Very easy to read, Very Strong midlane and very consistent at the break point. Versatile. I notice this ball to roll stronger on the wood lane with not much oil. I see dffferent kinda roll on different house. But they all have been very good to me. Got this one redrilled with neutral drilling 2 weeks ago (pin above fingers). I am bowling 4 leagues each week. With this ball, I have been averaging 6-8 strikes per game. I haven't missed the pocket yet. Love the drilling and love the ball. I've been in a slump for so long. My average dropped by over 20-30 pins to now 160. but with this ball. I am starting to average over 200 now, since I bowl with this ball, I am starting to have 220 - 249 in every set now. Huge improvement

The fuze igniter, in my opinion, was the old version of the blazing inferno. The difference is that the blazing inferno hooks more and is more angular. I agree on the hook potential, but it is more angular than the blazing. The top bowler in my league uses this and he dominates when the lanes are broken down. I see him throw the tightest hook and widest hook with it. But, in oil, it just has too much length. So if you want a ball like the blazing or intense inferno that does not start as early, then I recommend the classic, Fuze Igniter.<

It has been a while since I have done a review on a bowling ball, but the Fuze Igniter deserves it. First of all I bought the ball so I really didn't know what to expect. I first threw the ball and thought it sucked I then move a little further to the right and KABOOM that was all she wrote. This ball goes long and makes a turns and it hits so hard. This is a very underrated ball, but if you can get one please do, you will not be disappointed. You can find some on E-bay or just check on www.ballreviews.com

The very fact that Brunswick came out with this ball is extremely sad because they are a great company with a lot of great lines of bowling balls. The ball is just something that does not move, it dies extremely quick and is very shot touchy. I could not find a pattern to play this ball on. It does hit very hard. A guy on my team loves this ball, but i told him that it was an absolute piece of crap, and now nobody in my league has this piece of garbage. The Fuze line is a great one, and this is just a complete insult to any ball that Brunswick ever made.

This ball goes long and strong. If you have a great deal of revs and speed, you are in business. Any other combination and you might want to think again. If you can play the three and throw speed but not much revs, this is a good ball. If you play a gutter shot, I hope you were aiming for the ten pin. If you are older, and throw the ball slow, this is a great ball- it needs the combination of two things - speed and revs - or little speed and a little revs. This ball can work for you.

Just got this drilled. First 2.5 games I was just playing around throwing from all different spots to all different marks just to get a feel for how the ball would react. Once I got serious and found my mark the pins didn't stand a chance. I was throwing from just right of center towards between the 2nd and 3rd arrow (anywhere in between those arrows), and it hit the pocket like a TRUCK. I've never thrown a ball that hit this hard. The sound of the ball hitting the pocket was turning heads and I don't throw even that hard. I left 1 10 pin and that was completely my fault. I didn't throw the ball out enough, but it just slid in the oil and still hit the pocket. Leaving 7 and 10 pins are a thing of the past. After bowling a few hundred games, this ball still hits just as hard as it did when new. I throw typically about 16 MPH, throwing from between the 10 and 15 board (depending on the lane conditions), towards the 2nd arrow. Wood lanes, synthetic lanes, it matters littl

this can say is one of the best brunswick ball ever have. i will consider buying another one after my this igniter have dead. although i have problem with the first ball striking. but when i used this ball it have increase my average from 90+ to 130+. it is a great improvement. as i have been in bowling for less than 4 months. my ball weight is 13 light. i would want to buy a new igniter as 14 flat. all i can say is this is a great ball for me and a great ball for many of my friends. i would recommend this ball to everyone who wants a ball for medium oil lane and is on synthetic lane

I got this ball with the pin out 3" and I had my pro shop guy drill it to go long and snap. Threw it during a couple games of practice on a freshly oiled house shot and this ball kicked ass!! No problems. Carried and was as forgiving as it could be. However, I decided to try this out on my sport shot league and boy was that a mistake! If you are NOT DEAD-ON-BALLS ACCURATE put this thing away!!! It was way too skid/snappy! My first two shots missed right by one board and I washed out once and left 2-8-10 my next. If you are bowling on sport shot w/ this ball don't drill it to go long (as its meant to be) unless you are accurate. Plus, this hooks so much it doesn't like the dry backends. So, great house ball, but I'd steer clear of this on sport shot. Hope this helps...

this is a very good ball for medium dry lanes.first time i throw it with a lot of speed it was nearly a spare ball. then i go outside and played it parallel the fist arrow and it goes 40 feet down the lane and kicks back at the end of the lane with an unbelivable turn. if you got too fast you will get a wash out. with a lttle speed it will overreaking hard and is very difficult to cantrol. i played a 1476 two weeks ago. my avarage is 180. must i say more ? sometimes it is unbelivable

A good ball for house conditions. Works best it seems on x-mas tree pattern. Not so good for sport conditions unless your really accurate. The entry angle can be problematic when the lane starts to break down because the ball snaps so hard. I had it drilled with the pin above the fingers about 1 inch above the ring finger and a weight hole 5 inches from the top weight that is 1 and 1/2 inches below my ring finger. This made the ball turn the corner very well. Also makes it over react when the lanes breakdown. A label drilling might be easier to control and more predictable.

Nice Ball And The Perfect Ball For What I Bought It For. Long And Strong On Dry Lanes. This Ball Is Perfect For The Bowler Who Puts A Lot Of Hand In The Ball And Wants It To Come Back On Dry Backends. I Also Bowl On Lanes With Slick Carrydown So I Will Definately Have To Have Something Other Than This Ball For That Shot But For Oiled Heads And Stripped Backends This Ball Rules. When I First Got This Ball, I Practiced On Lanes That Had Open Bowling And I Thought That I Had Made A Mistake Getting It. But In League Play......The Coverstocks Along With The Blocks On The Brunswick Equipment Is Far Superior To Anything Else. Way To Go Brunswick! Again!

