No one can be told what the PHENOM is... You have to experience it for yourself. • Morpheus 2.0 generates more power without sacrificing controllability. • This quick revving core design creates the defined breakpoint necessary for increased entry angle and pin carry. • Phenom’s reaction shape can be altered significantly with different drillings. • The Fang particle cover can be adjusted with little effort to control both length and backend strength. • Each ball is dynamically spun to ensure accurate mass bias placement.

This is a great ball to add to your line up. it is very aggresive and rolls beautifully. it is the best Track ball i have ever owned. it works best on heavy oil. i would suggest it if you are looking for a ball to get across the lane. I love this ball. it took a lot of convincing to buy a purple ball, but i'm glad i did, it has paid off. it took some changes in my approach to accomidate the extra movement, but after some practice, i figured the ball out. dont give up on this ball to quickly, give it time to figure you out and vice versa.

This ball was great when it moved to the pocket. I carried some crap that I never would have thought about. I dropped the ball once and the ball went straight to the 6/10. When it it, I dont know what happened but I still managed to get a strike. I didnt see it, but people say it was odd. I'd have to trust them. The surface of that ball was one I liked. The grit on it was the key to its awesomeness. After the ball died, I didnt know what was going on. I could have sworn it was me. So I tried and tried to change small little things to improve it. It never worked. So I sold it. For dirt cheap. The guy who bought it, loved it. So it must have some sorf of live left.

Every bowler I've seen throw a phenom has loved it. I would have one myself if I didn't already have a ball in my arsenal that does the same thing. If you can find one on Ebay or through your favorite pro shop and you need a great oil ball then do what ever it takes to get your hands on one! I am not normally a Track/AMF/Columbia fan but this one was special. Track is comming out with some excellent equipment right now however. The Desert Heat is another great ball. Hopefully this is enough words now so I can quit droning on about nothing.

Man does this ball move. I have it drilled 4 1/4 with no axis hole and it has the out of the box finish. I swear I can move left and just fire towards the 6 pin and it comes barreling in. My only complaints with this ball is it makes a strong snap which can be a little jerky. Also, the angle of entry can be a little too sharp which causes a lot of standing 9 pins if it comes off the corner too strong. Don't expect to use this ball every game unless you are comfortable throwing from the half board and playing the arrows on the other side of 20. But if you are looking for a ball to cut through the soup, this is it.

I drilled this ball 4X2, with weighthole on the PAP. I brought it back to 1/2 oz positive side. From the other reviews I knew that it wasn't a flippy ball. The truth is with this drilling, the ball goes into a heavy forward roll. It is very controllable with oil on the heads. It arcs very strongly and carries well. I threw it on some lanes with heavy carry down and it didn't squirt out at all. Very consistant breakpoint. If you are looking for the ability to score on med to hvy oil, I think you should try to find one of these. It might work for you. If you agree with my idea for controll and hvy roll to score on oil then this might be the ball for you. If you want a hook monster then look elsewhere.

Same specs as last review on this ball. I sanded this ball down a little to about 1000 grit and it starts reving up in the mid lane a lot more, after i went threw my 1st slump and re-did my whole game with the help of a coach i have noticed that this ball has major potential as a GREAT ball in everyones bag. I was using it more straght up the boards, about 15 out to 5 and back with a lot of power. Now this ball is by no means a hook monster but i beleive that is because of its shorter pin. All and all this ball is still rocking my lanes. Great ball, a must have for the league bowler!!!<scr

specs pin - 2 in top - 2-3 ounces mass bias position 3 (on or near val) drilled with pin over ring finger and mass bias near val. Not a huge hook i was throwing it with about 300 rpms off my hand but the ball was doing like 400 at the pins. i think i was throwing the ball a little fast because it would start to rev like a son of a and then as it started to grab and make that big move it would be in contact with the pins. so im eigher going to sand it down a bit or slow my ball speed down...or both. the ball was being laid down at 28 and going accross the third arrow a good solid hook but i want more. the ball had "phenomanal" backend power just raw power i could toss pins all over and carry em all, a few ringing tens but that was my fault. AWSOME BALL except for factory finish. will post again when sanded down or slowed down.<scri

FYI: This review is for the Phenom Unleashed, I accidently posted it to the Phenom and don't know how to change it!! I only get a new ball every 2-4 years, and use the same ball for strikes and spares. I am typically a 190+ one-night a week (no summer) league bowler, no preference on wood or synthetic - so you know where I'm coming from. I have about 20 games on this ball, my lowest has been in the 170's, and I had a 298 game already. The potential is unlimited with this ball, I have never had success this fast with a new ball. It is mandatory to get this ball down the lane early and let it do the work for you on the back end. I haven't used in on a dry lane yet - it probably is the wrong ball for that anyway. I am a stroker, and no doubt a correctly throw stroker shot with this ball is deadly. I'll write back in about 100 games.

