Got my THUNDERSTRUCK drilled pin below bridge, cg out positive with an x-hole in the lower, thumb quadrant. Wanted this for fresh lanes with plenty of oil up front and moving backends. Ball clears the heads very easily as long as there is any oil there. Even choppy heads didn't seem to adversely affect this much. Midlane transition is smooth and predictable, easy to see where this one is going to react. Backends are very readable and predictable, but surprisingly strong. Carry is as good as anything else I have used lately. One thing that I did find, for me at least, was the THUNDERSTRUCK likes to be released in more of a rolling motion than a sideturn motion. WHen I used sideturn much, the ball got more length, but the backends got a little harsh and unpredictable. Not a bad thing, if you need the length and the extra "pop" for carry, but you will have to be very consistent with that sideturn type release, or at least I would. May just be that the sideturn releas

Well. I drilled this baby up to bowl at Herril Lanes in NYC. The lane are very dry and they call on all your bowling skills. This ball was just flat out of the box. I never really felt comfortable with any adjustments. The ball just did not react the way I wanted it. I am a 220 bowler on a tough condition so I know how to make a ball work. This ball is now retired and will be sold on ebay. Well. I drilled this baby up to bowl at Herril Lanes in NYC. The lane are very dry and they call on all your bowling skills. perfect ball for almost anyone, but its a storm. known for great balls this one was no exception. i i used this ball to shoot 222 222 221 for a 665 series the first time. the first one was drilled 5x5 and it was just too long even for my moderate to slower speed and the second was a label drill and that was perfect, not a machine to dectec mistakes like some balls i have used (big shot, Fury, ultimate inferno) but thats really not a balls job to do. even afger a track started to develope, the ball still reacted excellent and responded to resurfacing real well

Well, it’s been a few months since I got my Thunderstruck Solid… I have to say that this is my new favorite ball. I was sure right away, but I figured I would give it a few months and let that new ball syndrome fade away. I am not sure if it has faded away yet because I still feel the same way as when I first got it. To recap what Jeff Carter said in his review, this is my ultimate league ball. I can use this ball straight up with a little side roll or I can put more turn on it and swing it out and bank it off the dry boards. Right now I am using this ball most of the time except for really oily conditions or funky backends. In that case, I switch to my Special Agent and just roll through it. As long as there is some kind of backend, I can use this ball and just figure out where to stand. As mentioned in the other reviews, this ball is very clean through the front part of the lane and makes a nice hard/controllable move on the back. For me, this is the perfect balance of performa

This ball is my number 1 go to ball when i get in trouble. Im able to throw this ball whenever i please. I can get it to read early on the oil and set up nicely and if they become scorched i can move deep in and score. This ball and the pearl go with me everywhere. They are the best balls i have ever thrown from storm. The greatest thing is they are not overly expensive. I would highly recommend these balls to any cranker. They jus roll so well. I have hardly any side weight or finger weight in either one of mine and they roll absolutely great. Everybody needs one of these balls

This will be the black thunder or cuda c of the current crop of balls. Clean through the heads hard(very hard) hook on the back end. Not really a snap, but not just a roll either. It jus flat out gets the job done. I am throwin mine right out of the box with a 4X4 drilling, with the pin below the fingers, and the c.g. in the thumb quadrent. Kinda an early drilling, but it ignores the heads, then get's to work. If this ball isn't strong enough for you, you need help. The pattern I'm on is only 32 feet, and I have a good amount of rotation. I can't throuw my other strong stuff, because it hooks too soon. This ball is the one ball you can play most anything with if you can lessen your rotation. If you are a bowler who only wants to carry one ball, and be competitive you should really consider this one.

THE THUNDER HAS STRUCK AND HERE COMES THE RAIN.This Ball Reads the mid-lane well with a smooth arc to the hole. Storm has really proved themselves with this ball in carrydown, it goes through it very readable and smooth, no over-under reactions what so ever. I have a weak drilling with a high track and it is perfect for most conditions. This ball is very versatile with its early and even roll and is alot of ball for the money. Compares to the Monster Bruiser and Hot Rod Hybrid well. With 12 games on the ball, low set was 749.

A must have for any bowler the factory polish can be sanded down with a green scotch brite pad for heavier oil and this ball is just awesome. Hits like a truck just as hard as the agent with out the extreme angle. I do not have any real extreme layout on the ball and the ball just flat out works. Took it to a tournament this past weekend and it worked beutifully. It is a great complement to the Agent, Pyro, and Passion that I have in my arsenal. I am pretty sure that I will be getting the pearl version of this ball as well. Just another great ball from Storm.
