The ball is a very good overall ball. This is my first storm ball. I have had dozens of other bowling balls in the past, but i have tried to stay away from storm but i didnt want to be part of the crowd; everybody seems to love storm for one reason or another and i tried to not be in that crowd. Well i figured i would take this ball since one of my friends traded me for one of my balls that was worth like 50 bucks less, so i was like ok i will do it. I had it fixed so i could throw it, and right off the bat i was like dang this ball is hooking more than my heavy oil balls. I tend to like pearl balls that have a lot of backend. This ball is nice because it started to hook early and had a lot of backend as well. It is sad to say but this is more of a heavy oil ball for me. I was playing 5th arrow out to around the 10 board on a kind of dry oil pattern that already had a league bowl on it. My other heavy oil balls were just kind of hooking a lot but this one was hooking more so i

This is another ball I purchased from J&J Bowling Supply(Jaros) and this ball's erason was for something to go through the breakdown and extreme dry lanes. As I bought this one it did just that. I enjoy this ball and it works well except you have to have a very slight oil to use it. I have used it and if it comes in to late you may split and leave some nasty stuff and it comes in light the same sresults. Otherwsie if you are in the pocket you are fine. I wuld just be careful though because this ball has all the trimmings in the backend not so much in the front end.

now it is time for you all to know the truth behind this ball and what its really about. the truth is....this ball is great!!! got mine bout a year ago and let me say i love it. i brought the ball bcuz of the core, was interested to see what it would do. well the ball is deffinately a roller and by that i mean it rolls and arcs back to the pocket. i have mine drilled in label levarage. thats pin in line with cg vertically and about 1 in off my ring to the right, with bal hole. ball was 15.5 top 3.2 pin 3. now with this ive played to house my own and another. one was dry while the other had some oil. in the dry house i was able to get this ball to do its own thing all i had to do was lay the ball down. with the oil house, i saw that this ball sets its self up to smash the pocket. overall i am pleased with this ball and would tell everyone to get one. i can wait to see how it does in tourny play with 80 guys and no freash oil after a 6 game block. get it you wont be disappointed. <scri

The flash point has a medium aggressive coverstock and a low RG. This is a great combination for broken down lanes. This one didn't show any difference. Goes through dried up heads better than the blazing inferno. This works for me when I like the reaction of my RS1 but it is just reacting too strong. The difference between the Flash Point and the Blazing Inferno is this, the Blazing Inferno is a little harder to get through the heads and it tracks dirt plus it loses its kick on the backend. For those of you who like Roto-Grip, the Flash Point has the exact same concept of the Silver Streak Pearl. Just for the records, the Silver Streak Pearl is defitianly not like the RS1, the RS1 is way stronger with way better backend. So if you can't find a silver streak pearl or if you need something for broken down conditions, get the Flash Point.

I threw it out of the box.. drielled with my finger holes to rev less and gain more length.. basically has a strong skid/snap reactive and is very reactive depending on what kind of lanes you throw it on.. dry lanes are the downfall of this ball.. the moment it reads dry is hooks.. so shorter oil patterns are a nono.. but definately bring it along you can use this ball to instantly tell the length of oil on any lane anywhere.. well i have to said its kinda predictable ball.. but a solid ball none the less.. its pearlised so how much can you expect.. i have no side weights so its all out of the box.. plus the pepermint smell gets kinda odd after some cleaning

Storm has come up with another great ball. The hard arcing Flash Point is great for fresh oil with drier backends. I have also seen that the ball performs well on moderate carry down. The Flash Point also does not track up very fast meaning that it stays in pretty new condition for a while. Its negative aspects include its inability to play inside and its tendency to break the lanes down fairly rapidly. This ball however is good for that first shift league or as the first ball out of the bag in a tournament, just do not expect to be able to stick with it for more than a couple of games.

Good ball for the price hits like a truck I havn't left to many 10 pins with it unless it came in to late. I would recomend this ball to anybody on house shot I also like this ball for a spare ball it'll go straight if I want it to. this Ball works on wood or synthetic this ball carries. I have the pin above and between the fingers and the center of gravity half way btween ing finger and thumb the ball is drilled to go long. iv'e only had the ball about three weeks.

GREAT BALL FOR ANYONE! this ball would be for anyone who loves to play with the backend of a ball! i have it drilled up for the back end to flip hard! its just a great ball! i think the ball will work good on almost any condition except flooded. I havnt tried it on a sport shot yet but im hoping it still works great on it. i throw it on a house shot which works really really good! i have loved all of my storm balls ive had trauma, shock trauma, eraser blaze, and now the flash point which overall i like the best

This ball would never make it to the pocket on anything heavier than medium, but if there were some dry backends, it would hook too much. It would seem to hook kinda early for a pearl, and just snap a little, it did NOT arc. I could only get it to the three pin on med-heavy! It is very difficult to control. It seem to explode on the pins, if you could ever get it there. I really never got the feel for the ball and did not match up for my style. I do not like the colors, because it looks like red in some light and orange in other, but usually this strange red and black. The smell on the ball is also nausiating. I could never find the right condition either.

Bowling this past week in a tournament with a shot that kept you on your toes. There was 104 extremely good bowlers and only 8 averaged over 200. Ball change from pair to pair was part of the game. Once I got lined up with this ball I could put the others away while other bowlers still had to change. I ended up at even for the 5 games and finish in the top 5. If I had a better mental game with this ball I could of won it all. But that's the breaks and it gives me something to work on. Storm has gone to the top of the list with thier series of bowling equipment. I would recomend any of the products they sell. Good luck to all. This ball will read the lanes, you just have to make the adjustments. The ball hits like a frieght train.

I had this ball drilled 5" X 4" pin-up high-RG strong (pin over ring finger, CG just below ring finger, no weight hole). The Flash Point is best when the heads are beginning to break and the backs have noticable carrydown from the first league game of the evening. It has a skid/arc reaction, mainly due to the Power Mass Technology and the softer coverstock (74-76 Rex-scale durometer). Such characteristics are different from past balls I have used with high-RG layouts. As a result, I am eager to use this ball again. Overall, the Flash Point, with its readability and raw power, will be very useful on those "mysterious" lane conditions.<s
