. I mean, that is how great this ball is. I think it's the best in the Inferno line, and if you are a Brunswick freak, please get your paws on this ball. It's a great primary ball, or compliment to the new Fury.

Drilled 5 1/2 pin to pap over fingers and 3 1/2 cg to pap with flare increasing hole. Hit like a truck for 40 games and then it just died. Cleaned after every use as I do with all my equipment. Put it in a rejuvinator twice and did a full resurface. Waste of time. If you can afford to buy a brand new bowling ball every month this is the ball to have. If not, go with the shock and awe. Very similar reaction and mine has over 150 games and still rolls 90% as good as it did when it was new<s

This was a great ball new, I loved this ball so much I almost ordered several more, im glad I waited! This ball just does not hook anymore, I tried several tricks to revive it you know the usual stuff but just cannot get it to hook again. Its pretty much useless to me now. I am a die hard Brunswick fan but not sure if I will continue to buy these if they only last 2 months, way to much money for only 2 months of bowling. I sure hope the new Fury comes through as promised. Lucky for me I still have my Ultimate Inferno!

Everything about this ball is amazing coverstock, color, smooth transition of rolling on high oiled lanes i bowled a 668 Set on league lane conditions with this ball the only reason you shouldnt get a strike is because of the person using it i mean come on many pba bowlers are using this ball like rash and some others storm maybe the most successful balls on the tour but if brunswick could get their act together with their mexian plant they could have a winner over the highly popular No Mercy and Toxic. Some more words for this ball simply There is no ball parallel

I think I might have to go online and stock up on about 10 of these balls, this ball is awesome, since Ive purchased the Total Inferno my first night out was kind of shakey due to the fit of the ball but after that my first two nights I shot 732, 729. I had recently upgraded from my Ultimate Inferno since it was not grabbing like it use too but I can play this ball from several angles and can kill the pocket, I can swing it out and the ball will break and hold dead to the pocket.

Ball is a very smooth and consistent rolling ball on a sport shot but is very touchy on a normal house shot. I pinned it high so it would get down the lane and have a strong backend roll. The ball does what I wanted it to do and works well on the sliker conditions. Worst banking ball in my bag, I do not know if I can trust it to let it rip out towards the gutter just yet. Brunswick has dissapointed me with their latest releases. They are focusing on the extremes and have nothing for the in between shots. The total is the least versatile ball I throw. Sean Rash is the only one I have seen throw it that makes it lokk any good at all

I was really pleased with this ball when I first got it... the carry was great, and it turned very hard at the end of the oil. Then it started mellowing out, and now it's pretty lame. Most recently, my ancient Tour Power and cheapo Messenger Pearl outhooked it by several boards. Now that just shouldn't happen. On the plus side, the carry still seems to be good. It's just frustrating to see it skid, skid, skid, and no flip. And I don't throw very hard, and I'm not talking about heavy oil. I'll try bringing it back, but from some of the other reviews, I'm not sure that will help. Very disappointing early death to a great new ball.

I got this ball so I could play more inside. I like to play up second arrow. With the backend of this ball I can play 3rd arrow and still not lose my carrie. I got this ball drilled as strong as I could, max hook, and backend. I have the rest of the inferno line and this ball hits as hard as any of them. If you like the INFERNO line you will not be disapointed with this ball. If you are on more of a heavy oil pattern you might want to get a drilling for max backend. The low RG will get the ball to set up in the mid lane.

This ball is easily the best one I have ever thrown. There are a lot of oil bull dozers on my league and I wanted to get a ball that did not lose hooking power as the oil carried down the lane. My vapor zone would start out great but eventually would quit coming up. Brunswick claimed this was a ball that wasn't affected by carry down and after using it twice I agree. I actually moved inside instead of outside. The breakpoint seems controlled but it hits the pins violently! Excellent angle to the pocet. I have only left 6 or 7 ten pins in 6 games. Very forgiving ball - send it wide and it comes back! When I miss it is because I suck, not because the ball did or didn't do something! This thing makes my old Scorchin Inferno look like a plastic ball!

I actually had a chance to attend a Brunswick Demo Day and 30 minute session with "Parker Bohn" and "Brad Angelo" and it was very informative - I asked Parker what he thought would work best for my game and he prescribed the TOTAL - DAMN was he right !!!! I had the ball drilled on that tuesday evening and took it on to the lanes in league play on the following wednesday and shot 719 (3 game set) and a 951 overall (4 game set). This ball is truly AWESOME - I throw my shot and it knows where to go. I almost feel as if I can toss all my other equipment away because this piece does so well. I still throw my ultimate inferno because it is a little smoother - for those lanes that really gets burned up early .... by the way, PARKER and BRAD - two of the nicest guys I could have met. The sessions started at 8am and I did not see them until 4:30pm and hung around till 7pm and we all sat around and laughed, joked, bowled - HELL - Brad Angelo threw my SHEER HAVOC a few times - How many people can
