Storm Electrify BSY Reactor Pearl Cover Circuit Core The Storm Electrify BSY adds to the already very popular Electrify line. The BSY skids through the heads with ease saving energy to make a quick turn once is gets to the dry. I personally will keep this as a 3000-4000 sanded cover, to help tame the skid/flip that is created with some of patterns I see. Easily can find a spot in a bowler's house shot league bag or be very useful for your dry tournament conditions. I would slot the Electrify Pearl as a step stronger than my Rot Grip Hustle MM and a step down from my Roto Grip Duo.

  • My Favorite Electrify Yet!

The new Electrify BSY is my favorite Electrify to date! I drilled it up the same time I drilled a Duo and to say I loved what I saw out of it would be an understatement. Even though it has the Reactor coverstock which is also featured on Tropical Surge the Electrify BSY is far from a Tropical. I actually have it as a perfect step down from my Duo. It is very similar in the way it wants to motion. It will give you easy length on medium to light oil patterns but it has no problem turning the corner when it needs too. I have used mine a ton in a local center of mine that has an immense amount of early friction in the first five feet of the lane so most balls have trouble getting through the pins but because the BSY gets through that spot so cleanly it saves all of its energy for the pins and carries like none other! If you want the same shape as a Duo but with a little less strength then look no further than the Electrify BSY!

Being a fan of the Electrify series, I couldn’t wait to drill this one up! I’ve found that with the B/S/Y I have the ability to move further right and still get the ball to the pocket with minimal effort on dryer conditions. I find that this ball gives me a very similar reaction to the original Electrify Pearl so if you enjoyed the Pearl, you definitely want to add this to your bag.

I drilled up my ELECTRIFY B/S/Y with a standard drilling of 4 x 4 x 2. This is my favorite drilling for balls with lower differentials to get them to flare up a little more and not go too straight at the break point. I tried box surface then hit it with a 2000 abralon pad to get the gloss off. The ELECTRIFY B/S/Y is one of those balls that was definitely better when the lanes were hooking quite a bit for me. I put it up against some of my newer pieces like the DUO, ZEN GOLD, and DARK CODE to get a feel even though these were apples to oranges. Against the DUO, it wasn't a bad compliment especially when the 2000 was applied. It made them play off one another a little better than the ZEN GOLD or DARK CODE. Both of those were too angular compared to the ELECTRIFY B/S/Y and were not the same motion. I would say the ELECTRIFY B/S/Y would be a good option if you have a high friction environment like older wood or really worn panels on synthetics and need something to get down the lane and make a smoother move to the pocket.

The Reactor Pearl Cover and the Circuit Core are a good combo for Higher rev rates, the burn or even the casual league bowler looking to get their hands on a good bowling ball at a lesser cost. It’s clean like the typical Pearl for me but more arching in the backend than I expected. Easy to control but still enough ball to get my feet a little left when they dry up and I need to open up the lane a little when other balls are just too much!

The latest Electrify comes in an eye-catching color combination of black, silver, and yellow reactor pearl coverstock. This ball features the same medium RG low diff Circuit core. This ball may be considered entry level for the price point, but it is certainly not for performance. Using my usual 5x4x2 drilling which puts the pin above the bridge, this ball allows me to play further right on the typical house pattern. The BSY provides good length in the dry part of the lane and a very strong quick move at the breakpoint. This motion provides excellent pin action. When compared to the Electrify solid, the BSY is about 4-5 feet later with a much more angular motion. At this price point, you can’t go wrong with this ball on your typical house patterns and later in tournaments.

The Storm Electrify B-S-Y has a low RG value of 2.51 a low differential of 0.030. Storm came out with a new Electrify with the colors of Black / Silver / Yellow with the Circuit Core and Reactor Pearl Coverstock. The Reactor Pearl coverstock is which has been around for decades as seen in the Fired Up and Tropical Series is finished with Reacta Gloss providing a slightly stronger hook in the backend than the Electrify Hybrid the Circuit symmetric core boasts the lowest RG seen in Storm's Hot Line, meaning more versatility and performance. Paired with the Electrify Hybrid, these two bowling balls will make a great 1-2 punch in any arsenal. In comparison to the IQ Tour Ruby, the BSY will be cleaner through the front and smoother on the backend. One of the latest additions to the Hot Line at Storm is the Electrify BSY. After drilling it and having success on different surfaces and patterns, this Electrify is a big hit. With an RG of 2.51 and differential of .030, this ball is designed to fly through the front part of the lane, store energy, then change direction in a controlled motion before entering the pocket. I drilled the Electrify with the pin above my ring and CG kicked to the right of my center line. The numbers come out to 4.5 x 4 x 2. I’ve had the most success with this ball when my Gem and DNA start to get lazy or I need a ball to store more energy down lane. Also, on older surfaces when I need a ball to get through the front easily, this Electrify is a perfect ball to go to. I’d recommend drilling it on the stronger side to make sure it flares enough to hook as well. If you need a ball that compliments the high performance balls and looks great when the lanes hook, you should drill the Electrify BSY. #StormNation

VLS Layout 5 ½ x 4 x 4. This layout was used for a specific purpose. I wanted a ball with a smaller core drilled to get down the lane with minimum flare potential. Today’s conditions require balls that don’t hook very much and sometimes balls with low core numbers tend to hook a lot down lane. Beyond performance I love the colors of the ball, and price point. Even though this ball is at an Entry Level price point it still has a ton of hook-on medium to dry lanes. The core in the BSY is like that of a Hustle, IQ tour or Hyped so if you benefit from smaller cores and medium hook performance this is going to be the ball for you.

