I've got to start off by saying I didn't plan on buying this ball,I already have my Arsenal Aggressive as my Oil ball. But Bowlingball.com had these for 69.99 shipped.I thought they had to be blems or something, but I took a chance and ordered one.To my surprise, this ball not only was first quality, but had pretty good specs(3 oz top wt and 3.5'' pin).So Stormed299 drilled this one with the pin over the ring finger about 4" from my PAP and the RAD by the thumb in the strong position about 3.5" from my PAP.This is actually the first"high end ball" I've had.I usually stick with mid-priced stuff. In box finish this ball rolled early and made it look like I had grown a hand. I have medium speed and a lower rev rate, but I couldn't get used to the over/under of this ball.I adjusted the surface with a light burgundy pad and a coat of Track Magic Shine .It still revs up much easier than any ball I've ever owned, but with the slight shine on it,it gets that little extra two or three feet of push tha

Got a Trifecta after having no luck with the EPX and some dissatisfaction with the scorchin' inferno. Bought this ball specifically for Heavy Oil. Specs are 2oz top weight and 1in pin. Drilled pin to pap distance of 3.75" CG just below midline. Down hole on PAP line. Out of the box this balled rolled similar to both the EPX and scorchin' (and powerdrive). At first, I was a little ticked because I was informed that this ball would turn. I went ahead and scotch-brite green pad, and what a difference!!! Ball is now a hook monster. I previously played 14 to 5, but this ball now wants to play 25 to 5. It rolls nicely and comes back to the pocket from an angle that none of my other balls could even hope to return from. I'm now a firm believer in cover preparation. Basically this ball went from 800 grit to 250 grit, which I didn't think was much, but the results were stunning. It also explains why this ball seemed like a dud with the factory finish compared to the epx (500 g

I have been bowling with Storm for about 4 years now and still going strong. Here is my review. Drill Specs: 4 1/2" pin with thumb weight, this ball is a pro-pin ball with 6" pin. Hook: I will say this, this ball does hook. I usually play about 17 board out to about 7 or 8 board and the ball comes roaring back, the downfall however is that with what I noticed after about 30 to 40 games the ball starts to lose it's power. You must clean this ball after use every time or it will die on you. Reaction: The reaction on this is somewhat good to a certain extent. I notice with the Trifecta is that the ball can be unpredictable. I practice on one lane one time threw three perfect shots and one underhook, then overhooked, then 10 in the pin. The biggest downfall is the softness of the ball. This ball is so soft that I noticed track marks after about 15 games where as with my rock-on it has about 150 games on it and barely any track marks. I would still recemmend this ball, but y

I thought I'd give an update on this ball. It just gets better and better. After 8 more series with this ball 10 total, I've averaged 233 for the month of march. I can actually use this ball when it dries out. Actually, my third game is usually the best. All you have to do is move inside where what's left of the oil is and the pins are gone! I am buying another one to stash for next year. I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really hate 100 word mins.<s

The Trifecta smells great, I actually do smell it sometimes while going through my pre shot routine. The ball is very controllable even with very aggressive drilling. I throw around first arrow most times and this ball just needs some oil to look like a 747 coming in for a landing. It makes a nice smooth transition into the pocket and the pins are either gone or flying everywhere. This is a very forgiving ball on all but the worst throws. Almost never leaves a split. One week after my first one I ordered my second one so I could have it drilled just a touch less aggressive for when the lanes hit that med - dry time.

I have only 6 games on this ball , shot 693 and 780 so far. It held the same line for every game. Rolls smooth through the heads and continues when it hits the back end. I Had 31 of 36 strikes for the 780. With a little luck, that could very well of been a 900. I left only two ten pins. My fault though. This hits like a runaway train. Already made my money back on it on 2 nights. Very nice addition. This is the first ball in years that went to work right away out of the box.

