Drilled pin under ring photo of layout . http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a238/9orbetter/Bowling% 20Balls/XCEPTION5.jpg This layout gives me my favorite read of the lanes. Very continous threw the pocket. This ball loves to play the inside line.Third ,fourth at the arrows, flush. I also used this ball in texas at the Storm/Bowlers Journal and shot 832.( I should cash) Shot my six 300 last night. Carry is outstanding even with the carrydown during the fourth game of league (2nd shift). Have had the opportunity to purchase another and possilbly a third. Track made a fine peice, core and cover work well.

Well this is the second post I have for you. This is for the xception 5.0. Layout - PIN 4 1/2" Under bridge - CG 3 1/8""-MB 5 1/2" ( all from PAP) Surface - 1000 polished and softly rubbed by hand with a grey scotch brite. Reaction It is a skid/snap ball, but because of the surface it is a little smoother then most people have it at. I would like it to be more skid/snap but I havent fixed that. Other then that the reaction is really nice. It clears the heads great with very little to no reaction on them and just a bit more on the mids. Yet when it hits the backend or 1-2 feet before it it reads strong. Then it starts its move. Snaping into the pocket great. Rating 10 Readabily This ball for how I have it can easly be the ball I read the lanes with. Like I said with its ability to skid the heads and start in the mids this can be a benchmark ball. Yet if you hit to much oil this ball will skid 60 feet to success even at 400 grit (HAD IT AT 400 FORGOT TO CHANGE IT AND IT

This ball is what I have placed as the marker of a average ball and a great ball. And this ball is beyond great, it's flipping LEGENDARY!!! I could play this ball from anywhere on the lane and the drier the lanes got the further left I had to move but that was to be expected. I could play on heavier oil patterns but with a straighter line. I am a firm believer in adjusting to what the lane gives you so that you can get strikes and this ball is easy to adjust with because of the predictablility and continuous back-end motion. Thanks Track!!!<

I bought this ball for $50, used with only around 5-10 games on it. I got it drilled to go long and snap and when I find the pocket, this ball hits it and keeps going! When I hit my mark or am a baord or two to eather side, the ball will hold and hit the pocket with athority. If I throw it low or keep it high, this ball with really creates some pin action. I have 6 other Track balls and not 1 of those balls compair to this one. My only dislike is when the ball goes right through the pins and your left with some ugly leaves! My only dislike is when the ball goes right through the pins and your left with some ugly leaves! I'm 16 and ave. around 200-215. I own 7 balls and they're all Track. The Xception 5.0, Xception, Arsenal Reactive, Arsenal Aggresive, Animal, Crunch Time, and the older EMB. All of them have treated me really good and are really fun to throw. They will work in any condition you throw at them, hold it's line, and hit the pocket with power. I also use all Track cleaners an

I thought my buddies ball he had it redrilled anyways i only took 2 shots but they were both flush strikes. First time throwing track i had no complaints ball went long and a hard move at the end. it's a good ball people should get it :) I thought my buddies ball he had it redrilled anyways i only took 2 shots but they were both flush strikes. One of the greatest balls i have ever owned. I will never get rid of this ball until it cannot be thrown anymore. I was never a fan of particle pearl equipment because it always died but this is an exception. It has not even come close to dyin and i have had it for 6 months. The ball is unbelieveable. I wanted to try a drillin and i put it on the perfect ball. I drill the middle finger through the pin and kicked the cg out jus outside my ring finger. I shot my high series with this ball and a couple 300s with it. The ball has a massive gash in it but i still throw it. i refuse to fix it i dont want to change the roll its that damn good.<sc

Bought the ball because I was having problems with carry. Felt I needed something that saved it`s energy for the last ten to fifteen feet and it does that. Played 20 to 5 and about 19- 20mph. Usually when I play inside I will leave alot of tenpins cause I have everyhting drilled to roll early to compensate for the ballspeed & by the time they get to the pocket they have lost their energy. Going to Natl`s in March should be a great ball for that shot. Got some tourneys coming up next few weeks, so I should get to see how it reacts on harder shots. Threw it mon. in league and shot 177,205,266 for 648. Nothing great but pleased for first time out of the box. Big Track fan & this ball does nothing but reaffirm my thinking.

