RAD Ingenious in design, the RAD (Radial Accelerating Dual Density Disk) Motion Control Technology generates a differential of .013 between the "Y" and "Z" axis. WEIGHT BLOCK Comprised of lighter materials this weight block works in tandem with its unique shape to enhance the influence of the RAD. REV BLOCK Achieving a lower radius of gyration and optimum entry angle is accomplished by anchoring the rev block to the bottom of the weight block. COVERSTOCK Using 33% less MICA than other pearlized reactive coverstocks, the ACCU-Tread™ Mystic Pearl contains a balanced uniformity which increases overall consistency and unleashes explosive backend energy.
OK this ball was great out of the box, dont get me wrong. I got the ball and it hit so hard and then it slowly got dull i polished it up and nothin it continued to die. i sanded it, nothing i did every thing i could but it just didn't go back to it's prime. i had to give this to a freind and then go buy a buzzsaw XL. this is a great ball if you can keep it up. if you are going to clean it dont use cleaners use water cuz i used some cleaner and it was probably why it died.

When I was getting ready for a big tournament in high school I needed a ball that I could really crank down the lane. So I picked the x factor. Once I got used to it, I was ready for the tournament. In the nine games I bowled a 216, 233, 197, 242, 186, 211, 237, 228, and a 204! This became a 1954 series and a 217 average! The ball felt so good when it came out of my hand. Since gettin the x facotr I have a 184 in my first league, a 170 in my second league, and a 191 in my third league. This is good considering that I am only 14 years old!<scrip

This ball has to be the best ever made by any company. When I first go it I had it resonably dull, and was able to play just about anywhere on the lane with it, without sacraficing my carry. Recently I wet sanded it up to about 1500, and tripple polished it, in hopes of making it go so long that it almost wouldn't hook. I got the job done, and now it goes so long that the heads have to be completly shot in order for me to throw this ball. Even though it is an aggressive ball with this polish on it, it manages to get through the baked heads, and make the best turn ever at the end of the lane. The X-Factor is simply amazing, and is definatly the winning factor in any situation.

Great backend. If you through it too far left(left handed) the ball comesback. On medium to heavy oil I through it from the 22nd board all the way to the edgeofthe lane and comes back. Some timethe backend is too good in medium oil and leaves a lot of 7-10 splits. Onheavyoil it ispretty good. I suggest 45 feet for the oil on the lane. If I shotit straight on the first arrow it will hook so much that it will just hook in the gutter. I love this ball very much. When I tried it for the first time, I did not want to buy anymore a newer ball. <scri

If u are looking for a very versitile ball, you will be pleasantly surprised with the X-Factor by storm. This ball can be thrown on a variety of patterns and you can find success if you are a good enough bowler. Bowled my fist 300 with this ball about 4 months after i had drilled it. Ball is very durable but recently died out so i just have to drill another one. Storm bowling is the only way to go. I have found their products to be among the best out there. just filling space, just filling space, just filling space

I had the first ball didnt set the drilling up the way the ball liked it had the mass bias to far away from the thumb hole. The ball skidded and skidded never could get back. So I traded the ball and ended up picking up another one set the pin drilling up the same but put the mass bias directly under the thumb hole and the ball works great never give this one away. Also you must keep this ball shinney at all times or it does not get the length it needs to generate the back end power. The pin is over the fingers and the mass bias under the thumb hole with the cg a little right of the center of palm.

I have never bowled so consistently over such a long period of time. 700 series have become the expectation everytime i take this ball out of my bag. It seems that when i dont break 700 with this ball it was an off day. I had this ball drilledto go long an snap at the end. Due to the polished factory finsh of this ball it matches up very nicely on both heavy oil and even medium oil, providing u can provide the speed on this ball when the lanes are a bit drier. The biggest problem with this ball that i have found is that you need to consistently hit your mark. This ball is ont the kind of ball where if u get it out pas t the 8 board it will come crushing in. If you get it out too far it will just hang out there and do nothing. One the flipside, however, this ball allows the bowler to play the whole lane. Whether your are a cranker or a stroker, this ball can come through when you need it in heavy oil conditions whether you are on wooden lanes of synthetic.

I've been having this ball for over 5 months now, and it only gets better. This is my first 9th month bowling and so far I am doing pretty good with this ball, very predictable, not so very speed sensitive with the way I throw the ball, maybe a little bit, but not so bad that I cannot control. Drilled mine with 1o'clock, Goes real long and just snap a little bit at the end,. That's my game, I shot 667 last week in the league with that ball, and shot 604 on another league, and shot 747 on my practice and I've only been bowling for 9 months, Give this ball a try. A MUST HAVE for your arsenal ... REALLY !!!!

I got my X-Factor about 2 months ago and now that I have bowled a few weeks of league I think I am ready to give it a proper review. Bowling style; RH, stroker 13-15 mph med revs med axis tilt 30-45 degrees axis rotation Ball specs; 14# 5oz 2-2.5 pin 3.5oz top drilled 3 3/8 X 4, rad 1" right of thumb balance hole just above PAP 3/4oz pos side, 1/4oz finger 1500 polished Lane conditions; wood 38'/44' (apply/buff) medium load with screaming back end Well let me start off by saying WOW this ball is hands down the best ball I have ever thrown for these conditions. Ball goes through the heads with no effert, gives a decent midlane read, and then just when I start to worry that it's not going to come back it flips and comes roaring back. The ball is very receptive to speed and release changes. In my league I only have to move 2 boards both stance and break point and make minor speed and axis rotation adjustments during the 3 game set. Overall evaluation for above

Strom put out a strong Y spinning ball. They out did them selves... I was shocked when I saw the add for it. They did a great job on this ball. This ball carries well and hooks a ton for a straight up reactive pearl ball. It tracks down the lane well and comes back hard, very strong. If you haven't liked storm for a while for what ever reason this is the ball to buy.... For the die hards you'll love this one.... This ball is all you need in your bag. To all the guys writing bad reviews on storm without throwing them. I suggest you stop before you loose credibility, if you can't score with this ball you need to take a lesson.

I Recomend drilling with locatorpin above fingerhole. This ball must have a dry backend, otherwise, pick something else. But when the conditions are dry...puhhh!!! Also like Storm“s philosophy when developing balls for crankers! This one is a must for all bowlers with 16+ revs. I have more "messengers" flying over the pindeck with this ball than any other. This is my starting ball. Note: If the lane are buffered less than 37-38 feet, you must be strong, to be able to puch it down to break point. May be you can polish the ball, but I'm afraid it will be to strong than

I have 2 balls, the Ebonite Tornado TPS ($80) and an X-Factor ($200). I used the X_Factor this summer for the first half of the league. I was very consistant 174, no 200 games....Then I switched to the TPS Tornado and I had 585, 594, 600, 617, 643! I had 7 200 games with the Tornado. How can this be possible? The Tornado hits like a truck and blows away pins while the X-Factor leaves 8 pins and kind of dies. I am a solid 185-190 bowler. The differences are staggering. This ball is so overrated. It's a piece of junk....
