I got this ball with pin out and drilled it label with the pin at about 1:30 2 o'clock position. This ball has excellent length with a great controllable snap. Not too flippy but also not an arcing reaction. I can play almost anywhere on the lane from up the boards at 5 or 10 to a small swing outside to a big swing from the middle to s tight line deep inside. The ball stills delivers a very readable reaction and great hitting power. The ball also gives a great read to what the lanes are doing for when it is too much or not enough ball so I can make the right adjustment. I love to throw this ball in tournaments as it seems to be the most even ball in my bag for those tough patterns.<scr

so heres the deal, i originally bought it when it first came out when i was around a 150 bowler, threw it for about a year and loved it (shot my first 279) but at that point i didnt know much about bowling balls. I bought new equipment and just let this 1 sit in my closet for like a year and a half. one day i thought to myself, i really liked that ball why dont i get it respaned and resurfaced. It was the best 40 bucks i ever spent. It was like it was completely brand new and i loved it more then ever. i was around a 200 at the time i redid it and it took me to almost 210. i also shot my first 300 with it. Its a smooth arcing back end which i like a lot. It scrambles pins around on light shots and minimizes 7 pins (im lefty). its too bad they dont make them anymore because i had to retire it after completley tracking it out for the second time, id be willing to spend a lot of money to get another.

During our city tournament I was struggling because it felt like the house forgot to oil for the last week. Plus they have the ever lovely Guardian lane surface to make things worse. My cousin said he had too many bowling balls and knew I liked 16 lbs. so he just gave me the ball for nothing. He bought it used, didn't like it, so let me toss it. I took it home and threw a bunch of tape in it. We have the same span but I have skinny girl hands so new inserts and tape is all I did before I decided if I wanted to redrill it or not. I toss it during practice in league and think it rolls alright. I'll toss it the first game and if I don't like it i'll change balls. All I do is fan a 10 pin in the 8th frame but strike every other frame for a 267. I keep throwing it the next two games and shoot back to back 278's for a personal best 823. With this ball, it feels like I can't miss. The only way I can miss is if I throw it like a girl or think i'm Robert Smith for a frame. Right o

I am very very very impressed to say the least.Got it from my pro shop and I was asked to throw it.I was stunned by the results I recieved averaging almost 230 with it! It is a shame it has been discontinued because this was a great ball.I have never thrown Track's equipment until late this year and I'll tell you something they have won me over.I absoultly love their equipment.Great products and a good price. They devote a lot of time and I have quickly come to appreciate their high quality products. They are truly the best. The Threat is a versatile ball whether you want to play down and in or deep inside, she knocks everything down in her way!

One of Track's best and most versatile balls. Drilling is 5.5 X 5 with pin below fingers. Threat provides length, as it will lope early, providing a hard transition at the breakpoint and saving energy for the hit. Threat consistently sends messengers hunting for any pins remaining on the deck. This is not one of Track's big hookers, but is very angular even on lighter patterns and toasty conditions. Threat is not for the soup, but will handle medium - heavy patterns as long as it finds dry either down the lane or outside. Will shoot through breakpoint if carrydown or Out of Bounds conditions exist. Ideal house shot ball that allows bowler to strike at will once lined up.<scr

I rolled my high series ever with a Track Triton, so I was excited about this new release from the Triton line. I don't know, it just doesn't work for me. The original Triton fit my game perfectly. I've worn out that old ball completely, resurfaced it until it's circumference is too small! But I bet I could still shoot better with it than with this new Threat. I'm sorry, but I don't think that all new equipment is great. Most of them have been, but this one, not so much. I paid top dollar for it, too. Wish I could get just half my money back out of it. As a matter of fact, you may see it on eBay soon. I'm sure it's great for some people, but not me. These are my first reviews, I plan on being more technical in the future.

This ball was a pin in and drilled over the label with a touch of positive side. I am able to open up the lane and the ball recovers beautifully in carrydown. A change in hand position also allows this ball to be used as the shot dries out and moves inside. Definitely a great value for a midprice ball. Shortly after getting this ball, I rolled my first 300 in a center I had not shot a 300 in while bowling there for over ten years. I would love to try another one of these balls drilled different. I do highly recommend this ball for anyone who likes Track equipment.