I just bought this ball and it amazed me right from the start. This ball hooks so much that If I make a mistake, it will show it. Used it on a shot that I use my unleashed on and the ball did almost exactly the same thing only better. I now have the thenom unleashed, Rule, Exception, and Exception5.0. Another great ball from track. Definitely amonst the best balls ever made. If you're looking for a ball that will open up the lane unlike anyother, this ball is for you. Highly reccommended. I shot 193,208,190,199 for my first night with the ball. I love it and I know that those scores will only go up the more I use it.

So far, so good. As opposed to the skid/snap of the first Xception, this ball hooks earlier and with more of an arc. With most of my other equipment being skid/snap, I throw the ball hard enough that I tend to throw the ball through the break point, creating unnecessary over/under on even the easiest of house conditions. Not with this ball, though. So far, I can fire away on even the heaviest oil I'll encounter (Sat. night league), and still arc the ball. Needless to say, at that speed, rotation, and arc, it hits like a bomb. And, at 15lbs., it deflects a little more and keeps the pins lower for better carry whereas my 16lb stuff blew pins over the top and left a lot of 9-pins

First reviews from a new Track Regional Staffer: I am a right handed power tweener. Approximately 30 degrees of tilt, 17 mph ball speed and a rev rate in the area of 370. Axis coordinates of 4 3/8” over and 27/32” up. Xception 5.0 #1: Drilled my first Exception 5.0 with the pin just above and to the right of my middle finger. Pin is 4 ¾ from my PAP with the mass bias 4 7/8” inches from my PAP (a 1 ¼” kick from my midline). There is no extra hole. If comparing to the Track Mass Bias drill chart, this drilling falls closest to the ‘sharp break’ drilling. If you prefer the degree layout method, this one checks in at 60 degrees. I used this ball out of the box on both a house shot and a tougher patter of 40’ flat, both on AMF synthetic lanes (1 year old). With the box finish on the house shot I could really wheel it. Inside out with plenty of recovery, however this resulted in plenty of 9 pins and some seriously ugly splits as my entry angle was simply too sharp. On the

This ball is a perfect fit between the Xception and GP2. I drilled mine with the pin below and between my fingers, CG stacked below pin and mass bias below my thumb. I drilled it this way so the ball will check up early for the longer PBA patterns. I left it out of the box and used it on a house shot the ball rolled up nice in the mid-lane and still finished strong. However, it wasn't what I was looking for so I scuffed it with a wet grey scotch bright pad. It was even better on a house shot, but I still wanted it to check up quicker and harder. So I scuffed it again with a wet red scotch bright pad. This seemed to do the trick as it checked up quick but still had nice hook on the back. I love the way this ball fine tuned so easily it gave me plenty of options without losing hitting power. I see this combination getting plenty of use this summer. I haven't drilled my other 5.0 as I'm waiting to see how the the changes to the PBA regional patterns are

I drilled 2 Xception 5.0's The 1st is 5x3 with the pin under the fingers and the MB at 80. The Xhole is on my axis. Box Surface. This ball gets through the fronts and REALLY reads the midlane with a very smooth move in the back. This ball works well on the fresh but really shines when the track starts to open up. This ball reminds me a lot of the Absolute Inferno with better bit. The 2nd is a 5.5x4 with the pin over the fingers and the MB at 45. The Xhole is on my axis and Box surface. This ball has about 5 more boards of backend that the 1st 5.0. This ball gets down the lane very nicely and saves a lot of energy for the back. I used this ball during doubles and singels at ABC. I shot 666 & 766 with this ball. When the track starts to break down and there is some carry down on the back, this ball is a MONSTER. This is one of the best balls I have EVER thrown! WOW!!!!!! Is all I can say about this ball... Hey everyone, I am back again with the review on the Xception 5.0. Words can not describe this ball, just get one and throw it for yourself.... Where do we start, first off, ball is drilled 5 x 5 1/2, pin 2 1/4" above midline, no balance hole. OOB... This ball is like the Xception just alot more bite. Looking for that ball to take corners, well look no further... This ball reads the mids very well, and stores all its energy for the backs... This ball I find on fresh is a little touchy becasue of the explosive backend it gives, give it a little carry down and this ball is golden... Great for those bowlers on fresh lanes that dont have alot of rotation this ball will help you get around the corners better. The bowlers that have lots of rotation are going to love this ball especially on the carry down....This ball also has a great looking colour to it for those people that are picky about what a ball looks like.... I must say this bal

