Bought Equation and Apogee to replace my medium oil partners, Artillery and Revmaster. I've heard the Apogee was squirty but it was nothing compare to the Equation. I started out Equation with OBF Compund and a 4X4 to PAP layout where pin ended up above fingerline. I couldn't see any similaritys to the Artillery which also was Goo LS Compund surface. On the fresh shot the Equation skid uncontrolable on the oil and made a 90 dagree turn on the back end. At first it looked like I'd have to use Apogee on heavier side and this one on the drier side of medium but still, I wouldn't be able to keep consistency without a christmastree pattern to assist me. I think this set up would be perfect for THS or straight up 2:nd arrow players. So I changed to 3X3 to PAP layout and now the ball started to meat my needs. Still a bit skiddish and flippy but I at least could keep it near the pocket all the time. I was amazed by the flare it produces, the oil lines are progressively further in betwee

I have layout #6 on this ball and its perfect for house shots until about the third game when boards are fried. I stand 1 dot left of the center and throw it across the 8 board.. Works great until after about 17-20 frames then i adjust by moving 2.5 left(same mark), and keep doing that every 5 frames. Great filler ball for between Heavy oil and dry lanes, its like 2 balls in 1, but it might need coverstock after 2-3 months of heavy use as mine is starting to not carry so well anymor

Playin right in the oil swinging it out to the dry works awesome, it came sreaming back quickly. I noticed the way mine was drilled up it really didnt read well with if in the oil all the way down the lane, but once it hit the backend it hooked like none other. But thats not the line I plan on playing with this ball. So it does what I want for the line I want. I will now fill in for the minimum word crap. TRACK ROCKS!! TRACK ROCKS!! TRACK ROCKS!! I took this ball, had my pro shop guy drill it and was ready to shoot it in my league. The outsides were dry and I had to throw it too hard to keep it from crossing over. Then I went bowling the next day and wham. 1173 5-game series:232, 216,222,214, 289. I left one ten-pin, which wanted to go down anyway. I can't wait to use this ball some more. It has an aggressive turn that is predictable and absolutely shreds the rack. THis would be a great ball for anyone to carry in their bag.<scrip

Ball: Pin 4 1/2 from PAP inside of my ring finger...CG kicked out 1 inch to the right and weighthole on VAL 2 inches below my PAP. Lanes: I have tried the Equation on wood, synthetics and combination of guardian and wood. HOOK: Heavy Oil- The Equation is not a heavy oil ball. With its OOB surface it will skate and skate on a longer pattern. Med Oil- The Equation is best suited for medium oil. It clears the heads well and makes a turn as soon as it encounters friction down the lane. Light Oil- I believe you could get it to fit in the lighter side of mediums...but it is too strong for most bowlers to be used on light oil patterns. TOTAL HOOK: I am going to rate this ball on the higher end...but realize that most of its hook comes down the lane. I cannot recall even 1 shot I have thrown with this ball that it rolled too soon. 8 out of 10 Control: OOB this ball does not have control characteristics.....I think if it had a bit more surface that it would be e

15lbs drilled 4-1/2 X 3-1/2 "Med flare med skid & dramtic reaction at the breakpoint!" What an understatement! 39'Freshly oiled house pattern on wood lanes. Canby trios tournament. On the 15 throwing out over the 5 down and in. I toss the first one as the guy next to me throwing the Big One is stepping up. This thing slips though the oil like a hot butter knife and all of a sudden wham 45 degree charge for the pocket!! The fat lady screams! He says "what ball was that?!" as he returns after his 6,7-10 split. I say casually "oh that's Track's new Equation" Inside I'm wondering if I just broke some pins. The Big One made it to the fourth frame and the third split before it got put away, the Equation made it three games with minor adjustments before the Heat Blast took over. 212, 234, 219. they should have been even better games but my mind and my arm couldn't agree on whether the flaming t spare ball should hook or not! One things for sure the Equation is going to be a big hit this

I drilled this ball up with a 4 inch by 4 inch layout from my PAP (Positive Axis Point) with no weight hole needed. I tested this ball on a freshly oiled house show with a puddle in the middle. I was able to play a variety of positions on the lane without a problem with the Equation. This bowling ball cornered well when using an outside break point. When I moved the breakpoint inside, keeping it in the oil longer, the reaction was much more controlled. Next to my Heat Blast, the Equation has more length and backend. I will update as more test goes on. If you have any questions, please email me at Bill@BuddiesProShop.com Thanks, Bill BuddiesProShop.com "The Place All Bowlers Shop"

I was quite impressed with this ball. Contol off of the breakpoint was high, yet ball still seems to continue pretty well. I was really excited to throw this ball from looking at the specs. I have always had good success with the ceramicore balls (CM, CMCR, Synergy...) so this idea was great in my opinion. I drilled this ball with the pin 5 inches from the pap and 1 1/2 inches above the center line of my grip and the cg 3 inches from the pap. The balance hole was placed 3 inches from the center of my grip in an effort to create a touch earlier roll. This it seemed to do. I haven't ever tried this drilling before but I was impressed. This ball read the pattern pretty well and still seemed to have fairly good backend reaction. However, as the fronts dried up and the backends tightened up, this ball started to lose some go in the back. All in all, a pretty strong ball for the money!
