Have had this ball since August 04. I primarily bowl on wood lanes and this ball is just to strong for this condition until there is some carry down and then I can open up the lanes and hold a line. Bought one for my wife and applied a weaker layout so she can use down and in with excellent results. Core allows for variety of different layouts. Storm has produced another winner. ACCU-tread cover is outstanding and adjusts easily with polish or scuff pads. My layout provides for angular entry. p O O h cg O mb PAP is 5 3/4 over 3/4 up. Small weight hole on PAP. I typically throw a high inverted track and this layout has really worked well for me. Keeps the ball from flairing out over the finger holes and provides me with good control on most conditions. Highly reccomend you "Go All In" if you need a ball to open up the lanes and are looking for a pearlized particle reactive ball. This one is outstandi

This ball is one of the best on the market for what it can do. Throw it in the heavy oil and it comes back. Have fun with it in the dry and throw it coast to coast. The ball hits like a Mack Truck and clears the deck...nothing but pin shrapnel. The "Ace" is the only ball you need in your deck...or bag that is!!! Storm is the best your money can buy. Why waste your time with Track, Columbia, Brunswick, and AMF equipment when you can buy better and more reliable equipment from Storm. Storm on!!! Take a look at the balls on the rack in the league you bowl in and count how many are from Storm and the competition.

Great hitting power, very controllable and forgiving. This is the ball you goto first...reads the break point very well. Smells cool, looks cool, not a damn thing wrong with it, I'll be drilling another soon enough. Idiots who say it hooks to much....thats not a dislike morons!!! They are asking on your normal condition. I have 1 dislike, it eats oil but its still the best at reading the lanes. Learn to bowl ladies!!blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. i hate this 100 word garbage. this is ridiculous god damn it!

Got a hold of a second Ace (this time a fifteen-pounder, 3" pin, 2.6 oz. top), drilled pin above ring finger 4 7/8" from PAP, CG 3 1/2" from PAP, RAD between thumb and strong (a.k.a. a benchmark layout). I want to thank Lizcano's Pro Shop in Toledo, Ohio for drilling this ball. I tested the Ace on a pair that had been used by an early-morning ladies league (broken heads with carrydown). First game out of the gate I rolled 279 (solid 4-pin in the seventh frame!). Rolled this ball in league play at Harbor Freeway Lanes later the same evening, and the Ace was way too aggressive on the backend during shadow balls, despite getting some decent length and read! Switched to the Depth Charge for a straighter trajectory and a tamer backend. After two games, I then decided to give the Ace another try, standing on 30 and aiming between 15 and 20. Finished the last game with seven strikes for a score of 246 and a respectable 659 series. This Ace (versus the sixteen-pounder from last Octobe

Well like I said the X-Factor Ace has the first Accu-thread pearl particle coverstock on any storm ball. Reasons why it may be better than a reactive accu-thread, the ball has more tac too it so it grips harder on the backend of the lane, remember its pearlized so it goes long and comes back strong. The RAD3 tripple disc weight block is the newest creation for storm too put in thier highend balls. What this weight block does is, it will make the ball start reading the lane and start to rev in the middle then the ball gets too the backend and shifts all the weight to the left with a killer angle then snaps in a destroys the 1-3 pocket. The way I play this ball is, I stand 20-25 with my feet, my eyes look at 20 at the arrows sometimes deeper. The ball rolls from thier about 4th arrow to about 7 board and rips back to the rack. Keep in mind I throw about 16mph and am a stroker. From what I understand it may be a simular reaction compared too the XXX-Factor. But

I haven't thrown a storm ball since i got hooked onto the inferno line by brunswick. My last storm ball was the X-Factor Reloaded and that ball was simply amazing. Everytime I throw this ball i feel like im throwing a stronger version of the reloaded. The balls are both pearl-particle, but the ace is far more aggresive. The ball is an animal and doesn't lose any energy whatsoever because of its shiny finish. It feels good to have a ball that i can stand left of 30 and it still recovers strong into the pocket. Im still learning this ball and I still need to understand when to and when not to use the ball. So far I've thrown some nice scattered games at howell, shore, country and ocean lanes. If the ball becomes too aggresive on the lanes and every adjustment you make doesn't seem to work then i advice switching balls immediatly. It cost me some nice games because of that wicked snap the balls obtains. If my Ace hooks too hard in the backend then i take out my blazing inferno. The pin an

In this ever changeing world of bowling balls(and I buy several every season) right now the X factor Ace is by far the best ball on the market!!! (in my opinion) I currently own and use the triple X, Recharge and of course the all and powerful Ace!! The power this ball has on the backend is really something to behold!! I love it when a ball looks as if it stops but yet continues to rotate and then Bam takes off like a bat out of hell and sends the pins flying!! You die hard bowlers know what I mean!!! If you plan on getting this ball, make sure you practice with it before league or tourney play. For some reason the ball will not work correctly until you get a game or two on it. Needs to absorb a little oil first!! Me thinks they shined it too much!! Anyways It's perfect for Heavy to Medium oil conditions with little or no change in your mark. Unless your He-Man put it away when they dry out cause this baby will hook in the next lane!!<s

Pin above ring finger, 4 1/2 inches from PAP, RAD in Strong position, small balance hole drilled off the PAL. 3/4 roller with ball speed between 15.5 to 16.8 mph I currently own three Storm balls - TripleX, Fear Factor, and the Storm ACE. This ball is a perfect match for my game. I have been bowling right handed for only 10 weeks now (bowled left -handed for 1.5 years due to injury - bicep tendon detachment and torn bicep). The ACE has gotten me back into the game. Have had the Ball three weeks, and have bowled five 600+ series (one was a 645) with it, and one 594 series. I was carrying a 167 league average, but this is climbing each week with the ACE. This ball likes the oil, so expect to make some adjustments in the 3rd game if you want to keep it on your side of the lane. If you haven't tried this ball, you are missing out. Looking for a 700 series with the ACE as my right arm gets a little more controllable.