The Electrify BSY is no exception to that. It’s the same core and it’s the Reactor Pearl cover which is the same as the Electrify GO. SOOOO in theory this one should roll the same, but I have the BSY a little heavier rolling than the GO. It’s not a ton, but I do see it pick up and jerk stop a little quicker. The BSY is weaker than the IQ Ruby and stronger than the Surges, so if that’s the slot you’re looking for, look no further!

The Electrify B/S/Y features the same low differential and medium RG circuit core found in all the previous versions and is wrapped in reactor pearl. This combo with a fresh new color scheme provides a smoother and controllable option on lighter to medium volume conditions. The B/S/Y for me is going to be a great option to play off of my !Q Tour Ruby when I need something similar strength wise but a slightly cleaner and faster shape. This might be the strongest Electrify to date! Storm introducing the new Electrify BSY. Same core as seen in all the electrify’s, but with the REACTOR Pearl coverstock. I am seeing a lot of similarities to an IQ Emerald when I have thrown this ball. With the previous gold Electrify, it was very clean and smooth and I could only throw it on medium to light volume patterns on the burn. This new BSY is a lot stronger and much more off the spot. Very underrated piece and if you’re looking for something to replace something like an IQ Emerald, go get this ball at your local Storm VIP Pro shop.

The Electrify BSY is an updated version of the Electrify GO, which makes it a great option for those looking for a strong-arcing backend reaction on medium oil conditions. The BSY has enough midlane traction to handle the upper ends of medium oil, though I certainly would not deploy it on true heavy or long oil patterns; that's where options such as the DNA or Summit come into play. I did find the BSY surprisingly strong, just as I did with the GO – it is a bit too strong for light or short oil patterns. I had to switch to a Hustle Camo for those.

Looking for a ball that is great when the lanes are fried at the end of a tournament, and you aren’t sure what you should be throwing? Look no further than the Electrify B-S-Y. This ball is great for that new bowler who wants their next ball, or the tournament bowler that can’t seem to find the right ball for the end of a tournament where the lanes have become a real challenge. Not to mention the color, this ball really stands out on the shelf and going down the lane. Ball Specs: Storm Electrify B-S-Y Reacta Gloss Reactor™ Pearl Reactive Weight Block: Circuit™ Core (Symmetrical) Color: Black/Silver/Yellow Review: This is one of those staple balls we look forward coming into our shop for many reasons. The color and fragrance are great (yes this matters to a novice bowler looking to step up from a Tropical Surge or a first ball purchase of something a bit more than “entry level”). This ball also serves many purposes for the traditional league bowler as well as seasoned tournament veteran. The Electrify B-S-Y could be used to fill the gap for a traditional league bowler who either does not have a symmetrical piece of equipment or has not yet experienced a pearl coverstock to help stay to the right part of the lane on those nights where you may run into some dry conditions. This ball is also a must have for the seasoned tournament veteran who needs a ball to get through the dry conditions late in a block without having to move against the ball return. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). For us it provides us with all the above. In times where a thunder line ball is too much, look no further than an Electrify. Ball Specs: Circuit Core with Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock - Reacta Gloss finish with medium flare potential Layout Specs: 30 x 2 1/2 x 60 Tested on: Pro Lane on a higher volume house pattern with a touch of out of bounds outside from 10 out towards gutter. My take: Having used 4 prior Electrify series balls, I found this one the closest to the prior Electrify hybrid where the G/O - which means Gold / Orange - inside joke of those remember the round table last year - :-) , and other pearls where real late in reaction, even with the short pin and front lower number, it still traveled down the pattern very smooth and not a large jerky motion off of the pattern and going from roll to hook stage. The most recent version the G/O was more jerky off of the pattern and more angular when entering the pocket. Just my thought that the color combo on this ball is closer to the Hybrid and not as much pearl look to it as the G/O has. A little less overall reaction compared to my long time benchmark ball the Roto Grip Hyped Hybrid. Assisted a number of clients which purchasing this ball for the fact that for the price point currently, it out performs any other ball in this price point across all ball lines. Excellent quality for the price - excellent ball to have bowlers set up into from the learn the ball sessions to a league bowler. They will be 100% happy with this ball. Built on the impressive performance of the Circuit Core, and Reactor Pearl Coverstock, Storm has created another winning Hot Series combination with the Electrify B-S-Y. So, let’s take a closer look at why The Electrify B-S-Y is a strong contender to put in any arsenal. Being a higher speed/low rev player, I count on a core that provides a stable and predictable motion to keep me in my comfort zone. And for me, the roll phase is the most essential motion to carry results and where the Circuit Core excels. The Circuit Core has a smooth sweeping motion provides a clear picture of when the Electrify B-S-Y enters the roll phase. And that allows me to make the correct adjustments without the guesswork. Further, I liked the Circuit Core has plenty of impact power at the pins. And it has good continuation through the pin deck for a lightweight, symmetrical core. So, overall the Circuit Core has been around for a long time, and its success continues in the Electrify B-S-Y. The Reactor Pearl Reactive Coverstock on the Electrify B-S-Y pleasantly surprised me. I expected to see the same results as I did the Electrify Pearl and the Electrify G-O, but this was not the case, and other than the color mixture, I can’t explain why. But I like how the B-S-Y was cleaner through the front part of the lanes than the Electrify Pearl and had a longer and smoother motion than the Electrify G-O. Please keep in mind that factory finishes rarely work for me, so I surfaced my B-S-Y with 2000-grit Abralon before I started bowling. Nonetheless, the Reactor Pearl coverstock performed well all night for my straighter and higher-speed game. And as the conditions began to break down, the Reactor Pearl kept getting better. So whether early on playing straight up second arrow or late night and moving my angles in, I liked the consistency and reliability of this Reactor Pearl mixture. And the only caveat I would add is to surface the Reactor Pearl to your game to obtain the best results! In conclusion, Storm has added another winner to their Hot Series with the Electrify B-S-Y. The B-S-Y is smooth, consistent, and predictable. And those attributes make the B-S-Y an excellent choice for many styles of bowlers. And if you are a higher-speed, low-rev player like me, you will find the B-S-Y is a perfect choice to add to your arsenal that will bring results to your game. So stop into your local Storm VIP Pro shop today and add this low-cost weapon to your arsenal. The Electrify B-S-Y is worth it! The Electrify BSY is the newest entrant into Storm’s Hot Line. The BSY is following in the successful footsteps of the Electrify Pearl, G/O, and Solid. The Reactor Pearl coverstock gives the BSY a clean look through the front part of the lane; however, the medium RG found in the Circuit Core gives this ball a little pep in it step off the end of the pattern. I drilled my BSY 4.75x3.75x2.75 2LS to match my G/O, and I see a few differences between the two balls. The BSY seems to give me a little more length through pattern and picks up 3-4ft later than my Electrify G/O. I often see different reaction given color differences, but I have also put a few games on my Electrify G/O. The BSY gives me a little more angle off the end of the pattern whereas the G/O is earlier and more overall. I seem to be able to cover more boards with my Electrify G/O; however, I think after I put some more games on my BSY it can replace the G/O in my bag. Both of these balls were finished with Reacta-Gloss which I typically do not like, but I do like it on these two balls because it helps push my breakpoint further downlane. If you are looking for a lower-to-medium level ball that will still give you punch on the backend at a lower price point, this ball definitely needs to be taken into consideration.