I purchased this ball under the impression that it was gonna light some fire right where my track was. Im not sure where the "agressive" part of the ball went but they must have left it out of my ball. Maybe if you got the ball drilled with the pin over the fingers for some more length it might build up a little better, but overall i just dont think this ball has near the drive it should have for a "high-end" ball. If i was wanting a regular pearl coverstock reactive ball i would have bought a Track Hex, but the Igniter just didnt have the backend it claims. Even on days when i was slamming the pocket everytime, it still hits so flat that i left 10 and 7 pins repeatedly. Overall, id just say to avoid this ball, but i can see how one can be lured by it just like i was.

I bought the ball from a friend. Since we both have the same finger span, there was no need of having it redrilled. I don't know how it was drilled other that finger-tip and there is a balance hole on the side of it. Hats off to Brunswick. In two weeks time my average has went up 10 pins and I threw my first 700 with it. It is almost on the verge of OPL. (Old People Luck, 60 or older) No matter where I hit I am almost guaranteed a strike. It is absolutely crazy. I recommend this ball to anyone that loves the game. =:)

Likes: Forgiving, If you miss your mark, you are still able to get an easy spare ok ball for newbies or starters Wheres the truck? This ball isnt even a geo. horrible back end, couldnt hook for anything. Worst ball ive thrown. DONT BUY THIS BALL!!! so few strikes i think i have ever thrown in a game I dont know if it was the way the ball was drilled or what. But all i know is that im sure glad that this is not my ball because i would be hitting myself for puchasing such an awful ball. IHeartHammer

I got this drilled for length and I still can't get through the heads on medium-medium dry conditions. I am a full roller and I put a decent amount of revolutions on the ball. The coverstock is too reactive because the ball just instantly grabs. I tried this ball in warm-ups when there was the most oil on the lanes. I couldn't imagine trying this after one or two games. I've got a 3 year-old track Avenger that slides out much more nicely than this ball and has a more controlled breakpoint. I've got a 197 average.

This is a great ball. If you like Brunswick's Fuze series, this is not a let down at all. This is ball does not hit like a marshmallow leaving corner pins, and 4 pins, like an ebonite ball I know of *coughs ebonite warrior coughs* This ball is predictable, probably the most predictable ball on the market. The igniter is not a beginners ball, a columbia scout reactive is a beginners ball, so maybe whoever said this ball is a dud needs to go back to the beginning. This ball is more consistent than the detonator, so when you throw the igniter you know where it's gonna go. And the pearlized coverstock makes it easy to shoot on dryer lane conditions. While a lot of people are trying to use any other ball on dry lanes, having it hook too much, you can play nice and tight and this ball holds it's line and hits! Here's the order of the fuze series that I'll use, starting with slicker conditions to when the shot opens up: Fuze Eliminator, Raging Red, then the Igniter(for it's pearli

The Fuze Igniter is probobally the best brunswick product i have used. and i have owned several of there products,(Danger Zone,Speed Demon,Impact,Contact, proactive quantum, zone pro blue, attitude 3,Igniter) this by far outdoes any reaction i have seen from a Brunswick product. This ball will let u send it out and come back chargin. Also if drilled long and strong the Fuze igniter tends to hold in the middle of the lane with decent oil in the middle. I have been told by every1 that the Igniter doesnt work in oil but i found out if u crank it up and slow the speed u should be able to play inside and outside giving yourself alot of room on the lane

My wife actually purchased this ball last week. She is a powerful lefthander with a quick thumb release and medium revs, (book avg 216) but at age 52 no longer had the ball speed for today's drier lane conditions. She purchased this ball in a 14 pound version to test a lighter weight. What a great ball! Not only did her speed go up, but it added power to her game...her last three league sets were 674, 716 and 696. She is absolutely delighted with this ball because it gives her the length down the lane and finishes with reliability and crushing impact. I expect her to add to her honor score list within the month using this equipment.<scri

Great carry, Hits like a freight train, Very predictable ball, Very Forgiving, Creats pin action like I have never seen before... I have been using Brunswick balls for the last 15 years and this is without question the best ball I have ever thrown. I always used Brunswick's Teal Rhino till I couldn't find them any more so I moved to the Igniter. The Igniter is everything the Rhino was plus much, much more. I have never seen a ball that rips through pins the way this ball does. The amount of pin action that this ball generates is phenomenal. I have no idea what that did to make the ball react the way it does but it sure got my attention and my vote as the best new ball on the market today. Great Job Brunswick!

16 pounds Top Weight: 4.0oz Pin out: 3-4 inches Factory Surface First off, I am a power stroker with high revs and medium ball speed and about a 15 degree axis tilt. I have mine drilled up about 6 inches from my PAP. This put the pin over my middle finger, and the cg being in the center of my grip. This ball does exactly what Brunswick says it does. I bowled on single sheet synthetics oiled 38 feet top hat buffed out to 40 feet, this weekend. The Igniter rolled very smooth in the heads and midlanes, then once it hit the dry it went that little extra more, hit the break point and made a sharp snap left and just blew the pins away. I was very pleased that I could play up the boards for most of the day, making only simple adjustments with my target. I was also pleased with the carry and explosiveness of the ball. Pins just danced and flew all over the deck. The Igniter does an excellent job complimenting my Red Fuze. When I run out of adjustments or hand positions with m