The ace is the greatest hitting ball storm put out. Its versatile on any condition and send messengers all over the deck. I drilled the ball to go long with a snap. I love the pin above and between the fingers with the cg and rad bumped out and stacked...skid flip. Any bowler who's struggling with their game will be amazed when you throw the ace... your average and game will increase. Trust this ball... my good friend told me to pick up the ball, but i told him that iam not a cranker...iam a stroker! He said that he threw a 750 right out of the box and it will work for me... I threw a 714 and 736 right out of the box at 2 different lanes... so go out and pick it up and you will love it.... trust me

Covering Reaction: To describe this ball in one word would be surprising. I have to admit this may be one of the strangest ball I have ever owned or seen, and for many reasons. First off this ball, depending on the condition, can either be very arcy or very angular. I have noticed that on longer patterns with heavier amounts of oil, especially on the outside, this ball is very arcy, not much jerk in its reaction. However, when the backends are 99% gone, this ball will create a violent snap, and can be hard to control at this point. However, the reaction on this ball is still a consistant, moderate reaction perfect for medium oiled lanes of all types, and can easily handle more or less, just not the extremes. This ball also works great on shots that have broken down in very patchy or inconsistant ways... Covering Hit/Carry: Now let me warn you, the carry on this ball is beyond any ball I have ever seen before in my life. I have gotten some 4 and 5 baggers that most likely would

Best ball I've ever used! I've been a Brunswick or Ebonite bowler and this ball has changed me to a Storm bowler. I can't believe how this ball hooks in the back end and hits like a freight train! Very forgiving, versital and awesome to contol! That's perfect for me. Being a down and in bowler, I have to move a lot of boards to keep up with the lanes. Be prepared to move and maybe change your mark a bit to get this to work well. Getting a spare ball for ten pins would be a great idea with this ball too.

Layout: 3 1/2 (pin to PAP) x 4 3/4 (rad to PAP), Pin 2 1/4 above midline, 15/16 balance hole in VAL drilled 3 inches deep. I have quickly become a big fan of the X-Factor line. Now that I use Asymmetrical layouts I find I get the exact reaction I expect once I choose the layout for that reaction. The Ace gives me a perfect fit between my Triple Extreme (great on heavy oil) and Triple X (great on medium oil). I find when the Triple Xtreme begins to hook a little to early that the Ace is my next ball to go to. I also, took my ACE and scuffed it up with a grey scotch pad on the spinner. This greatly increased the overall hook, but still not as strong as the Xtreme.

While I couldn't give this ball a 10, I did rate it a 9 for its great reaction when it meets the pins. Rarely does it leave any standing when the Ace enters the pocket. Although I did leave a pocket 7-9 (lefty) which I haven't left in at least 1000 games. This ball is highly effective on a heavier oil shot although they advertise it for medium conditions but trust me you will end up paying if you over use it on this type of condition. On a fresh medium oil house shot this ball is good for 7-12 frames but PUT it away and pull out something more readable for games 2-3. I have been burned a few times now and ruined what shouldve been some decent series. The Ace will break VERY hard in the backends which is what shatters the pins when it meets the pocket but when it becomes too unpredictable when the oil starts to push down swich to something less agressive. Overall, go out and buy this ball, it will come in handy when your opponents are griping about how the lanes are t

I think the pearl ACCU-Tread base with the medium particle load is pure genius. Although I don't own the Triple Xtreme, the Ace has a clean start through the heads, giving it slightly better length without sacrificing the overall performance on heavier amounts of oil. This ball is a definite improvement over the Re-Loaded... I had my Ace (a light sixteen-pounder with nearly four ounces of top weight) drilled 4 1/2" X 2" (pin over ring finger, RAD at sixty degrees on the VAL) with a 3/4" diameter X-hole on my axis point. This layout provided length with good roll and an early, yet readable breakpoint. Versatility is one of the Ace's strengths. I could hug the middle with a little speed, or I could send this ball out to the channel and watch it turn back hard to the hole. The carry was absolutely tremendous; there were a lot of messengers dancing on both flush and light hits. Rolled a 289 in my second game of practice (first ten with a solid 4-pin). Overall, the Ace is

Drilled the ball with the pin under ring finger. Ball made it threw the heads with ease and made a enormous move to the pocket. Did not carry 10 Pin for 6 frames than I just moved a little left and came in at a better angle and it started carrying everything. Shot 700 first night with it. Hits harder than any X-factor I have ever thrown. I did have to move about 2 boards right each game but that is normal. I would say if you were thinking about getting this ball to go out and get it. You should not be dissapointed. Another Great ball from storm.

Got this ball drilled up last friday by Mike Miller of "10 pins and More" in Rio Rancho, NM. Mike and his family own and operate this center in my hometown. The ball is drilled stacked leverage with a small weight hole, 3 1/2" pin above ring the finger. This ball has excellent midlane and a very continous motion through the pins. As to date of all the X-Factors I have owned (and yes, I have owned every one of them) this is the most aggressive and strongest. In fact this ball has allowed me to sell my Re-Loaded and Fear Factor.

ace was drilled leverage pin high above ring finger ball pin out 4-5 mb strong 3 3/4 from pap for this boweler who has a spinner release sm wt hole 2" beyond his pap. compared to his x factor and xxx this ball has much more overall hook and easy length the backend was amazing. hitting power seems on par with other x factor balls. i recommend this ball to anyone who wants open up the lane on a tight shot. thanks to storm for the early release. i you need a particle pearl and you want recovery this is the ball. 10 out of 10