Just drilled the ball with a 5 " pin and 5 on the CG. Played it down and in and had real nice control. When long and came in around 50 feet down the lane. Came in real nice and hit the pocket. There was a couple of balls that it came up a little late and left the 7 pin. This ball will be really good for late in a tournament when you need a little more control. I am going to try out this ball Thursday with fresh backends. I would not recommend this ball for heavy oil. This is the kind of ball that you would use for shorter oil patterns. OUr house has the oil dressed 30 feet down the lane. So using this ball would help keep the ball left long enough to put it in the pocket.<scrip

Well, what I can say is this ball is really beautiful & easy catch somebody's eye when you playing on the lanes. It's slow motion core will make the back end comes very late & cannot allow to play on oilly lane conditions. It flip if your tilt angle more than 45 degrees. This is quite wide applicable for every kind of players. As the advertisement shown...Only you will need is "Handle with care & put it in or out the bag correctly". Don't use it on carry down lanes,it not a good choice at all. Happy Chinese New Year!!

this is perfect for lane that have medium oil on it. I i have the pin set at 0 so i am baically hooking the ball. But the ball goes very long down and that snaps on the backend. i you want to put a ray of backends balls in your bag to carry around buy this one. some of the bad thing about this bad is that if you run into a larger number of oil then you better pull out another ball. another bad thing about this ball is that head are dry and the back has carry down do use this ball use a ball like the dry heat i have hear about that ball to much but i like what i see.

This ball I would not reccommend is very disappointing expecially after throwing my other Track balls. Pardon the pun but Track has dropped the ball on this one. This is supposed to be the same core as the Heat2 which is an excellent ball so maybe the flaw is in the coverstock used. I know several other people who have purchased the Threat about the same time and all have similar problems and complaints. Have tried this ball on various conditions and have tried various lines and the only one that seems to work is around forst arrow on extremly dry conditions. When the ball does hit the pocket it does hit hard and gets alot of pin action.<scri

This ball is just to lane condition sensitive for me. First game goes well(if it is med oil) then as oil carrys down and it just does nothing. I will admit if the back end is buffed like early in the shift it does a okay job. When the lanes get drier then it does a better job again. As for recs I would say if you are looking for a ball that will be good for you on late shift this will do a good job. If you are looking for a ball that does it all I would not rec this ball.

I have mine drilled pin below ring, cg swung out 3" towards PAP. All I can say is this is a great ball from Track. I have been using this ball on both sport shot and house conditions. Sport shot is lighter in oil volume and good backends. This ball flies. Stand on 28 put it over 15 out to 8 and it comes roaring back to the pocket. On the house shot, stand on 20 put it over 18 out to about 12 and flush in the pocket. This ball has a ton of backend and retains its energy very well. The hit at the pins is like none I have ever seen. High hits carry, light hits carrry, its amazing to see how the pins fly when this ball hits. The only thing this ball isnt good for is the presence of heavier volumes of oil. Especially in the backends when there is carrydown. The cover isnt strong enough to grip so you may have to play straight up the boards with it. All in all a very good ball from Track. Definately one of my favorites!!

This ball is really an amazing combination of strength and control. I didn't really understand this ball at first. I hadn't really liked the original heat (I know one of two people on earth right!!!) but knew it was one of the greatest balls ever. I drilled mine with the pin 4 inches from the pap below the fingers and hole on my axis. I had trouble reading the breakpoint at first so I made the hole bigger until I got it to read predictably. Once I got the hole big enough to read, this ball came to life. More control than my Mutant, more flip than my EZ, it became the inbetween for two of my favorites. I was also amazed at how well this ball seems to work when the carrydown/pattern gets down the lane quite a ways. I guess the really small core allows this ball to roll more and stay online better. When my Mutant overs and unders too much, my thrash is a touch early and my EZ doesn't want to continue, this ball shines. All in all, it makes me wish I would have thrown the original more

THE BALL ROLLED GREAT FOR THE FIRST FEW WEEKS SHOWING STRONG MOVEMENT AT THE BREAKPOINT.SINCE THEN,I HAVE EXPERIENCED A BIT OF OVER UNDER WITH THE PIECE.IT APPEARS THAT ONCE THE BALL DEVELOPES A ROLLING TRACK ITS PERFORMANCE TENDENCIES BECOME A LITTLE LESS PREDICTABLE.THESE CHANGES WERE NOTICED IN THE BALL WITHOUT THE CONDITIONS IT WAS BEING USED ON CHANGING MUCH AT ALL.IT NOW APPEARS TO PERFORM BETTER ON LIGHTER CONDITIONS.I USED A 4" PIN LAYOUT POSITIONED TO THE RIGHT OF THE RING FINGER,CG 2.5"FROM MY PAP,MASS BIAS KICKED OUT TOWARDS MY VERTICAL AXIS LINE.OVER ALL I WOULD SAY THE THREAT IS A SOLID BUT NOT SPECTACULAR BALL.....

ive used it this weekend at the ozark open in springfeild missouri.it was second set and real toast conditions for double and singles. it still went long but i still had to bump the oil that was left in the middle i played 4th arrow and this ball never burned up or lost its hit at all. iwas able to speed it up and still had control. for me its not a hook monster but a very good control ball. i used the blade pearl from hammer as a fill ball in the 10th but it hooked right now as soon as it hit the lane.this ball will have a place in my tournament bag for sure. seems to be easy to clean.

