Overall this ball is a great ball to throw when you need a long and strong performer. I use it as a main ball, i replaced a Ebonite Crossfire with the "A.C.".and I'll be replacing the "A.C." with an Hammer Saw Blade. I also use it when the lane conditions start to break down and i need a ball to track longer and stay powerful till it comes back. Plus with it being a storm the CRANBERRY fragrance is awesome...i got my ball used and it still smells great! So if your in the market for a solid ball and aren't afraid to go down the used or Discontinued rout...i strongly recommend the Storm Atomic Charge

Player Specs: Please see profile. Ball Specs: Layout: 5 x 3 1/2 Pin: 4" Top Weight: 3oz Good ball for medium oil patterns. This ball for me I usually stand about 23 swing it out 10 and ball comes back nicely. This ball for me doesn't like oil. Would rather prefer a medium shot with clean backends although I haven't had any carry down issue with this ball at all. Reminds me of Storms El Nino Gold. When the lanes break down this ball shines. Hit hard and doesn't leave much when finished. I like the mid lane roll with hard arc to the pocket. Im not a big fan of the skid snap. Good ball for those 2nd shifts of 9pm leagues. 8 out of 10 for me.

I've had this ball for about six months. Ball is drilled 4X4 with the pin below my ring finger. I've tried this ball in "box condition" (800 grit/gray scotchbrite), polished to 1500, and just about everything in between. Was really wanting this ball to be my medium condition "go to" ball but have never found that "happy medium" I'm looking for. In box condition (800 grit), it is way too strong for our medium oil, starts reading the lanes way too early and doesn't have the "pop" at the end. Polished, it won't read the mids at all and doesn't make a strong enough turn to finish the way I want it to. However, when it does match up to the lane conditions, this ball can be the best in my bag. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen often enough for me with the Atomic Charge, therefore I give it only 5 pins.

This is a great mid-ranged priced ball that hits really hard in the pocket. It is a good ball to hook on medium oil. I have mine drilled to go a bit longer and then snap since I have a slower ball speed. Love this ball! :) Smells good too! Does not perform great on heavy or long oil out of the box. Should maybe be sanded a bit for these conditions. I am not quite sure how it performs with carrydown. This is the first Storm ball that I have ever owned, but I would certainly not hesitate to buy another one in the future. Keep producing Storm!!

well i bought this ball because i needed something that would move a little bit more for oiler lanes...well this ball is it. this ball is truly a beast on any lane condition besides dry. anytime i need something to get back to the pocket stronger i pull out this ball and go at it again. also the coverstock is very versitile if you would like to polish or dull it down a bit... i dont have anymore to say but due to this word minimum i guess i will be typin horrible stuff..still typin...still typin..still typin...still typin...still typin

Covering Reaction: Wow, this ball's reaction is smooth as silk! Just to start off, this ball just arcs to the pocket like it's gliding on air, not one jerk in it's reaction what so ever. This ball loves oil, and still does well on the dryer stuff too, just as long as you're not in the desert. You will have to adjust your mark to get it to burn though the really heavy stuff, but even then it still won't stop...and same with the dry, just adjust a few boards and you'll be good for it all day long. I would personally label this ball as a flat out benchmark ball; the one you can rely on 98% of the time. Though one thing to note is this ball can and will hook early if you are dealing with a shorter oil pattern, so even then you may want to put it away... Covering Hit/Carry: This ball does indeed carry well, and hit like a nuclear warhead too. You can just see it save up energy, especially on the right condition. However, if you are dealing with a very short pattern, this ball may r

I purchased this ball about a month ago, so I wanted to wait to see how well the ball performed before I posted a review. This ball is an underrated ball. The Coverstock/Core combination makes this ball strong, smooth and predictable. I keep the ball at 800 matte and this takes care of Med-Heavy Oil and carrydown. The pin carry is excellent including light hits, and the drive to the pocket is non-stop. I would recommend this ball to anyone, especially all my STORM people. Overall this ball is just great. When polished, this ball gets down the lane very well with a very strong but predictable back-end. Most balls that give you a lot of length tend to give you a lot of "over/under" type reactions, but not this ball. I bought this ball to replace my Pearlized Killer Instinct, because I found this ball to be a little unpredictable when there was significant carry-down. The Atomic Charge has proven to handle carry-down very well and hits with plenty of power. This ball is actually drilled with a slightly less aggresive layout than my Pearlized Killer Instinct and still covers more area. If you're in the market for a ball that will handle medium to oily conditions and/or carry-down situations, give this ball a try. For the price, it's about as good as you can get.

another great ball by the greatest ball company. i usually dont like the more agressive balls but this one is just awesome. i tend to rev up the ball with ok ball speed so more hook usually means more problems......the ball comes box 800...took it to 1500 and this this ball recovers well and the carry is unbelievable...i will be drilling another one with a different pin position...probably 5 inch pin to be able to throw it when the lanes get a bit burnt...the smell of this ball is great as well...this ball flares a ton...basically i have flare over the whole ball...
