I had to get this ball since I have liked Storm equipment, I prefer low RG's, and it looked gorgeous. I drilled it up with the pin right at the upper edge of the ring finger, 1/2 oz positive side and thumb weight, no balance hole.

Since I first posted this review, I have had some time to compare this ball to my other equipment, in this case a Trauma ER and a funky old AMF XS White ball. I threw three different lines: 12 , 17, and 23 board, and alternated 2 frames with each ball to get the fairest comparison. The lane conditions were moderately messed up: normal house shot for the first half of the lane, but the back ends were clean in the middle with slicker stuff toward the outside, like a reverse block for back half.

As you would expect, the high-hooking Vertigo suffered on the outside lines, and the low-hook balls were much easier to get to the pocket. However, on the inside line, the Vertigo was the only ball that could turn the corner for a decent hit. It really had a

I just got back from the lanes after my first time using my vertigo. It is drilled with the pin above the ring finger and MB just right of my thumb. I bowled 257-235-227=719. My first 700. I could not be happier with the reaction I got. I had a good midlane read with a great backend and this thing drove through the pins like you would not believe. Not only that, but I could throw anywhere from first to fifth arrow with it, but my most consistent line was laying the ball down on about 18 over 12 out to 8ish and back. I missed right strike I missed left strike. I RECOMMEND THIS BALL TO ANYONE WHO LIKES TO STRIKE

Hence the Name Vertigo ( to turn). This ball does exactly that. I had mine drilled up with a 4 x 4 putting the RAD about 1" to the right and the pin above the ring finger. I'm a right hander. I bowl on both wood and synthetic. The wood having a more oily condition. Played 4 arrow out to about 8-9 and the ball would just absolutely explode the rack. On the other side of that, I also tugged a couple of shots and the ball sat up and held. By far the HARDEST hitting ball in the storm line and I've had quite a few of them. I've chose to leave the surface at the box finish. Definately want to put up once the shot breaks down, but if you have some ball speed you'll be able to throw it a little longer.

I drilled one of these for myself in Vegas. I needed a ball that would hook on the fresh in the Mini and this ball lived up to it when my Triple Xtreme just wouldn't quite get around the corner. The Vertigo had a similar ball motion thru the front of the lane as the Xtreme but the big difference was when the ball made its move it moved and kept going where my Xtreme seems to lag when the oil begins to carry down. I couldn't wait to throw this ball and now I know why. My PAP is 4 3/4 up 1/4. Track Diameter is 12. Layout: Pin 3 3/8 from PAP, RAD 5 from PAP. Pin is 1 1/2 above the midline of my grip. Target weighted the ball, so the balance hole was placed 2 1/4 from the center of grip thru cg and pitched 1 1/4 to the right with a 3/4 bit 3 inches deep. Drilled a 2nd one as follows: Pin 3 1/2 from PAP, RAD 4 3/4 from PAP, Pin 3 1/2 above midline of grip. Target weighted with the balance hole 4 inches form center of grip thru cg pitched an 1 1/4 to the right with a 1 3/64 hole

Bought this ball last saturday and tried it on our houselanes with lots of oil. The first 9 balls were pocket strikes. Henk drilled it with the pin under my ring finger and the RAD 1" to the right. I needed a little balance hole. The smell i didn't like but that's ok. I saw people hitting pockets with tons of hook with the xfactor but this is out of this world. Tried the outside arrow first and hit pocket after pocket. The good news was that it never left a 10 pin. This was something else. When the lane got dryer i went more to the left and hit the second arrow. Great ball

Had this ball drilled up by Mike Miller(PBA)at "10 Pins and More" in Rio Rancho, NM. Ball started out weighing 15lbs 3 oz with 3 oz top weight before drilling and a 2 1/2" pin. Laid ball out with pin just below ring finger(Right-Hander), RAD swung out 1/2" right of thumb, no weight hole, box condition. Threw ball on my typical house shot 38' buffed to 45' Synthetic up and around the 10 board(see profile for style), there is OB outside the 5 board. My benchmark ball is a XXX-Factor drilled pin above fingers and RAD swung out 1/2" right of thumb with comparable top weight as the Vertigo and I can tell you that on this shot the Vertigo easily outhooked it by a minimum of 10 boards to start and tamed down to about 8 boards difference after 12 games of practice. The ball is very aggressive throughout the entire lane. No matter how hard I tried, it was very difficult to get this ball to blow by the 1-3 pocket. If the ball got out too far it would come flying back, if I pulled it it would tr