This is one of the most veristile balls I've ever seen or used. I needed a ball to play inside since most of my balls were designed to go either straight or swing the outside with so I figured I would try this ball out since my dad wasn't using it. I love this ball because if it throw it too far out, it will still come back to the pocket. If you miss high though you will probably leave something ugly. Only use when there is medium-high or high amounts of oil. The smell is great as is usual from Storm. I think I may try the Paradigm Passion to replace this ball if I get sick of it

I needed a big hooking / heavy oil ball. I found this one on ebay, so for $140 total I got Storm's biggest hooking ball. It is 3rd on bowlingball.com's perfect scale. It is drilled with more weight in the fingers to snap hard on the backend. Did I say snap hard? I meant VIOLENT! I have never been able to play this far inside! I have never had so much fun bowling as bad as I did the 1st night I used it. Right away I was playing inside left dot thru middle of the 3rd and 4th arrows. It would go long and just hammer the pins. I quickly found out how much I vary my speed as sometimes it would go too long or too short! I never had to adjust though. As the oil carried towards the back the reaction just became more even. After 30 games I had to re-dull the surface with scotch-brite. I did this after every night of bowling - this is the only way I could keep it hooking! Pain in the ass. I am done with dull, particle, oil eating balls.

Really like the ball.. On a sport shot - shot 635 (much better than ususal)... On my first house shot - rolled 740 (257, 226, 257). I will be using the Paradigm on lighter shots. I have a very firm release and found varieties of shots to play.. Very predictable. 1st Storm ball in a few years and outdoes my Hybrid Dirty Bomb and is more forgiving than my Quantum Raven (old school), and more predictable than my Rule GP2. Will see it's thrid house today. Lighter oil, but should be able to swing this without much issue.. Ball is well worth the cash! I may buy another for a back up (once the ball dies)....

I was bowling for my league the other day and the backends were gone, plan and simple. I couldn't get the balls to get to the pocket. Literally. I thought about the arsenal that I have and said to myself to try the Trifecta. I have to ball drilled to hook out of my hand. The ball moves nice and early and keeps on going and hits just as hard as the VERTIGO. First ball I throw goes right to the pocket and pins are flying. I throw a 299 out of the box with this ball. The ball moves well in oil and that is exactly what you want them to do.

I have my trifecta drilled to go long, pin above ring finger, and it really likes the inside part of the lanes as if you venture out to the dry boards it really hooks alot and often leaves nasty splits. On the inside track however it really maintains its line to the pocket well. Great ball for those heavier conditions. I would recommend this ball because of its versatility on medium and heavier patterns. Great when the X-Factor Ace just isn't enough. Beware, when the lanes start drying out put the ball away or move way inside. I can't give this ball as good of a rating as I'd like but maybe i'll reedit in time and give it more of a chance.

This ball has many different drilling options. I wanted a strong ball that would generate a ton of backend reaction. Well I got what I wanted and then some. This thing is basically a Vertigo with snow tires for those of who haven't thrown this thing yet. My stacked trifecta outhooks everything in my bag except my paradigm. If you want a strong ball for oily lanes this is it. This is still one of my favorite bowling balls as it still performs after quite a few games. I threw a 300 with a track and came back next game after having to move and threw a 279 with this ball. I can just find my rhythm with this ball it fits my style. Great ball!!! 2 thumbs up!!!

I delayed posting a review of this ball, because I wanted to give it a fair chance at proving me wrong, from my initial feelings. My rating of this ball did come up from what I was going to rate it after I put a slight polish on the coverstock. (I would've rated it a 6). The factory surface of this ball cause the ball to grip the lane nearly as soon as the ball touched the surface. The ball would quickly hook and basically roll out into the pocket. I am definitely not one for the roll-out shot. With the polish, I was able to delay this early roll a bit, and my scores went up, but I still found the ball to grab too early. If you have the right condition and you can constantly hit the pocket, you will score with this ball. It has incredible striking power. I just find it a whole lot LESS FORGIVING than the X-Factor ACE, which I adore. If this ball his a dry spot, you're basically up the creek without a paddle. Can you said wide-open split? Sure, most agressive balls will do m

An outstanding ball for tweeners and strokers, especially on medium to heavier oil conditions. I am amazed at how hard this ball hits. I rolled a 299 and a 243 game with the Trifecta in just my third series. Tends to have more of an arc than the new Vertigo, which tends to have more of a backend snap. Carries the corner pins very well, but does tend to leave more 9 pins and 4-9 splits, especially if you slow it down a hair. I would definitely recommend this ball to anyone who is looking for a higher strike percentage on heavy conditions. Storm has raised the bar once again and is quickly establishing themselves as the leader in high performance technology.