Weight: 14lbs 0oz Pin: 3" Drilled: 4.5x4.5(mass bias) pin under ring (for bowler stats, check my profile) Hook: Great ball. One of the most controllable and readable hooks I have in my bag. Compared to my Super Power Pearl, it's A LOT stronger and earlier. I can easily swing this ball from 20 to 5 and back to the pocket. Compared to my Animal, it reacts a couple feet later and is about 2 boards weaker. The reaction is a very strong arc. (10/10) Hit: The ball hits very hard. It doesn't hit quite as hard as my Animal, but that can be attributed to the slightly weaker core. The pins are kept low and carry is usually awesome. Occasionally, when I'm playing a very deep line, the entry angle is too great and I tend to leave a couple stone tens. Ball deflection is very good; I haven't left many stone 8 or 9's. (9/10) Control: The Phenom is very forgiving and easy to control. The forgiveness of the ball can be attributed to it's huge hook potential. The reaction is a

I got this ball a year ago. It hooked a lot at first then died out on me after about 20 games. I keeped it clean but it still died out. I bought an Ultimate inferno and put this ball away for 4 months. Then about a month ago I decided to take it out again. I don't know what happend but it was like a new ball. My average went up 25 pins with this ball over a 3 week period. But then it lost its hook again. So I decided to get it polished. This ball is a diffrent ball when polished. It goes down the lane and snaps back hard killing the pins. Another nice thing with it beeing polished is it dosn't suck up all the oil and makes it easy to clean. I still like my Ultimate Inferno better but the Phenom is a very good ball and I will use it in Medium oil conditions.

Took out from box. Was nothing special. Actually, I always had another ball tha was better. Than, I tried to change the surface with my old ballspinner! First sandpaper 1000, than 1000 polish and voĆla, a new ball in my hands. Hits hard and turn 4-5 ft longer down comparing to my loved X-factor. A sharp angle towards the pocket. If U tends to leave 10 ping, use scotchbrite, to shorten the breakpoint. Won't leave my bag for meny years... This ball can be a killer on dry / medim oiled lanes! Hope that all of you tha have dead/tired Phenom, use this tip to find your $137,50 ball usefull!<scr

This is the best ball I've ever owned. It has a very good recovery for balls thrown too far outside, and it doesn't mind taking a little oil inside either. I have about a fiver board area where it'll strike on a normal lane condition. I don't have high revs, so it doesn't always break in a lot of oil. Also, if the heads are dry it'll break way too early and loses all its energy. It does tend to leave 10 pins occasionaly, but so does every ball you own. Track and Columbia 300 are both great companies and should continue throwing out this awesome stuff.

I like big ball, it has gavin me some good times and all. But Track is making there new line up and I think im going to go to the animal or maby even the dry heat. Because my lanes are dry then i go to a touri and there oiled. So I dont know. I hope if you starting out and you have oily lanes that you would get this ball because this is an 10 type ball and I made a good choice buying it! Im like the other person i know wif this ball tho and that's kinda crazy and everything but still im the best lol

With this ball I located the Pin below the Ring finger and the Mass bias just to the left of the thumb. Yesterday I started using the ball to get used to it. First I tried down and in and I couldn't keep the ball off the head pin. I then moved my target and my feet right. Then I swung it out a little more and I started hitting consistently. This ball has a good strong arc at the breakpoint and drives hard through the pocket. Our house has a short oil pattern and with the third arrow I can become very consistent with hitting the pocket. Other houses might be different, but I like how I can just tell when I roll a good ball inside that it will come back and take out the pins with little to no effort.

This is the ball for oil. Have not found a condition yet where the ball wouldn't hook. Purchased the Phenom for a oily condition that my old Mutant couldn't handle. The ball not only hooked in that condition, but carries everything...very, very few corner pins. After 15-20 frames, ball has worn out its welcome and starts straightening out due to the worn lane track. Once the ball starts grabbing early, give it a kiss and put it back in the bag. Since you'll be turning 450-500 at that point, you'll be OK. Ball does not rip the rack like my Mutant or Cherry Bomb. But the seven always seems to carry. Coupla nights ago carried three straight heavy hit six pins. Didn't have to be particular about hitting any certain mark either. Ball did not work well with the out-of-box finish; was grabbing too early and losing all its energy. A coat of particle polish though caused this thing to be very consistent, especially considering how many boards it can cross. Be ready to tweak

This ball really has everything that anyone would ask for. It has an incredible hook, excellent carry, monster backend and an unmatched hit. If you want a ball that will rev up perfectly then buy this. The ball is best with the out of the box finish. It will give you good scores most of the time. I started off throwing it on the 1st arrow and it still came back for a strike. When the lanes dried up I threw it on the 2nd arrow and it still finished perfectly. I have a Throttle as well, and this ball is the perfect compliment to any ball. The ball is the best ever by Track and is a billion times better then the Phenom Unleashed which has less hook than this one. It has great length for a heavy oil ball. Get this ball and you will not regret it at all.