The Electrify B-S-Y is a fantastic ball and its a steal for the price. It features the Reactor Pearl Coverstock and the Circuit Core. I never got the chance to throw one of the past Electrify’s but I compared the Electrify BSY to a favorite of mine, the IQ Emerald. I was surely surprised by the ball motion as they were almost identical. Had no trouble making the corner from any angle. If you have enjoyed the electrify series the B-S-Y is a must have. The Electrify B-S-Y will work best on medium to drier THS patterns. The B-S-Y can be used for all types of bowling styles and is a good piece to use with its oob finish. Nothing necessarily fancy here but a good ball to get the job done. In general I have no concerns regarding the oob Reacta Gloss finish. For me, I generally skuff my pearl pieces with a fresh 4k or 3K by hand to slightly dull the surface. I always suggest to roll the oob finish first to see what the lanes are telling you to do. For me, the Electrify B-S-Y floats super easy through the front part of the lane and will glide slightly longer than your !Q Tour Ruby. The Electrify B-S-Y will respond sharper to friction and provide more angle. One nice surprise for me is that the Electrify B-S-Y did not overtake the corner downlane and was more in play then I initially anticipated. The Electrify B-S-Y is a nice addition for any arsenal and you'll likely find a spot in the bag for most medium to dry THS patterns. I truly recommend this one for your THS conditions where you desire to move easy with the transition. It's quickly becoming a nice ball to have in the bag. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: The Electrify line has always been a good series of balls for me. The Electrify B/S/Y Pearl is no exception. I rolled this ball and was even more pleased with it than expected. The BSY seemed to grip the lane harder than my G/O. This may be due to the color additives or the fact it was a brand new out of box surface. The BSY read the mid lanes perfectly and then made a great move to the pocket and it seemed all my shots looked the same as the ball struck and went through the pins. I would consider this a medium to strong ball. The BSY hooked more than the Surge Purple but less than the Exotic Gem. The Electrify B/S/Y will be a house shot killer at my center during the summer where they seem to thin the oil a bit. I will leave this ball at box surface because it seems to match the core perfectly. The color and scent of the ball are nice as an added touch. Summary: The Electrify B/S/Y is a good looking addition to the Electrify Line. This ball creates a nice entry angle to the pocket. The Electrify should be a house shot killer.
