Technology - Hard Arcing Control Brunswick low-load particle balls have traditionally been known for their excellent traction in the oil and controlled hard arcing reactions off the dry. This type of ball reaction has long been a favorite of higher level players looking for a predictable reaction that helps them control the mid-lane and keeps them out of trouble by smoothing out the unpredictable breakpoints sometimes seen with Reactive coverstocks on carry down. Previous Brunswick low-load particle balls have utilized Brunswick’s proprietary particle systems with a PowrKoil 18 coverstock base. The Impulse Zone moves in a new direction by using Brunswick’s exclusive Activator coverstock as a base. The use of Activator coverstock improves on our already popular low-load particle reaction by increasing length, back-end reaction and hook potential which results in increased forgiveness and improved pin carry. The Impulse Zone uses a medium-RG version of the Zone Classic Ultra-Low RG

Brunswick is my go-to company. I can always seem to count on them to come out with a ball I can score with anywhere. This ball is no exception. I originally bought it to replace(although don't need to) my Zone Pro Teal. My first series with this ball was 761, with a 299. I've since shot a 300 and 814 series. I recently bought a second one with a more aggressive layout, to deal with my house's "brickyard" type change in conditions. And shot 150 pins over my average first time out. I'm a huge fan of particle balls, since the consistency in reaction is there all the time, even on spotty conditions, unlike purely reactive covers. And Brunswick puts out the best particle stuff out there. 10 out of 10.

This ball has surprised me in that it is a go to ball on demanding lane conditions. I am a semi-cranker with medium to slower speed. On sport conditions or any type of PBA or USBC qualifiers I have a hard time throwing a skid/flip or go lon type of ball. Too hard to get a consistent breakpoint. This ball polished really works well. It skids enough and flip/rolls enough to be effective. Now I'm saying it's a 5th arrow ball but 3 or 4 with fresh backends and little hold it is a gem!!! It holds and rolls and carries enough to get you the scores you need. You can stuff and jam it as well. It also serves and a reliable spare ball seeing that it doesn't overreact to dry boards and rolls through carry-down enough to trust. Great ball and not too expensive. Great job Brunswick!

90% of the time this is my go to ball, if you plan on using only one ball Defintly check this ball out. I have more forgiveness and pin action with it than I have ever had with any other ball. the only problems I have are when the lanes get really dry or oily, in dry conditions i need to through over the fourth arrow and I loose some forgiveness. in very oily conditions it seems to hit the pocket softly so I have to play over the seconed arrow. Kep in mind the oily and/or dry conditions are the extremes, IE dry crops up only when I'm doing late nighe bowling and the lanes haven't been oiled all day. the oily comes usually after a pro or sub pro compition has been played at the ally. there are exceptions, but we are still talking about 8% total bowling time finding dry, and 2% oily, I use it as a part of a 2 ball arsenal, my urethane purple Hammer is used for extreamly dry lanes, but am looking for a ball for very oily lane conditions.

Switched to B-wick some time ago and have an Original Inferno and an Ultimate Inferno. Bowling in some slicker houses the Ultimate will get squirty when the carrydown is real bad. It will hook and then not hook or overhook. I got the Impulse to deal with the heavier oil and slick houses and carrydown issues that come with them. I track high right on the thumb and fingers. I have the pin under the ring finger and the cg kicked out a bit to the right. X-hole is down below the thumb and to the right. This is setup to rev and read the lane early with a constant drive and arc. I wasn't on my best the first time I bowled with this but I still shot 630 even though I felt I bowled a 430. When in the pocket the carry was good, a few ten pins but that's the bowler not the ball. Outside of 8 is out of bounds in the house I was in and I managed to lose a few out there. The Infernos die out there also so it's a speed issue whether or not it get's back to the hole. When I came out clean, hit my "are

Player Stats: Cranker: 430-450rpms Speed: 18mph at the Pins. Ball Specs: 15lbs, 3" Pin, 3oz TW Drilling, Pin above middle finger, Psa out on VAL. No hole. I drilled the a little weaker so I use it help smooth out the lane when my pearls are giving me some over/under type reaction. Having the same core as the Classic but rapped around the Activator low load particle cover, makes it the perfect compliment to my Zone Classic. The Impulse revs up just as quickly as the Classic, and is a few feet earlier and much smoother on the backend then ZC. I have found the impulse is great to control strong backends where pearls difficult to control. The Impulse, like most Brunswick’s is very versatile and extremely responsive to hand position changes. Of course the Impulse Zone can strike, a lot! And keeps the pins real low. Obviously like all other particle balls the Impulse doesn’t like dry heads or too much dry in the mids. My drill is specific for the condition I wanted to use it

The greatest balls i have ever owned. It hits the pocket good. Hits like a 8 ton truck!! My cousin which i bowl with has a zone classic. That ball and my impulse zone are some of the best balls on the team out of 10 balls. the other team members i bowl with are thinking about getting the warp zone and the time zone. So to wrap this up, this is a very good ball. It comes out of the box with a very good shine enough for a bowler to through a good hook ball. I am definately taking this one to the Pepsi Tournaments with me! !

The Impulse Zone is a very good ball. It performs its best on medium oil lanes. I just started bowling about 6 months ago. i was bowling in the 130s now that i am using the Impulse Zone my average is in the 170s. I went up on my average on about 50 pins. If you play on the second arrow and you let the ball hook into the pocket it will hit very hard. I never thought i had it in me but the Impulse Zone is the way to go. When this ball is done i will buy another one. By the way i bowled my first 200 game with this ball.

This was my first new ball in about ten years. I've been in and out of bowling for a while and average 208. Was using the old Rhino Pearl and often found it fun to laugh at my teammates who bought new $200 balls every year and averaged the same as I did. But 16lbs started to get a little heavy by the last game so I went to a 15. Had this ball drilled up with the ring finger just under the pin (I believe it was like 135 degrees if I'm correct). This ball does not like dry lanes, even polished. Out of the box condition is good for medium to medium-oily lanes but if you throw 15-16mph like I do, it is very hard to control on drier lanes. Someone with more ball speed may get more benefit from it when it dries out. Ball is forgiving if you let her out too far outside but it didn't seem to explode through the pocket like I expected. But the carry is very good. I know it sounds strange. If you have the money to move up, get the Intense Inferno. It is similar to this ball but hits