Took a little while to get used to. I had a Track TKO before this ball and really enjoyed it. This ball goes down a little further and I can throw it a lot harder than the TKO and it still comes in hard. I really like the way it hits in the pocket, really hard. It cleans the rack on very high hits and on very thin hits, it really clears the pins. It almost seems like the pins are jumping to get out of the way. I think that this ball was a good step in the right direction, I was disappointed when I heard that the TKO was discontinued, but now that I have had the chance to try this new ball I understand the difference in technology.

No more explanation.Just like it & shapes on back-end.Hit harder than you think. Once you have it in your personal arsenal. No need to take care how the oil carry down on the lane.As long as there is still enough safety zone in front part, you can easily put it in the right position... This is the best weapon for competition. If you don't like it,I belive only color problem you have!! Great hit sound will lead you into another level of play bowling.Don't just see it,Enjoy it!! I bought this ball just before I broke my hand. I never got to roll it. Last Saturday I finally gave in and took it down to the lanes. The ball is drilled with the Pin 4 1/2" from the PAP with the MB @ 5". The lanes were synthetic, with oil 7 to 7 down to 40ft. Heavier oil in the middle of the lane. I wish I could give a better read on the ball but I'm not really up to speed yet. But this ball is now my favorite go to ball. Every time it hit the pocket it just ripped the rack. When I had an off hit it left an easy spare, no splits even though I deserved a few.

I finally can throw the ball the way I use to when the reactive balls first came out. This ball has a nice forgiveness if you throw it too far out wide, it comes roaring back. It carries everything, but have to worry sometimes I leave 7 pins now, instead of 10 pins. I have a 5" in pin out with the CG just to the right of the thumb hole and the Mass Bias to the right of that and the pin is located up and to the right of my ring finger. If you need a ball for oil and you throw hard then this is the ball!! I will purchase another one of these in a heart beat!!!!!!

This ball should probably only be uses by advanced bowlers. You are going to need some experience in order to controll it. This one ( have a 2nd that I want to get more games on it before it is reviews) was dilled with a 5 inch MB. Great hit, carries very well. I would say this ball is the Freak, but it rolls up a little sooner------and covers about 6-7 boards more. It is very consistant. If you are going to be unable to throw it, the ball will let you know early. In about 25-30 games I can honestly say I have only left about 6-7 ten pins. That is a low number for me.

I ended up ditching my Phenom for the attention it must have. This is a HIGH MAINTENANCE BALL, and must be cleaned more than any other ball I've ever had. And I don't mean just a good spray and wipe cleaning after bowling 3 games but a real good deep clean job on a spinner before your next time out. Note: most of my bowling is done on REALLY HEAVY OIL and my other balls didn't need to be cleaned as much. After awhile this ball left more corner pins than any ball I've ever owned. My Eraser Boost, X-Factor Duece, Top Fuel, Fear Factor and now my Lanemasters Deep Impact carried better than the Phenom ever could dream of. I even had it re-drilled (properly I may add) to suit my new stroke and release and I still left 10 and 7 pins all night long. I'd grab another ball and throw the same exact shot and BOOM, 10 in the pit. Nothing personal against Track but when a ball won't carry consistently and always has to be clean it's time for a new girl if ya know what I mean.

all in all, this ball will hook on heavy oil. the first time i tried the ball, the lanes were dry and the ball simply would not move;later, i found out the ball was just rolling out. i tried it on some oil next time and the ball reacted the way i wanted it to, which is a very strong arc. one thing i found out is that when the lanes start to brak down, TRY TO AVOID THE TRACK AREA because the ball will start to rollout, so i moved extreme inside and i got a few more games out of it.

I purchased this ball along with the Triple Threat. For the most part, I've used this ball for the first game or 2 of leagues. This is not a ball to use on a normal house shot. Very effective for the Friday night league that I bowl in where 4 different PBA patterns are used. When used for the right conditions, this is a great ball. Now the other guy that reviewed this ball...I have no idea what he was smoking at the time, but if you expect the ball to cover less than 5 boards you have some issues. Also, there is that thing known as polishing the ball. But why polish a heavy oil ball that has a dull finish? The ball is designed to hook a lot. It can easily cover a good 15 to 20 boards. For the inexperienced bowler, this is not a ball to purchase. Then again, the inexperienced ones normally won't play big hooks anyway as they're still learning about all that. All in all, this is a great ball to have in the arsenal when you run into floods and it cuts through carrydown with ea

the ball is the worst ball i have ever rolled, the first game i bowled a 124. i had it drilled 2" out and it just over reacted and scorched the lanes. if you can either speed up your throw or use no rev's than you wont be able to throw this ball. if you try to put it too far outside than it hits the soup and it looses all hook potential you have to get it perfect for it to acctually work. i hated this ball and i traded it in for a storm x factor duce. INEXPERIENCED BOWLERS DONT USE THIS BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
