Brunswick Intense Inferno Bowling Ball

To expand the Inferno line, Brunswick engineers set out to create a new Inferno that delays its hooking action further down the lane while retaining the recovery and hard arcing back-end reaction the Inferno line is known for. That ball is the Intense Inferno featuring Activator+ coverstock Activator+ is a new version of Activator coverstock technology that is a better match-up for the medium RG core system designed to delay the Intense Inferno's hooking action. More aggressive in the mid-lane and back-ends. Activator+ has a "Stuck to the Lane" quality that improves mid-lane recovery and the ability to handle carry down when compared to any coverstock Brunswick has used on a medium RG ball. The Intense Inferno uses a new medium RG, medium differential Inferno family core that complements the Activator+ coverstock increased traction creating the most angular Inferno to date. Smoothly blended lane conditions will especially showcase the mid-lane tractio

Perfect for a bowler of high to medium rpm. Dont let any crankers tell you that this ball is flippy because the crankers who crank properly love this ball. I have used my intense on both dry and oily conditions and it has worked a charm. The way I have the ball drilled is with the pin above the left finger, giving me that extra bit of length. A must have ball for the bowler who wants to raise there game. By Intense carry I mean, I haven't left a four, five, seven, eight or nine pin. When you leave the tenpin its not the balls fault<scrip

Love the ball, wipe the oil each time and it will serve you well. I clean mine before each session, Obsessive compulsive about it probably but what the heck. Have great confidence in the ball that it will come back and carry when I miss my spots. Wide variety of shots can be made with the ball. Even can pick up that pesky 10 pin with it, when I roll 16 mph and kill the wrist. This is pardon the pun one hot ball. Looking forward to rolling it all year, and can't miss it when it goes down the lane.

This ball rocks!. I like the bright color - didn't think I would, but it grows on you after a few frames. I bought this one because I was struggling to find something that fits in that awkward space between my light oil stuff and the Infernos. My home house is tough for me to match up. I have carry issues in this center if I have to play left of 15, and If I swing any of the Infernos outside the 8 or 9 board area, they use up energy and hit flat. I have that problem with all of the stronger surfaced balls, even with length layouts. Lower RG cores make it even worse. There's just something about these 3-1/2 year old IQ DBA synthetic lanes and medium oil patterns that don't match up that well for my game. This usually forces me to play in the "track area", and this can be a tough area to stay consistent in once play progresses. Once in a while it's dry enough to pull out the Pearl Nail or the Monster Red/Black, and I can score with these playing up the boards. On very VERY rare occasion

well this ball used to be extremely flippy so i decided to sand it down a little to maybe make the hook more of an arc. still yet this ball has not preformed on any lane condition. i really dont know what to do with this ball. i really dont know what else to do with this ball. one moment its taking off through the face and the next it is sliding and skidding like it wants to be my v2 dry. might be because the lanes are fresh. people said this ball preformed better on lanes that have been tampered with and bowled on. im not sure. i guess i will just have to keep on trying to find some what to get this ball to work. i would hate to think i wasted so much money

this ball is great. my ball driller wanted to do something different that said the ball would get a little length. so he put the pin above the middle finger and wow. yea this ball does have length but the backend is ricdicouls. i was tired of my ultimate inferno hooking up too soon causing me to leave 9 pins from losing all of its energy in the early turn, well needless to say this ball is worse off. this ball does get length like the coverstock said it would, but the backend is just too much for someone with hand. i found myself playing deeper with this ball than the ultimate, but i noticed if i moved DEEP inside and slowed up on my speed and let it roll out it would carry. when playing your normal line timing is very much needed. if you hit up on this ball early or hold on to it too long get ready for a split cause the ball will take off threw the face. well i will update once i get about another 20 games to see if the reaction dies down on it a little. overall if you have some hand

great ball, just like the rest of the line of brunswick. does what brunswick says. can't wait to bowl somewhere with lots of oil to be able to use the whole night. On fresh oil it was great as the lanes broke down I felt I need to increase speed and angle to keep from crossing over, after the 2nd game I put it away as I couldn't keep it right anymore. I have mine drilled to go very long as I really like to shoot down and in. but can play the big hook just as well with this ball.the ball is 15lbs with the pin 3 to 4 in out and about 3 oz top weight. pin is just above and left of the ring finger.

The intense inferno looks great and has amazing power and a new coverstock. The new Activator+ coverstock the intense inferno has good mid lane recovery and is also able to hook on carry down similar to the Ultimate Inferno. The Activator+ coverstock also increases the amount of carry even more than the original Activator coverstock, which means less corner pins. The intense inferno works very well on medium to oily lane conditions. The intense inferno also works on sport conditions as well. But no matter what condition the ball is thrown on it continues to crush the pins and raise scores.

Bowler Specs: Lefty Rev Rate: 450-500 Speed: 17-18mph Ball Specs: 16lbs 3" Pin Drilled: 5.5x4, Pin above the Bridge, Cg little left of ring 9/11/04 - New Ball New Review! I've put quite a games on this now and my impressions have changed sinse the original review. So heres a new one... The Intense is the perfect step down to the original Inferno, hook is more compareable to my Frenzy. I have found that that this ball works best on medium/light conditions or mediums with strong backends. The Intense Inferno loves dry heads and "hook spots" down the lane that are causing other balls to hook too early, it completely ignores them and keeps on going. This ball has HUGE backend, almost no midlane hook, which can and probably will be a problem for some people on medium conditions. I scuffed mine to 600 and repolished it, that helped a little with the over/under. The Intense is the ball I wished the Blazing Inferno was. meaning a ball that can handle medium/light condi