I drilled 2 Xception 5.0's. Both balls have the pin under the fingers. One has the mb at 45 degrees the other at 90 degrees. These balls compliment each other very well. The 45 degree drill is a hook and layoff ball that I use on fresh backends. This keeps the ball from driving to hard through tthe pins. The 90 degree drill I scuffed lightly with a burgandy pad to pick up a roll sooner. This ball works better when the backends get some carry down and you need the ball to finish. I can also use this ball on slightly longer patterns. In my arsenal this ball fits between the GP2 and the Xception.

Drilled 4 ¼ X 5 1/8 X 1 ½ Patterns used: House and PBA Regional Pattern #1 (40ft) Medium rev player with average ball speed The Xception 5.0 is a wonderful compliment to the original Xception. The 5.0 creates excellent skid through the front part of the lane with a smooth continuous backend. The 5.0 will is overall a stronger ball than the original Xception however neither is a heavy oil ball like the GP2. The 5.0 is a great ball for medium to medium to dry conditions, as well as medium length patterns. The particle pearl coverstock helps control the backend into a smooth continuous motion rather than a hockey stick like reaction. The 5.0 is great for a medium pattern with fresh backend. Overall the 5.0 is a great ball to have in your arsenal for medium conditions.

This ball is great compliment to the GP2. I drilled mine with a 6 inch pin above my fingers and the mass was about 5 3/4 from my axis. with my rev rate being so high I wanted something that would just pick up a nice roll and not be so flippy on the back. I have my GP2 drilled pretty close to the same way and they really do compliment each other really well. I can't wait to drill my other one a little stronger to see what it will do. another great ball from dell and everybody at track.

I am a "Tweener " and the Xception 5.0 is a great ball for medium oil patterns. I drilled the ball with a controled backend drilling. Pin to axis is 4 1/2 and the mass bias is 3 1/8 to axis with no xtra hole, so it does have possitive weight. I was amazed by the pull through the front and the midlane read of the ball. You can tell that the core does have a higher spin rate than the Xception and the GP2. I liked it so much that I drilled a second one with a different drilling. I drilled the second one with a strong backend drilling. Pin to axis is 5 and the mass bias is 5 1/8 no xtra hole. I have not used this one as much but can tell that it goes longer.

BALL: 5 inch pin from PAP, under the bridge MB 3.5 inches right of thumb 3 3/4 from PAP. I have a Rule GP2 with a similiar layout and wanted to see what the 5.0 would do with it. Ball was left in its OOB finish. Lane Conditions: I have only used it on a THS so far. 36ft oil in the middle, it tapers all of the way to the gutter, buffed to 44ft. Line: Deep inside line. Reaction: Due to the name I am going to try to compare this ball to the Xception more than any other. The shot I used this ball on is my center's THS, and I could not keep the 5.0 off of the head pin. Last night I threw on a fresh shot and I had to stand 42 with my feet (I can rev it up, but I am never this far left), My target was between the 6 pin and 10 pin. This was with my usual release, I moved right and tried to fluff it but I still had to stand 28. The backend of the 5.0 is unmatched by any ball I have thrown. The 5.0 reads the mids far better than the Xception does and has more backend. Impact: Thi
