Well As you all can tell I love this ball and if you have one feel free to e-mail me I would love to try and get one from someone.I think everyone that bowls should try to get back to the roots that they started from and reform themselves. I think a person can grow in their game by taking a step back sometimes with a old ball or a old house they might have started in.Please e-mail me at hunsinger13@hotmail.com if you have any idea on how to get one of these balls. It would make my day. I shoot with a storm pbt eraser & a columbis beastmaster but this ball would fall right into place with my game I think. Everyone good luck and good bowling God Bless you all keep on strikin'

Given the glowing reviews posted here, it appears that my XS was the victim of poor drilling or something. I got it as a birthday present from my girlfriend, had it drilled fingerweight to go long and hook late and gave it away within three months after throwing it every day trying to figure it out! This ball would not hook for me, no matter if it was sanded or polished. When I did manage to get it in the pocket, it crushed, but those moments were few and far between. I wound up trying it out as a dry lane ball for a while, but my Red Turbo beat it hands down. For the price, it wasn't worth it, so I just gave it away to a guy who bowled with no thumb. Again, I don't know what happened here, but this ball ranks as the single worst piece of equipment I've ever used.

The XS was my first real ball. I learned alot because of this ball. I have had great games and bad games because of this ball. If you own this ball I would advise you to refinish it. the ball loves to hook. If used right this ball can be on of the best, but only once in a blue moon can you really use it. I love the look of the XS. It may not me bright orange, but it stands out. it is one of those balls that everyone will notice. I'm also all about being different and as you may know there arn't many white balls out there.

Couldn't give it a 10 because it's radical flip motion can get away from you. Not forgiving of slow shots. However, if anyone has one that is 15 or even 14 pound that is not completely worn out, I'd like to talk to you about maybe taking it off your hands. I've already got a decent 16 pound. This ball gives me something I haven't seen before or since. Flips up something crazy, and drives through the rack. When rolled correctly, drives straight through and they don't have a chance. Carries light hits very well. Drives through past the 9 occasionally. I know, it's been out for almost 10 years, but I love it. I don't give a toss about it being off white. Dirrrrty White Ball!

This is an update to my post from almost a year ago. Tonight I shot 711 with this piece. My first EVER 700 set. You simply have to have the right conditions to properly use this ball. Crofton AMF has a SPORT SHOT type of condition and for a lefty (such as myself) it is hard to get things going in there because everything is SERIOUSLY skidding by. I shot 226, 252, 233 for a total of 711. I dedicate my achievements to the late Ralph Smith (my father) and my older brother Norman Smith who has always told me to "keep hitting it and it will happen" .... the FIRST of many !!! I LOVE YOU DAD .... BIG BRO - I'M COMING ....

Another unique bowling ball. This ball had a very nice roll and great backend reation to it. The color is what brought this fine ball it's downfall. If this ball was thrown on dry lanes, it would come back looking like it just went outside and played in the mud. Much cleaning was done in order to keep this ball looking somewhat decent. I would usually take the ball to the pro shop to get a bath. The XS hooked way too much on dry lanes. It needed some oil to have a smooth curve into the pocket. I liked the way it kept the pins low and scattered them for great pin action. Overall this ball was great despite the dirty problem.

it hooks way to much when dry. u have to through it very hard to get it right when dry.I think i am going to get rid of this sanded crap because the ball hooks way to much.I am going to have it polished of some sort to take some hook away.I would not prefere this ball for a house bowler because it just plane out hooks! Before i got this ball i was using a columbia 300 called the beast. it was a 16 lb ball and it had a little bit of hook left in the reactive part of the ball.so maybe thats why i can not control the amf reactive resin bone sanded hooking machine!

Currently I'm using a few older pieces (RAGE, KO Punch, Speed Zone). I found this ball DIRT CHEAP on the internet and have nothing but good things to say about it. Others say differently (until I kick their butts with it) then they begin to see the light (or might I say WHITE). I call this ball THE ASPIRIN. People that I bowl against REALLY hate to see me pull this thing out of the bag. Even the pro shop guys GRIMMACE when they hear what I'm using .... but then they see me shot with it and ..... D-D-A-A-N-N-G-G !!! It REALLY does do what they say.

This ball can be pretty much wrapped up in one word. AWESOME. The reaction of this ball is uncanny. First game with it freshly drilled right out of the box on scorched lanes, 258. Ended the night with a 667 series. Not too shabby right out of the box. But, a few days later league lanes conditions medium-heavy, set of 226, 268, 206. 700 series even. The last game could've been better but I was getting tired, I was just trying to get enough for the 700 and I did. :) The balls reaction all night was down and BOOM pocket everytime. I had acouple slightly high shots but it was forgiving and gave me the X anyway. It was a pretty good night, I was throwing pretty nicely but, I give alot of credit to this ball as well. I got the ball drilled the same as the rest of my arsenal go long with an agressive flip. It did just that all night long. If you can adjust depending on how you get this ball drilled it can be used for pretty much any condition. Some said it is a bit shakey on dry conditions, b

I would recomend this ball for a power bowler. So far, I am extremely satisfied. However, only time will tell. I am a power bowler myself, and I stood almost all the way over to the left and threw it at the gutter, and the ball hooked right into the pocket. I pin action of this ball is the absolute bomb. I also have a Brunswick Monster (Purple), and in my opinion, this ball hooks much more than my monster. I plan on using "The Bone" for my opening shot, and depending on what I leave, "The Monster" for the spare shot. And as always, anything is subject to change, especially on the ever-changing lane conditions that we bowl on. I am carrying a 180 average right now, and I hope to have my average up to a 195 by the end of ther year.

The first time i used this ball, i went up there, guessed where my mark would be, and hooked it right into the pocket for a strike. I don't own the ball, but i've used it and wish i could use it again. XS is one of the best balls i've ever used. I've seen this come out to the ten pin and back in for a strike already, so, if u find an XS, buy it. It's one of AMF's oldest balls, but buy it. This ball is really reactive on bowling lanes.

I picked one of these up on ebay because it was dirt cheap. On a heavy oil shot this ball was very good for me if the backends were clean. I can play an outside line with it and hit the pocket every time. On this condition it carries very well. Dry heads put it away because the breakpoint is erratic and the carry stinks. This is the reaction even if you polish it. If you have much carrydown you will get the same poor reaction and carry. This ball was a one trick pony for me. NOTE: This ball came with a 5 inch pin. It was drilled lable leverage with an ounce of thumb weight. This required no weight hole and left the pin an inch and a half over my ring finger.

Good older ball if you need one that will move. I don't put allot of turns on the ball but with the Xs you don't have to. Most crankers don't seem to like it though. But for us strokers I think it is one of the best older ball that you can ball. Very hard to keep clean being white though. If you polish it it will add to it's control. But overall I would by another one if I could find one. Carry down really doesn't effect it that much. Great on synthetic lanes to.
