This ball has so much power when i roll it, it is always the first ball out of the bag. I have this ball layed out with a 4x3 layout with a flare increasing hole in it. After i layed it out and drilled it (I drill all my own equipment) i rolled this ball and it definitely finishes unlike any ball i've ever rolled. I've finally found a ball that matches my game perfectly, and a company to go with it. This ball is definitely worth the money i paid for it, and a great ball that storm has put in their mid-price range. If you get the chance to pick this ball up......DO IT! you won't regret it, guaranteed.

Playing on ideal house conditions I was able to go between the 15 - 10 board out to the 1 board, and the ball would swing back into the pocket hard. This ball is perfect for medium to med.-heavy conditions, flooded lanes tend to make the break point late leading to some wash-outs or chopped head-pin shots. The Depth Charge seems to be a good balls for strokers and tweeners who look play deep down the first or second arrow. The smell isn't too bad, but it ain't too good either. na na na nan anan an nanna nanan an anan

I really liked my CorePower LRG but didn't find SuperCharge quite as good mainly because it's just too strong. To get the whole Charge-arsenal I had to step up to 16 lbs since 15 lbs wasn't availavble and maybe that made a problem. Both Super and Depth Charge covers so many boards that only deep lines are possible for me even on heavy oil. The angle and weight combined creates verry little deflection off the pins and verry often 8 or 9 pin is standing. What's different with Depth Charge is the cover that produces som skid and gives the ball a chance to store more energy to the end. The skid also gives me a chance to play even deeper lines, sometimes so deep that I see 7 and 10 standing on pocket hits, but as I said, it stores energy and messengers wipes out whatever's still standing in the back row. The True Roll has always been a predictable arc and hard hitting core. No use talking about drill specs since it's so versatile and with the pearl-particle coverstock it can match any bow

specs in my pro stock pearl reviews drilled this one with stacked drill but not leverage. this ball is now my bench mark ball b/c of the simple fact it is very versitle and how well it carries. this thing can carry everything. this ball clears the heads without hesitation starts to rev up nice then makes a hard snap into the pocket but is very controlable. this ball is extremely predictable and you know exactly when it is going to break and how far. my reviews is over. storm rules storm rules storm rules storm rules storm rules storm rules

My review will be based on the shots that I shoot on most of the time... Saturday Morning YABA: Your typical league shot. Middle of the lane is oily and outside is striking heaven. Only exception is that this shot uses a much larger volume of oil than most others, so the middle is no hook whatsoever and the outside is very oily, but still have some room for error. With this shot, I average a 220 using this ball. I throw it about 15 to 10 and let it come back. Easy shot...nothing more to be said. Monday Evening YABA Sport Shot: Reverse Block 42 Feet: Yea, ok. Basically, this ball doesn't work. The oil is loaded so heavily that almost nothing hooks...So, this ball doesn't work at all. Short Oil Pattern: Still on Monday Nights, all of the oil is loaded down at the heads. So basically, I start out playing about 25-30 to about 10-5. About a 20 board hook is required for this shot witht this ball. As the night progresses, carry-down kills the shot and I am forced to pla

This ball by far is one of Storm's best. This is the ball that is 80% of the time the first ball out of my bag to see what condition I have. The ball is very clean with a very controlled backend due to the light load particle in the pearl shell. I think this ball will out last others in the Storm line thanks to it's versatility of being able to play it longer before making a ball change. I think this ball is a great middle ball for someone just wanting to keep their arsenal to three balls.<scrip

I have seen many bowlers use this ball and they all love it. The Depth Charge is the kind of ball that you can use the start of the league to the end. With the pearl you get decent length and the low load of particles gives the ball that extra pop you may need for carrydown. I know that I said I hate particle balls, but if it is a pearl particle it doesn't die out on you as fast which is why I like balls like this, power and durability. I would use this on a fresh league shot that was just a little bit longer in pattern than usual. Compared to the RS1, the Depth Charge revs up equally but goes deeper down the lane. When there is more oil and I had too pick between these two, I'd pick the RS1since it reads the lane a bit sooner than the depth charge. But that is just my style of bowling, but this ball is very adjustable. I've seen a spinner use this great on drier conditions. I've also seen high rev bowlers have great sucess with this in more oiler conditions. So no matter w

ball speed: 16-17 mph w/ 45degree axis tilt and 18 revs I have the ball drilled 2x2 (first time i have tried this drilling and i love it expecially for people w/ hand). This Ball is unfair its soo good, if you bowl on sport shots this thing will be your best friend. so far w/ it i have a high set of 276-231-224 :) but anyway about the ball. Reads the midlane great and starts reving up, when it hits the back end it really starts reving up then it makes a strong yet smooth arc to the pocket. so far i have used targets at the arrows between the 8 and the 21 w/ lots of succues. and targets outside five w/ very little succues. any other questions email me.

