This ball is absolutely fantastic and a steal for the price point. In the lower end spectrum of performance the Electrify performs like a weaker medium end type of ball. I was able to play on top of the friction and had plenty of margin. The ball had significant hitting power from those angles where I had my angles in front of me. When you're looking to stay further right for righties or left for lefties this will be a great option to go to.

Cover: Reactor Pearl Reactive Core: Circuit RG: 2.51 RG. Diff.: 0.030 Finish: Reacta Gloss Fragrance: Ambrosia Storm’s new Electrify B-S-Y is a Symmetrical Pearl piece that is good for Light Oil Patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Fragrance: Ambrosia. Drilled this piece with the Pin up between the Fingers and the CG kicked out 1”. Out of Box ball motion was clean through the front with a smooth motion on the backend. I compared this to the Storm Electrify Pearl it was maybe 0-1 stronger on the left-over house pattern I threw it on. This looks like it will be a good piece for the shorter patterns on tour. Layout: 4.5 x 3 x 3 Surface: Light 2000 abralon The Electrify BSY is a new color Electrify Pearl for 2023. This ball brings back the Circuit Core and the Reactor Pearl coverstock finished with Reacta Gloss. Very similarly to the Electrify GO, this Electrify BSY is not as shiny out of box with the Reacta Gloss from the factory. This helps the ball read the oil a little sooner and be more continuous as opposed to as angular. I was able to test this ball on my typical house pattern. What I found was a cleaner and pretty continuous shape down lane. Compared to the GO, I found a little smoother motion overall. It didnt give me a crazy angular backend motion that was more in the GO. This BSY to me felt more of a benchmark lower end symmetrical ball. The BSY read the midlane a little stronger overall compared to the more recent Electrify balls and continued better as if it had higher differential in the core. I can see myself using this on the fresh for a dry house pattern or as a 2nd ball out of the bag when there is a little more oil. For more challenging patterns, this should control the lane the best when the pattern is medium to lighter oil or shorter oil conditions. Adam Chase Storm Staff

The B-S-Y (Black/Silver/Yellow) again features the Reactor cover and Circuit core. Like many bowlers I feel the color can effect the characteristic of the balls and the B-S-Y to my eyes fit itself between the earlier Electrify releases and the G-O. I tested the Electrify on the house pattern in my home center. The heat of summer always brings drier lane conditions in my area. The fronts always hook where I bowl but the back part of the lane is almost unrecognizable between summer and winter and getting the ball to not only get through the front but to then control the back-end is key to scoring consistently. The B-S-Y sees just a bit more of the mid-lane than the previous pearl releases in the Hot line, which allows the ball to shape without over-reacting down-lane. I feel this ball will also look good on higher friction surfaces with fresh oil as it does clear the fronts well but it's really good at smoothing out over/under. The Electrify line is definitely a staple at outperforming their price point so the B-S-Y is a great choice for new bowlers who want to see some performance without having to drop the money to invest in a HP ball right off the bat and it stays useful as you build an arsenal up from it.
