I was planning on starting with this ball at ABC's next month, plus I am planning on taking this in my arsenal to the Senior US Open in May. Hopefully I can get better "acquainted" with this ball and how it reacts in the next couple of weeks. Jury is still out on it for me, because it doesn't seem to react the way I set this ball up to be. This actually is my first "true" Storm product, though I really have thrown Dyno-Thane well, including using the Thing in Knoxville at ABC's a manage a paltry 756 in doubles (where was my doubles partner with his 598??). I hindsight, I wished I set these last two balls up opposite, because Brunswick balls seemed to arc better than Storm, and that seems to be the case here.

im very disapointed with storm or maybe with my proshop operator he drill the ball with the pin below fingers and the cg throw it away 1" that will suposed to hook alot.and the ball just roll roll but doesnt come back in the lane ... this ball has a good hit but leaves a lot ten pins and 8-10 splits thats very desapointed because y spent 240 dlls in this ball .. this ball rolls good but insuficient to make a comeback sharp reaction in heavy oil like storm says...the color is also awfull just dont combine with storm tradition i prefer the X factor deuce XXX or XXXTREME those balls really come back ... come on storm make a good strong backend ball for heavy oil!!!

I had this ball drilled out before a major tournament I was going to bowl in... I wasn't quite sure if I was going to use it or not cuz I had barely any practice with it and was still getting used to it... I took it to the tournament and it was insane the ball crushed the pocket over and over ... I put all my other stuff in the bag because this ball was so consistant and was very easy adjusting to the lane change... I ended up winning the tournament which scored me a trip to indianapolis for the junior olympic gold finals SWEET!!!! so this one's always gonna be special hopefully it holds out long unlike my reloaded which died pretty fast ... but anyway for any one looking for a good ball this is definetly one to go with it's great!

This ball hooks more than a boomerang. This thing starts up early and keeps going harder and harder. On heavy and long patterns this ball is an exelent choice. This ball also move very well with moderate carrydown and evens out patchy backends allowing a tougher shot made tougher by carrydown to the more open for error. If you have dry heads, you can almost forget about using it, it will hook too much, even on some medium length patterns the ball starts up in the oil and snaps like none other on the dry backend. good oil ball, but just too needy of heavy oil

The X-Factor may be the greatest line in bowling and the Vertigo sums up that for a fact. I haven't had a Storm ball in about a year, but the Vertigo made me go back to them after playing around with Columbia. I have never seen the ball hook as hard as the Vertigo. As soon as I released the ball, it turned and went onto the brooklyn side. I said to myself "HOLY $%!@". It has the best hook of any oil balls that I have ever seen. The pin action is great, the hook is violent and the it hits like mack truck. What is not to like about this ball. The fragrance (Amaretto) is a great fragrance for the ball, but that's not the most important part of the ball, the most important part in my opinion are the revs and the hitting power. This ball defines revs and hitting power. This is a great ball for any bowler that wants a big hook, or for those crankers like myself, it would just give me a little extra revs I would recomend this ball to absolutely anyone, thats how good the ball reall

I am not a scientist or technician when it comes to balls. I don't even look at arrows. I stare at the foul line when I throw the ball. It is all about muscle memory when it comes to bowling. All I know about this ball is that it is really agressive. You have to have ball speed when you throw this ball. I just get it out to the 3 board with me over the 35th board or so. This ball reads the lane very well. Carries very well when you come in light and when you look like you shank it the ball does not flip aggresively at all for a nice smooth arch into the pocket. You honestly can not miss with this ball if you are anythiing of a bowler.

