Terrific ball, Storm makes an Awesome Ball. I'm sticking with them forever! The key to rolling a storm ball is the speed and type of shot you want to shoot. I used to play only the outside shot and was terrified of the inside. Not anymore, I can play whatever shot I want now, thanks to Storm!!!! I also use the Trama ER, boy does this ball smell great. My El Nino dosen't have a smell to it but I love the way it sounds when it hit the pins. Can't wait to get my hands on the X-Factor or the new released X-Factor Reloaded. The El Nino has a tremendous amout of energy left in it when it hits, what more can I say it's just an awesome ball and I'm totally impressed by how stable the ball rolls when the lanes change.

When i first saw my freind using this i thought that the ball doesn't curve as much as my Brunswick Proactive does. I noticed that he had an extremely hard time kepping the ball from hitting the 1-2 pocket instead of the 1-3 pocket. I asked if i could try it the next game and he let me use the ball in exchange for mine. In the first frame i got staight gutters since the ball hooked extremly far. I was standing in the left gutter and lofting it to board 2 and three on the right side and i was still going Brokelin. That is when my freind wanted to trade his El Nino for my Brunswick Proactive. Of coarse i told him to drop dead, compared to my ball this one sucks and it is twice the price as mine. This ball just over hooks way way to much for me, no wonder it was discontinued

I guess overall I have had good experience with this ball. It took me a while to get used to because I wasn't used to a ball hooking like it did when I first bought it. Now things are different because I can't seem to put the ball in the pocket like I used to. But that's just me. the ball works best for me when the lane conditions are a little lighter on the oil. Even thought I have an average of a 195 lately I have been having trouble with this ball. but maybe it is just my attitude.

Excellent Ball for a house I say if can find this ball used get it because it is a good ball has excellent carry at the end but I have left a few 7-10's because it decided to hook too late but good for oil this ball definatly needs oil. Best part this ball I got this ball for nothing because the who gave found it oon a house rack he took it didn't like he gave it to me and I love it. I shot my first 700 with back in october I went 180-236-289 on the 289 I left a 4 pin on first frame went out to the last of tenth and left a 7 pin.

this ball is one weird thing , soon as i drilled it i threw a 7 bagger and i thought it was ganna be the best thing but then we tried sanding it and it rolled out then we tried shining it and it didnt flip so i was about to trash it then i ripped it out in a tournament and it helped me make the cut and i only rip it out when im on wet dry places and thats the only time i can use it but i will continue to work with it till i find out whats up<scri

My first Storm ball. When it first came out, it was billed as a hooking ball (they all are). I had a very strong drilling used and I think when I first used it, there was 7-8 inches of track flare!! The track went around the whole ball!! This ball still hits hard. However, since there are heavier volumes of oil being put down to accomodate the particle balls, this became more of light-medium oil pill. I used this ball to crack 800 for the first time in a house that's not noted for carry. I've since polished this ball and will turn to it from time to time.

If you can find one of these balls new or used buy it. It is one of the best balls Storm has made and it doesn't have any annoying smell. Great ball for the medium to heavy oil, hits very hard but will leave a few ten pins on sythetic lanes. On wood lanes I stand on the 20 th board and through it at the 11 board it hit like a champ. Very durable ball, I havent resurfaced it yet and I have had it for 3 years and it still reacts the same, but when it does go dead on me I just bake some of the oil out and it is good as new.

This ball is GREAT. I wish I could still buy this ball new or maybe get another used one in good shape once the one I have dies out. Storm makes great bowling balls older and newer ones. I got this used and man does this thing hook and as so much hitting power. I wish I could buy a new one of these. I have used this ball for 2 weeks in 2 leagues straight and have not shot a series under 610.Hits so hard I get a few 10 pins. But other wise nothing. Lets go Storm.

I've owned this ball for over 2 + years and I changed the layout and started to use this ball again but this time with great results. If you can find one of these ball on ebay or whatever I highly recommend you purchase one. I have this ball with a 3-inch pin and I drilled this ball with the pin over the fingers and the CG is located in the palm area. I use this ball on medium conditioned shots. Now I know that there are a few people that has owned this ball with unhappy results. I feel you need to work with different layouts to produce the desire ball reaction. But, overall this is a great overall ball and if you bowl tournaments this is a must in the tournament bag.

One of the best balls that storm came out with. This ball has greatly increassed my ability to maintain first shot strikes and helped increase my average during league play. Very good hook potential and excellent reaction through the heads with great pin reaction. Don't like splits, then this ball is for you. Several bowlers I've talked with also have high regard for this ball. Only drawback,is the color of cover stock. But what the heck can't have everything. Works well with 600-800 grit and then apply a clen and dull cleaner. You will be surprised at the reaction you get thrown approx 17-18 mph.

This ball is one of the great ones. This ball is probably my fav. ball that has ever been released. I've thrown plenty of balls and this one tops them all in my opinion. The only ones that come REAL close would be the Black Chaos, 3-D Offset Violet, Danger Zone and maybe one or two others. I fell in love with this ball from the moment I first threw it. It went out and came back WONDERFULLY every single time. No disappointments with this ball. Storm did an EXCELLENT job with this ball and made a real name for themselves when releasing this one. Tremendous hook and awesome hitting power sums this ball up nicely. I'm buying another one as I got rid of my first to try some other balls out. But, I am definately buying another one. I'd get one before it's too late and they're all gone. I plan on getting the Trauma Response as well, hopefully it will live up to the same expectations and blow my mind as the El Nino did. A++++ to STORM!!!

I am frankly amazed that there's only been one review of this ball! This ball is the Mothership of the 20 or so balls that I own. The predictability and versatility of this ball has held me up when I couldnt find a line, experimented with shots, and switched from a wood house to a synthetic and back again. I had this ball drilled with the pin above and about an inch right of the ring finger with the CG on the grip centerline. When I originally started throwing this ball, I could only shoot the 7 board up and in, but in time, I learned to step left and swing 20 to 5. No matter what, this ball always made it to the pocket, punched through, or gave me such nutty chaotic pin action that I would get freaky backdoor trip strikes. Even if I stuck at the foul line, this ball seemed to forgive and swing back to the pins! I recently had this ball resurfaced, and it seems just as perky as when I pulled it out of the box years and years ago. I don't know what to do when the life of this

Have this w/my favorite layout (see profile) got it sanded (box finish) and turned alot, but way to early, could not keep it off the head pin unless there was some serious oil. So polished up to 2000 grit, let it out and watched it snap even harder, send pins even higher, and was being stared back at by alot of solid 9s. Have shot many many 279s w/this ball all but one (ten pin) the 9 looking at me in one frame or another. Only one that's even close in the line (love it just as much) is the gold. With my fear of partical, i stayed away from the x-it, threw a friends but didn't like the reaction much. The pleasure has been yours. The great one
