I got this ball for 40 bucks. My buddy quit and sold it to me. I had to plug it and move the fingers I was rolling it over the thumb hole. When I solved that problem I was unstoppable. When I hit that outside edge its great. That ball just drifts right in to the pocket and kills. I have seen a better low end ball then this one. The amount of hand I get in it I am able to play in med to heavy oil. So I can trow it on almost any shot I got to. I love this 40$ investment.

this would be a great ball for anyone looking for a ball for a second shift league or drier conditions. This ball can be played anywher on the deck it clears the heads no problem, runs deep and comes blazing back both barrels blazing. My wife has one and she uses it on a normal fresh house shot not alot of rpm or rev's and does quite well. I have one and use it in a second shift league or during open bowling after leagus and just rip it up this ball is CRAZY!!! thanks ROTO GRIP for another great ball

$38 + S&H...=$56 RG Sonic Boom is better than my $127 Track Rule. Roto Grip Might have a new fan in me! When the lanes are light with oil and are unable to be touch with high performance BB, break out the RG Sonic Boom. The Ball also hits the pocket hard coming out of a role, it sounds like an ozzi. I've come to learn that expensive high end bowling balls are only for ridiculous crankers on lanes with ridiculous amounts of oil. The Sonic Boom cover / core provides a mild reactive with a medium-strong core. This combination provides great length for drier conditions and a stronger than typical recovery which leads to a big hitter with lower than average hook. The Sonic Boom packs a punch leveling the pins and sending messengers everywhere. The Sonic Boom is very condition specific ball working best on dry, toasty, lighter oil conditions with no carrydown. Otherwise, the ball will squirt through the breakpoint. The ball revs toward the end of the mid-lane will not turn corner until it nears the back end of the deck. Once it turns it provides a strong arc to the pocket turning the corner better than one would expect from a dry condition designed ball. Ball is drilled 6 X 5 to ensure good length with a strong recovery. The Sonic Boom is an excellent ball that provides strike-at-will capabilities when the conditions are right.

I needed a ball that go alot of length but still didnt have too much backend reaction. At the time I was about to go to Milwaukee for the Teen Masters national finals, and I knew that i was going to suck on the short oil. I drilled it with pin under the ring finger and cg under the pin. probably about 4 1/2" out each. The ball gave me a real nice slide with a late flare, yet a smooth arc on the backend. But due to the fact that it didnt carry a 10 pin on the 10th frame when i needed it to win the match and its speed sensitivity caused me to give this ball an 8.

Got for sport shot tournaments with lanes hooking off the ball rack, this ball sails thru dry and holds line nicely at 2nd-3rd arrow. Used on house shot and moved outside of track area, less hand in ball and the carry was terrific. Left zero 7-pin's and only a few 6's and a 6-8 when left up on speed. Normally average 220 inside 2nd arrow but with this ball I could move out and get away from carry-down from urethanes in early league eliminating streaking reactions and 7-pins. Nice alternative when track area carry is inconsistant

An excellent '1st out of the bag' ball when you know the pattern is either going to be short or thin. If it starts squirtin past the breakpoint put it away or move inside. If the backends are not squeaky clean it may not turn the corner either. You simply can't beat what you get for the price. It also keeps the pins very low which in my mind is a great thing. Since it will go dead straight if you throw it hard it also makes a good spare ball. I've already recommended it to a couple friends with slower ball speeds

I had this ball drilled to complement my Silver Streak Pearl. When the lanes really started to break down i whipped this ball out and dominated while my friends struggled. The SONIC BOOM went long and hit hard. I played the third arrow, swung it out to about the 6 and BOOM! Not only did i Kill my friends on the score board, but I Killed the PINS! This ball is great when the lanes break down or for the later part of a long tournament. You will not be disappointed. So get this ball and hear the BOOM! www.hitvbowling.com

Hitting power and then some. Has a great feel going down the lane, does not over-hook. Best down & In ball I have ever used. I bowled a 230 right out of the box, on conditions not really made for the ball. Have shot a 600 the last 5 sets with it, on some really hard to score lanes. Moves harder to the pocket than the Sonic-X or the Sonic-X solid, but seems to go just as long. I have played the far inside shot with it when the lanes get really dry, and was able to hold a real tight line right over the 20 board standing outside of 35 or so. Go ROTO GRIP you have a winner in my book!<scrip