Had this ball drilled up by Mike Miller(PBA)at "10 Pins and More" in Rio Rancho, NM. Ball started out weighing 15lbs 3 oz with 3 oz top weight before drilling and a 3" pin. Laid ball out with pin just above the bridge(Right-Hander), RAD swung out 1/2" right of thumb, x-weight hole, polished up to 1200. Threw ball on my typical house shot 38' buffed to 45' Synthetic up and around the 10 board(see profile for style), there is OB outside the 5 board. My benchmark ball is a XXX-Factor drilled pin above fingers and RAD swung out 1/2" right of thumb with comparable top weight as the Trifecta and I can tell you that on this shot the Trifecta easily outhooked it by a minimum of 10 boards to start and tamed down to about 8 boards difference after 12 games of practice. The ball is very aggressive throughout the entire lane. No matter how hard I tried, it was very difficult to get this ball to blow by the 1-3 pocket. If the ball got out too far it would come flying back, if I pulled it it would

Excellent Ball from STORM, Opens the lane up, You don't have to put a lot of hand in this ball, just let it roll. The more you turn it the more it hooks. Ball keeps driving does not quit like some brands. Nice smell also, not real strong like some other balls from STORM. I have this ball drilled up with the pin over the ring finger (right handed) played with it for a couple of games to see what it would do and if it would roll out. I was amazed that this ball did not quit or squirt on heavy oil. Once the lanes start drying up put it away or change your hand position with less finger. Trifecta is like a truck it just keeps rolling and rolling. Awesome ball for oil.

This ball is like a dream, it is a magnet to the pocket. The trifecta is extremely versatile and also very predictable. The trifecta is much better than the vertigo!!!! If you like the Storm X-factor Ace, and the vertigo........THEN GET THIS BALL SOON!!!!-Trust me it is worth it!!!!!! The trifecta is the ACE and the VERTIGO combined!!!! IT IS A MONSTER!!!!!!!!!! This ball has a nice smooth predictable roll, and is very forgiving. It seems to rev up really well and hit pretty hard!!!! The first time i rolled it i shot 635 .....193, 213, 229!!!! Not bad for the first time using it!!!! I would recommend drilling this ball with a backend layout, no X-hole!!!! I throw this ball 16-17 mph between 3rd and 4th arrow on the right side on a heavy oil shot!!!! Shoot you know what is better than 1 trifecta???-2 Trifectas!!!!! Oh and one more thing to all of you who are dis'in this ball because it leaves too many splits......COME ON!!!!!! --It is all the entry in to the pocket, not the bowling ball

Drilled ball to arc. Pin at about 3 3/8 from PAP, CG about 2 from PAP, mass bias on PAL. The design of the ball is to smooth out over under reactions, especially on very fresh backends, and it does that very nicely. On a 39 foot sport condition, which proved verry jumpy on the backends, it rolls up very nice. Compared to the Vertigo on the same shot, the overall hook is similar, with the Vertigo violently flipping on the backend, and the Trifecta rolling up nice in the midlane and finnishing smoothly. Overall this ball proves a comfortable option on a variety of shots with the even roll and the predictability of reaction shape, it excels on a jumpy backend.

I bought this ball for the sake of heavy oil condition as the house I play is loaded with lots of oil. People playing there often ask the laneman to put oil as soon as the lanes dry out and consequently the lanes are very oily. This ball gives me what I expect. It starts to turn as soon as it hits the dry area. Unfortunately, as the ball roll out sooner as expected in case the lane dries out. it leaves quite a lot of splits. I guess this is also the result of not putting enough rev on the ball when I release the ball. Anyway, anyone who looks for a ball that works well on heavy oil, this ball is well considered.
