In all, I say this is a wonderful ball. Im mad brunswick never re-released it, as it was a far superior ball to the later danger zone IMO. My driller agrees, it was much better than DZ. Its as if the sapphire zone was a "stop-gap" between the original zones and the much hyped danger zone. It never got the attention that the original amber and maroon got, or the DZ. But it was way better than both of them! It reved much better, hit harder, and the coverstock didnt easily chip/crack like the DZ. I will say the danger was a great ball, but I dont think it holds a candle to the sapphire.

I used to have one but it was 14 lbs and i traded it to a guy trying to start bowling left handed for an EMB pearl. Anyway, if anybody knows a website to get one from let me know. Somebody told me where to find some but i forgot the website addy. Wonder why it says i have to make more words. This is making me mad. The ball rules and everyone should have one. I tried conning a guy that has it at my bowling alley to give it to me for a V2 and a Savage pearl but no dice!

THIS BALL IS THE $H!T, IT IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE DANGER ZONE. YOU CAN MISS YOUR MARK AND IT WILL STILL COME BACK TO THE POCKET.I GOT ONE OFF OF EBAY AND GOT IT DRILLED UP STACK LEVERAGE AND THE FIRST TIME I ROLLED IT, I STRUCK. I ROLLED A 214, 210, 205 IN A TOURNAMENT LAST WEEK WITH IT, IT WAS AWESOME. NO BALL I CAN FIND TODAY COULD COMPETE WITH THIS BALL AS FAR AS I CAN SEE. IT BASICALLY HAS THE SAME CORE AS THE DANGER ZONE BUT IT HAS A POWERCOIL 17 COVERSTOCK, THAT DON'T MEAN NOTHIN, EVEN THOUGH POWERCOIL 17 IS OLD, THIS BALL IS STILL VERY AGRESSIVE, I SHOOT 10, 10 BACKEND, IT REALLY MOVES, I RECOMMEND THID TO EVERYONE IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.

this is the best ball i've ever used. i can use it on all oil patterns, all wood types, anywhere i go. this is the most forgiving ball i've ever used, and it is the best ball i have in my arsenal. i have used all types of balls, from a ti messenger- to an arc. and have found this ball to be the best of the best of the "controll" balls of the 90's. of all the equiptment in the world, i wish i could find a place to buy the overseas parker bohn balls. thanks, brian

This is still my favorite ball of all time. I have put over 10,000 games on mine and it still hits GREAT! The coverstock has only been resurfaced once, showing the great staying power of the powerkoil series. The Graphite core was such a brilliant stroke of genius at that time. Even with other companies using ceramics and such, nothing came close to the pure power that this ball hit with. I only with that Brunswick would bring back this ball with the pearlized PowerKoil 18 coverstock. That could be a deadly combination (If I could sind this ball NIB, I'd probably buy it, drill it up long and take my combat out of my bag)

This all is the oldest ball in my arsenal, however, it doesn't tkae a backseat to any of the newer technology. This ball is definately "Old Faithful" for me. I have a 15lb. ball with a 3-4 pin and a leverage drill with 7/8 ounce of side weight. This ball is always the first ball out of the bags for me as it loves oil. Over the last 3-4 months, this ball has been my all night throughout all of the local leagues 4 nights a week. At tournaments, this ball is used first and often if the lanes are stripped and oiled between sets. If not, obviously, I have to go to another piece of equipment like my Hammer Pearl 3-D or Zone HPD. However, the Sapphire hits like a truck when it turns the corner and carries very well. If I find myself leaving too many 10 pins, I just back up on the approach 6-8 inches and "SMASH" no more 10 pin, just a ten pin count if there's no operator error. I definately recommend this ball for any bowler interested, however, they're a rarity. I've had numerous offers to se

This was my very first resin ball. I got it when I was about 11 or 12 years old. I remember when I first threw this ball and it just amazed me. This ball was drilled at 1 oclock which gave the ball all the backend you needed. This ball hit very hard, even though it was only 12 pounds it hit harder then any other 12 pound ball I have ever thrown at the time. This ball has almost the most backend in a ball I have ever thrown.I wish I had that ball in a 16 right now. If you want a ball that has backend I suggest you better find this ball very quickly because theswe balls are very hard to find.Have a great day and happy hannukah everyone :P just kidding, happy holidays:)
