Although I never used this ball, a guy in my league does and we have the same style of play. The El Nino Gold can hook on most conditions. Compared to the eraser boost, they both have the same type of roll, they both hit very hard, but the difference is that the El Nino Gold revs up faster and has a earlier breakpoint therefore, it hooks more than the boost. Unlike the boost, the El Nino Gold can handle carrydown very well. Although an oldie, the El Nino Gold is worth getting for those oily conditions or if you complain about the boost not being durable, then give this a try.

I bought this ball and man did I love this ball. The flare was excellent, excellent roll, great hitting power. I didn't like it at first because it would hook way too much for me, but once I got used to this ball I loved it. This ball would hook for me on any possible lanes condition. I was able to make this ball hook 25 boards on a SPORT SHOT. If i could still find a ball like this, I would highly recemmend anybody to get this ball. This is one of the best balls Storm has ever made.

The El Nino Gold is a strong product by Storm, as I have experienced though with Storm products, the life of the ball is considerably shorter than other products. Before the life went out of the ball, it hit hard, and was a very consistent ball, even with erractic shots off my hand, very forgiving. I kept the ball to long, and it totally lost its shot. Have given the ball to another 200 avg. bowler, who polished the ball, and still gets no action out of it, so if this is just one piece in your arsenal great. If this is going to be your bread and butter for a season, you may want to reconsider

I found a used one that was already polished. It goes long and snaps in the pocket hard. My house lanes are usually pretty oily, and by the time I get there it has some carry down. This ball handles it well. I liked it so much I searched and found a new one. It came in the original finish of matte. It had a nice arc to it but was not as predictable as the 1st one i have. I polished it to 1000 and I gotta say WOW. If you can find one pick it up. It will be the 1st ball outta the bag.

This ball is for the bowler who wants a ball that hits like a Mack truck. It plows through the pins with power and acuracy that is like none other. I have owned some pretty good bowling balls in the past, and some I still throw some of them, but i would say that the El Nino Gold is by far the best in my bag. It also has a great grape scent. hehe. But I would reccomend this ball to any bowler who wants performance out of their ball, and not all of the flash. Two thumbs way up!

This ball was drilled to go really long and then make a sharp left hand turn to the pocket. It does just that! Just when you think it's too late for it to make it's way back to the pocket, it turns, and hard! It very rarely leaves 10 pins, and always strikes if I'm anywhere close to the pocket, even high or light hits too. It continues to hook through the pins and doesn't even deflect off the pins since it is driving throuh them so hard. I get lots of messengersd flying around with this ball, taking out whatever is left standing. You just have to know when to put it away. It's hard stop bowling with it when it just keeps carrying the way it does, but when the heads dry up it must go, unless you want to throw brooklin. Wish they still made it so I could get another one. Great job on this ball from Storm!

I have this ball drilled to go long. I can play this ball from just about any line. This ball will hook and hits the pocket very hard. The Surface is very adjustable. Can be polished or sanded easily. I have had this ball for a while and just love it. I love the sound this one makes when it hits the pocket. This is the second Storm ball that I have purchased. I played it on several different oil conditions. With the exception of dry conditions this ball is very playable. An other fine Storm Product. I have yet to be dissappointed by Storm.

One of my favorite balls of all time. The virsitilty of this ball is just plain awesome. Mine is drilled w/the pin to the left and under the ring finger, cg kicked out, and a weight hole. One thing i never have to worry about when throwing this ball is carry. I'll stone a 9 every 8 or 9 games, and thats it, other than that, if you hit pocket, it will strike, or get very close to it. Polished, this ball goes looooooooong, and makes a hard snap in the backend, sanded doesn't go quite as long, but still has the snap in the backend. But after the snap, it goes stright, because of the drilling. I really like this ball, and hope i will for a long time The pleasure has been yours. The great one<s

Well I know this ball is old but I just got one about a month ago NIB used the number 2 layout by storm which is putting the pin in between and above the finger with cg shifted out right of my span and the Mass Bias on my PAL. I don't know to much about the technical talk of bowling so i'll try my best to explain the shot and how I throw it. Normal house shot 7-7 42 feet clean backends. Half synthestic half wood lanes. I stand with my left foot just right to the last dot by the ball return. I throw out to what people say 5 or 6 board and the ball just keeps moving smashing the pins. I like this ball I kept it out of the box condition and clean it every night after league. Great ball if you want something to give alittle when you might tug it or let it out alittle to far. Awsome ball by storm and if anyone has one NIB please email me at ptown415@attbi.com . Thanks everyone.

Everyone in this sport is searching for the ball suited best for their game, and this is the one for me. This ball cleans the heads with ease and turns the corner better than any ball I have ever thrown. This ball is extremely versitile, and can be thrown on medium to heavy oil. I must say this ball has the ability to hook in the heavy oil more than I had expected, and carries well whether your high, light, or flush in the pocket. Just let this one rip and the messengers will be flying. Words can't say enough about this ball. I have to give this one a 10 out of 10. Outstanding job Storm. UPDATE In my opinon this ball is by far the best on the market. I've owned 2 of these things and both out performed everything else in my bag by miles. These things have great length and a huge backend. This is my vote for ball of they year, unless they decide to put something with a remote control on the market by the end of the year...lol. The gold is extremely versitile, I;ve used mine on everth
