I fell in love with my AMF Hei$t so this ball doesn't see the action it deserves. All it does is score when I have to battle the lanes. On a fresh shot, it's the ball to go to if you want / need to overpower the lanes. It doesn't hook as much as the Heist but it is more controllable with an early arc. I have mine drilled 3"/2" from PAP for early roll and tame backend and this ball does it all. I can play rocket to the pocket outside five or move 20/10 when the backs are hooking too much on a THS. When I have head oil, I can even play 20/5 with a hard arc to the pocket but I like the Heist better in that situation. The Lock will cut through some oil if need be as long as you don't swing it but its not a heavy oil ball. This ball and the Heist make a good 1, 2 punch and if you need an oil ball, I here great things about the Radar Alert for heavy and the new AMF Code for just about any shot. I haven't had the pleasure of owning those yet but may bag them for the 08-09 season. AM

I actually play nine to about six or seven. Got the ball NIB on ebay when I wasn't happy with the performance of my Secret Agent, which just doesn't have the kind of hook that's advertised. I drilled the short pin under the ring finger and after a disappointing debut on my more-heavily oiled league shot (for the down-and-in guy like me), took the box finish down to 600 on the advice of my pro shop. This ball has been rock steady for me since. I've averaged over 200 with it for months now and was a 185-190 bowler with the Agent. It also gives me explosive games and strike strings that were lacking with the agent. Don't have to worry about throwing this ball through the break point when my speed gets up over 18 mph. But 17 mph is the sweet spot, for sure.

I drilled this ball to be my "in between" ball to fit above my Kick Zone and below my Triumph one7 and Awesome finish. Unfortunately, this thing hooks more than anything in my bags. Now I have to reshuffle my lineup and probably dump my Finish. The power this ball possesses is amazing! I had rivals asking about it all night long - Light, flush, or high crush, this ball just punishes the pins. Back to back 7 pins cost me 300 in the 2nd game. I really had to amp up my speed and move right to get the ball down the lane on med oil - it wants to hook at the arrows! Threw it on heavier modified sport shot and it still showed its powerful finish with a bit more control. Started out 10 to 5 and ended the night 20 to 10. If you can't get this ball to turn, its YOU not the ball!

I have owned one other AMF that was a Angle and it put this one to shame as far as power. If you want this thing to be good; drill it aggressive and crank it. Just don't expect wonders from this ball. You won't get it. I know some people think this ball is great, but it obviously doesn't work for everybody and I have been bowling for 50 years so I should have some idea on how to bowl. If I was you I would quit looking at AMF product and look at Storm and get a real product. They are quite simply the best balls ever made.

The Radar Lock is one those balls that does not get enough credit!! This ball really performs on medium to oily lane conditions. I had a chance to drill one for a local tournament. I needed a ball that would rev and roll up hard. I didn't need a lot of skid or snap. I had a 3" pin and 2.5 top to work with. Drilled it goofy for my game and it worked to perferction! Almost a 12:00 pin down, cg real close to thumb and big hole in the lower quadrant. Took a dead 2000 Abralon pad to it. This ball really revs up and hard arc's to the pocket! Great carry on ligh mixers and heavy pocket hits! Averaged 225 for 10 games in a house that does not produce high scores AND won the tourney! This is one of those balls that gets the job done, period. Reminds me of the Radar but with more roll and more overall hook. This is a must ball to blend out a tough condition! Amf has the most under rated balls in the industry. This ball is a lot like the Columbia messenger's. but has the power of the Brunswick's inferno's. Power and control what more could you want. This ball will improve your average regardless of what line you play. This is not a ball that will hook out of the house, but it is a ball that you'll score the highest in the house. if your looking for a ball that will go long and then hit the pocket hard this is the ball for you. This ball is amazing that cranker can benefit from. It does everything in its power not to drop in the gutter. This ball you can trust to hold on at the half board.

One of the best balls ever made for the money!!!! AMF is so underrated but once this ball gets out there it wil be in everyone's bag. I ilke the ONE line but it has some serious competition with the RADAR line. I figured since this ball is rated so high regaurding angularity that it would make its break and simply roll up really well, but it surprised me in that it continued a REALLY HARD ARC all the way into and through the pocket. OH AND IT LOOKS AWESOME GOING DOWN THE LANE!!! Look out for this ball and those throwing it.. it's destructive

For those who know me personally they know I think the Vapor Zone is one of the better balls on the market. It's so versitile, reads the mid-lane so good and just hits like a truck when it gets there. As for the Radar Lock it was explained to me by the AMF Staffer (yes they exist!) that it is a lot like the Vapor but it keeps the pins lower. Well I couldn't wait to see this and actually got pretty excited about seeing what this latest offering from AMF could do since this was the aggressive version of the Radar (the last ball credited with the last legitimate 900 series). Well this ball is alot like the Vapor Zone, just not as good. It does read the mid-lane very well and it does keep the pins lower than the Vapor Zone. But unlike the Vapor Zone this ball burns up real fast at the first sight of friction in the mid-lane. Also with the highly polished cover there isn't that much more you can do to get this ball to hold it's energy longer except for Finesse-it. It does get a bi
