RAD Ingenious in design, the RAD (Radial Accelerating Dual Density Disk) Motion Control Technology generates a differential of .013 between the "Y" and "Z" axis. WEIGHT BLOCK Comprised of lighter materials this weight block works in tandem with its unique shape to enhance the influence of the RAD. REV BLOCK Achieving a lower radius of gyration and optimum entry angle is accomplished by anchoring the rev block to the bottom of the weight block. I bout this ball about 2 years ago. I bought it new for 30 bucks. Best money i ever spent on bowling equipment. To this day this is the best ball I have had. I shot Three 290 games a 279 at state and over a month straight of 700's on our house shot with this ball. I hate to see it getting older and tracking up. I have bowled around 500 games with this ball and it still hooks and rolls fantastic. The worst thing about this ball is that it is not being made any longer. This brings a tear to my eye.

My first twelve games out of the box, 2850 total, with a 300 game, on my fourth series. As with all my equipment, I always get the best drilling possible for the situation I buy the ball for. And it helps to have one of the best ball men in the game. I can watch this ball rev and rev through the heads, and damn near the enitre length of the pattern. It's like a moment in time before an epiphany, a calm before the storm if you will. And plastic covered wooden hell is unleashed, with some of the best carry I've had with any ball, and the occasional dead wood from the tremendous action. I was the first in my town to have one, and after every one saw me perform with it, everyone got one, and then those that didn't picked up one of the many sequels. Incredible ball, one of my go-tos. 10 out of 10.

I owned two of this and it is just simply amazing. I like trying out different drill paterns and surfaces. After maybe 50 games I gave them away to freinds. They were amazed on how it still performs. I wanted it back but it works very well for them and I just don't want to ask them to give it back anymore. Last two months ago I got a used one say give and you will receive. Buddy of my gave me his 3 month old so adjusted the grips and been using it for the last two months in my Monday Night League and I been averaging high 200's for the last seven weeks. This ball rules the lanes from Heavy to Medium Dry lanes. You know what I am not giving this one away.

The ball was drilled label for a controlable arcing back-end. This ball got me my 1st sanctionned 300 in a provincial tournament. That day, I bowled 248 average for 8 games. The game after the 300, I bowled 279. A couple of days after the provincial tournament, I bowled a 259.4 average for 10 games. That record is still the highest in this province and I posted it in 2004. I have 3 perfect games with this ball and a 834. I am going to miss this ball and I wish I could find another one. If anyone has a chance to get one, don't hesitate, just get it. Remember, always bowl up a storm!

I recommend this ball to ANYONE who is a sheer cranker and wants a hard hitting ball. I throw a wicked breaking ball and the entry angle is enough to down 50 pins let alone 10. It keeps the pins low to the deck and pin action are not the words to describe the kind of carry this ball creates. If u can find one... get it! They were discontinued for some odd reason but they're out there somewhere. There is a reason that this ball is the most reviewed. You will hear very few bad comments about this ball because that is the reputation that this ball his earned.

I didn't like this ball. I think it was a total waist of my money. I couldn't get a consistant roll out of the ball reguardless of how much hand, how fast, or how i adjusted the cover on this hunk a crap. There were just a few shots after some turnament patterns had broken down where the ball did roll and score well, but I expected better. i have forward roll and a LOT of it and I just could not get this ball to roll. The ball was all backend but it was one big jump, not smooth like the ball should be. I am a huge storm fan but this ball and the X-factor ACE are making me loose a little bit of my faith in them.

I had this ball for 2 years. I bought it for 70 bucks. A few weeks after I got it I bowled a 280 with it. That was a great night, that was my highest game I have bowled. Then shortly after that I just couldnt throw it. I could never get it to hook the way it did when I got it. People may have fallen in love with it, but I dont see why. I got several others that out due this one by far. Thank god I olny payed 70 bucks for it. If I ended up payin the 250, I would have been extremely pissed off.<sc

My gosh...this is an amasing ball. I recieved this ball as a free bee from a lefty friend of mine.It was origionally a professionals ball which he recieved at a PBA event at Babylon bowl a while back, and he then gave it to me. Im sure it has a lot of games on it, but its a BEAST. Drilling: This ball is drilled with the pin above the fingers, and the Massgias in the Strong position. HEres a pic http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMTA1MTgyMjZzNDEzZGZkMzF5NTQx.jpg Converstock: On this ball, i have it 1200 sandpaper with 2 coats of Black Magic polish. Reaction: This ball has a phenominal reaction. Before i got this, all i had owned was particle balls (hammer sharp blade, saw blade, columbial throttle up). Anyway, ive put about 50 or so games on this ball since i got it and its has been extrempy versatile with all the hand changes and angles i play. I ususally with this ball swing from 20 out to 5, but i play deeper and i play straighter, all depends. This ba

I ordered this ball on Ebay. I won the auction for $85. I was very surprised at the low price because of the MSRP on this ball when it was still on the market. I chose a lighter ball because of speed issues. I throw my 16lb balls at around 11 - 12 mph with a lot of revs. So I wanted to up my ball speed to be able to keep the ball on the lanes. I bowled 3 games after it was drilled. I had a 539 (189, 170 & 180) series for a 150 avg bowler. Not too darn bad. I left the finish polished out-of-the box finish. I had Berlin's Pro Shop drill the ball. It is drilled layout #1(B), with the RAD in the thumb hole (psuedo-strong position). The ball goes long and snaps hard on the back end. I couldn't believe how it smashed the pocket. This is my second Storm ball, as I also own an Eraser. Only time will tell if this ball will be as consistent as my 2-piece Stinger Low Flare (Ebonite). But I think this ball is a large step up from an entry level to mid-priced ball. I will post

I drilled the heat with the cg kicked out about 2 inches and the pin was about 1/2 an inch above the midline in my grip. I put a hole about 4 inches over from the pin threw the cg of the ball. i used a 31/32 bit for the weight hole and I went about a inch and a half down. for someone like myself who has lots of hand and speed this drilling rolls great. I don't like to see the ball go sideways on the back part of the lane I want to see it be a little more controllable cause I don't want to get to much over under. I can always get the ball to make more of a direction change if I need to but my overall review on this ball is that it is exactly like the old heat and I love it.

I've finnally got mine used, about a year ago. This was the first pearlized ball that I could use!!! I've pulled out this ball many of times to save face in league play. I've never failed to shoot below a 200 with this great ball! It does surprise on how much this ball hooks. The carry is just fantastic. I shoulda known something was up, when I was at the storm booth in Baton Rouge, and seen the price at 159.00$(also along with the Fear Factor) what a two ball combo that would make!!! Well anyway they must have something in store, that there about to reveal. That progress for ya! I'll be looking at ebay for some deals. I love this ball!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this ball completely is my go to ball out of the bag. It rolls nice and just rips the lane apart. One of the BEST balls created by Storm. Thank god they are keeping up the X Factor line. I have the X Factor and the Fear Factor and thats all you need for any type of shot at any tourny. You will not be disappointed with this ball. Using some Clean and Dull with a Scotch Brite pad will turn this ball from Skid Snap to early LEFT TURN! Very versatile ball and can be used on basically any condition.