i bought it expecting it to replace my x-factor reloaded. it doesnt but hey good investmant for 100.00 overall i rate it an 8. not really sure the layout the guy who drills my balls just talks to me about what i want and he drills it sorrie. i ordered the x-factor ace cant wait for it to get here and see what it does im hoping its strong. my first review so bear with me ill get a hang of it soon. when i say this ball doesnt hook like they said it would its because i bought it for heavy oil so i was prolly expecting to much.

seems to be a good ball with a decent mid-lane roll and a good backend great hit sends the pins flying carried a few questanble hits but once a again two games is too early to tell get some games on it and break down some the polish on it maybe it might give me more break but it'll be fine. the thing that I didn't really like eas the pin placement 1-1.5 with a 3.38 top weight with small wieght hole. Got the pin below and to right of ring finger. but all in all it's drilled pretty good and a anothere decent release by storm.

The Depth Charge is an exceptional ball on medium oil conditions. I tried it on dry lanes and it lost quite a bit of it's hitting power. Short oil also causes the ball to react to quickly. When used on medium condtions, the ball has great length and makes a huge turn to the pocket. The ball carried both light and high hits well - Messengers were flying all over the pit! I was able to play both inside and outside lines by using simple hand adjustments. This is often the first ball out my bag becasue it allows me to see the oil lines and then make the proper adjustments.

1/2 oz side; pin above ring Punched one up last night to get a new look. Impressive! I've been throwing my Eraser Pearl since last May and was looking for a great replacement to replace a proven winner. Since the covers are the same, it was a logical choice. This ball seems to feed to the breakpoint and then it just turns over. It was splitting the pocket like a video game, sending the 8 & 9 their separate ways. If anyone tells you this ball does not hook, they don't have the 450-rev rate they claim to have.

Bowler profile: right handed, slow ball speed, average revs. My friend just bought this ball 2 weeks ago and it was almost perfect for his game. He likes to play the big hook inside-out shot no matter the lane conditions and I must admit this ball returned to the hole strong on just about every shot. Usually his old equiptment will roll out if he got it past the 8th board or it would slide by if he didn't get it out. but this ball retained its energy well and snapped back time and again. He would have scored it higher if it actually carried the 10 pin! Tight shots cleared the deck and light shots danced pins all over the place. Problem is he left the ten pin on just about every flush throw!! Bigger problem is he's only about 60% spare conversion!! Seems like a very versatile ball from storm and I'd like to see a more skilled bowler (NO OFFENSE, BILL!) give it a try.<scr

I am left handed with a medium to high rev rate. I layed this ball out with the pin 5" from my pap and the mass bias by my thumb hole, in the track. This ball is very smooth through the heads and has very heavy roll to it. This ball also has a very strong arc to it. I would suggest this ball with the box finish for medium oil lanes. However I am going to hit it with a little polish and use it on dry lanes. Will post again after i get more games on it. I am going to test it on sport shots and abc nationals shot also. till next time later.

Well, all I can say is that this ball fits nicely in my current line-up of equipment. Specifically, I have always had trouble on my Tuesday night league as I bowl late and the conditions tend to be spotty, frquently dry up front with carry down. I therefore had a tough time finding equipment that would finish with some angle and strike. I LOVE my Brunswick Inferno, but the polished surface would sometimes slide through the finish, and anything significantly stronger (Fear Factor or Ultimate Inferno) would burn up on the front. The Depth Chage has solved that problem. As advertised, it is clean in the front and still moves in the back. My drill is pin to the right of the ring finger, just above and right of the CG with a balance hole 4.5 inches to the right. (My pro says he drilled this ball for a more aggressive reaction). Oil was minimum (but present) and this ball reacted GREAT. Storm states that this ball is for heavy oil conditions, but I am dubious... Nonetheless, a great fit