I liked this ball so much that I had to get another one. Had this ball drilled up by Mike Miller(PBA)at "10 Pins and More" in Rio Rancho, NM. Ball started out weighing 15lbs 3 oz with 3 oz top weight before drilling and a 3 1/2" pin. Laid ball out with pin just above and between the finger(Right-Hander), RAD swung out 1/2" right of thumb, weight hole 6" from CG, Polished with Storm Reacta-shine. Threw ball on my typical house shot 38' buffed to 45' Synthetic up and around the 10 board(see profile for style), there is OB outside the 5 board. My benchmark ball is a XXX-Factor drilled pin above fingers and RAD swung out 1/2" right of thumb with comparable top weight as the Vertigo and I can tell you that on this shot the Vertigo easily outhooked it by a minimum of 8-10 boards to start and tamed down to about 7-8 boards difference after 6 games of practice. The ball with this type of drilling is very aggressive on the backend portion of the lane and much more angular. Very different than

First expensive ball I bought and I'm not regretting it. (I got a Monter Frenzy and hated it). The color is awesome. I hate those sissy rainbow colored balls (sorry X-Factor Ace). The smell is great. I bowl on a co-ed league so almost everyone shoots straight with plastic balls in this league. And sincec they don't know high quality balls no one believed that this ball smells. They think I sprayed something on it. I've been always partial to Storm's X-Factor line. Just waiting for a ball that work well in heavy oil but won't limit me to just playing in heavy oil. I got this drill kinda aggressive. Pin next to my ring finger and the rad about 2" to the left of my thumb hole. I bowl on really heavy oil lanes and have had problems leaving lots of 5 pins. I would throw my last 15# ball straight up the 3rd arrow and it would hit the pocket flush but bounce off leaving the 5 pin standing alot. I needed something that would grip the lanes! This ball is the ticket! Right after I got i

My first four games with this ball were 224, 300, 280, and 204. This ball has an amazing hook without losing energy when entering the pocket. The reactive covertock gives the ball amazing control and predictable movement through out the lane, certainly one of the best products by STORM I recommend this ball for bowlers looking for a strong hook with amazing power, it works perfect for hi rev players and for those loking for some extra revs. This ball gives the X FACTOR series the final touch to become the best series of balls for high performance players This is one of my favorite balls of all times

This ball is a percect hit for any medium to heavy oil shot! This ball just has trendmous roll and hitting power. I had this ball drilled by jake at J&^J Bowling Supply (Jaros) and I played two games after a legue was finished and bowled a 202 and a 207! I enjoy this ball since it just goes straight through the oil like nothin! It also hits hard in the back decking any pin out there! A few words of caution though, don't put the ball to far out to the poin it can't come back or to far in where it can drive hard (My mistakes). Overall this ball is the top Storm ball and best ball on the market for the medium to heavy oil shot! (I will update soon on different shots!) UPDATE: This ball hooks like a bitch in the dry. You have to be very careful on that. On the oil, wich I have seen LITTLE of it does well. It finishes great and clears the heads strong.. I would go and buy this ball if you need to kill the oil

ive been wanting this ball since reading about it when robert smith was throwing it...finally it was out and i was the first youth around here to get one and i am proud. this ball is great, it really has some hitting power and allows me to play some lane while keeping my ball speed up to where i like it. before i even started throwing it was polished and would still go longer and come back hitting even harder. storm really made a great ball for anyone with higher ball speed looking for a ball to open up the lane.

I had to get this ball since I have liked Storm equipment, I prefer low RG's, and it looked gorgeous. I drilled it up with the pin right at the upper edge of the ring finger, 1/2 oz positive side and thumb weight, no balance hole. Since I first posted this review, I have had some time to compare this ball to my other equipment, in this case a Trauma ER and a funky old AMF XS White ball. I threw three different lines: 12 , 17, and 23 board, and alternated 2 frames with each ball to get the fairest comparison. The lane conditions were moderately messed up: normal house shot for the first half of the lane, but the back ends were clean in the middle with slicker stuff toward the outside, like a reverse block for back half. As you would expect, the high-hooking Vertigo suffered on the outside lines, and the low-hook balls were much easier to get to the pocket. However, on the inside line, the Vertigo was the only ball that could turn the corner for a decent hit. It really had a