This is a good ball for light/medium oil and dry backends. I have a slower ball speed, so I really have to keep the speed up to keep it from over-reacting. But once it makes its move, there's very little deflection when it hits the pins. But because it turns so hard, nine pins and weird combinations can be a problem. It kind of reminds me of the first reactive balls that made a U-turn on dry lanes. The Threat isn't too effective on longer oil patterns or carrydown though.... Overall rating - 9 out of 10....

Great all around ball. I am consistently hitting the pocket and carrying more ten pins. It allows me as much swing as I need. Drilled up for moderate hook, I'd love to see what it could do wide open. The control is excellent - it does not over react. When pulled inside, it will hold better than most but do think that it will not take off from with swing from 15 to 5 - just make sure your picked the right angle. I am looking forward to this ball in Knoxville. Works best when cleaned frequently, usually with Track's own Reaction Plus.<scri

First off this ball was drilled for me at Taylor (PBA) when all the equipment I had wouldnt drive with the drillings I had. Track leverage weighted this ball and dulled it down a bit to give me on the D shot more drive. I had been throwing a Mutant, drilled for house bowling and couldnt carry ANYTHING. No matter how much turn I placed on the ball, the 2 pin was there! After getting this ball it was like house bowling was back, but when I tried using this like this for regular bowling, no way. Polished it back up again and it was great. It can be speeded up a touch and go longer, or slowed for a bit more drive. But if you can't do this consistantly. Stay with the Freak line.

I was looking for a medium oil ball to take to the lanes after they had become too dry for my Reaction Arc but not dry enough for my Pearl Beast....that's when I found the Track Threat. Very good medium oil ball for when the lanes break down and you have to go to a different ball. Although I was loyal to Columbia 300, Track may have won my heart with this ball....and I don't have to feel too guilty because they are sister companies. The past few months seem to have been dominated by Track as far as quality and popularity of products from what I've seen and heard, and now I know why. I suggest this ball to anyone that is looking to fill the void between light oil ball and heavy oil ball....it is the perfect fit.

Smoooth gliding stealth bomber with REAL length and predictable strong move with top carry. Control not sacrificed provided you have good hands and can vary speed and releases. This allows the ball to be used on a wide variety of lane conditions. Great energy saving ball, reminds me of the Fire Storm, in that it turns late and sharp, but is not a crazy skid flipper. One big bonus is how well it deals with carrydown, the particle loading is beautifully balanced to the coverstock and core, and because of the excellent length characteristics, the outside shot is now back in play as a genuine contender for serious scoring.

i am a huge track guy right now ,their balls are well above any company . i drilled this ball to go long and snap, the specs i drilled this ball 41/2 by 5 with the pin over the ring finger. this layout gives me some length with strong snap on the back. there isnothing wrong with bring back a old core with some adjustments to the cover. overall this ball is another great ball from track and fills my arsenal completeley. del warren is doing a great job at track and i will buy every thing the they put out.

We drilled this ball out last night as a replacement for my dying Heat 2. Ball is actually quite nice with a long, smooth glide through the heads and a very angular break shape. If you like to play high/tight in the pocket this may not be the ball for you. I'm left-handed and could not trip a 6 pin playing tight, even left a few 6/8 splits in the process. For now I'm giving this ball an 8 pin rating mostly because it's not very comparable to the Heat 2. It's still a good ball, just not what I was told by Track Inc. I only have six games on it under med oil house conditions so I'll try to update next month after it has some more frames on it. Well, it's been many games since my first post and I must say this ball is very impressive. True roll and quick turn in the dry even after 60+ games - still leaves the occasional 6 pin but holds the tight line well. definately worth the $$$.

Very good track ball to add to your collection, shot 647 out of the box with it, I believe track should not have waited to come out with this ball they should've brought it out after they brought out the heat 2, and should've left the heat 2 pearl sitting in the idea box. hit just like it just hooks a bit more. Track is a great ball manufactorer that came out with yet an other gem. I have about 1000 games on my heat 2 and still hooking and hitting as strong as ever just it is about fell apart and the Threat will take the place of that ball without any questions or concerns. will be back with more of a review on the ball after I have thrown it on the different shots in leagues.

Very good ball. This is my third good ball I have bought and think it is by far the best. I haven't been bowling real long and only carry about a 170 average but this ball has increased my score a ton. It hits the pocket like nothing I have seen before. The only other ball to come close is the storm X-Factor but I don't think it is as versatile. This ball is good for most any style bowlers. I wouldn't say everyone but I haven't heard any complaints from other people who throw it.
