The new MVP Attitude brings you the Neutron NXT core with the VTC-H20 Hybrid Coverstock. What I like most about this ball is its dull surface while still being clean in the front part of the lane. I drilled mine 4.5 x 70 which is pin down for me in order to combat fresh oil conditions on lower volume and older lane surfaces. This ball allows me to play more up the lane on the fresh than other balls in the Roto Grip lineup have allowed me to. This ball reminds me of the Winner Solid from a few years ago that is slightly earlier rolling and a little more continuous. A pin up version of the attitude will allow you to open the lanes up more to be more versatile of a ball. This ball has a lot of punch for its price so if you are looking to get this ball as your one ball for league, this is definitely a great choice!

Roto Grip's HP2 Line of balls have been extremely popular through the bowling community. With last year introduction of the MVP and MVP Pearl the HP2 continued its success. This year we have the same Neutron NXT Core wrapped around the all-new VTC-H20 Hybrid cover, which is 2 parts pearl, and one part solid. I drilled mine 3 x 6 x 2.5. I choose this layout because I wanted a symmetrical ball that I could keep my angles in front of me on the fresh on longer medium length patterns. My first impression after throwing this ball is that even with the 3 inch pin, this ball doesn't really burn up. You can still see how much it response in the back part of the lane. It is closer to the MVP Pearl than the MVP reaction wise but picks up the lane about 2-3 feet sooner than the Pearl.

The MVP Attitude is the 3rd MVP in Roto's HP2 line, and while it's a hybrid like the original MVP, it's quite a bit different on the lane. The MVP was strong, heavy rolling, and really quick on friction. The Attitude is rolly, but doesn't feel like it wants to be quite as early despite the sanded cover, and blends the backend part of the lane very well. It's very continuous like the previous MVPs, and the shape and look on the lane is familiar, but for me it takes the idea of the original MVP and makes it more usable and effective. Not as heavy rolling and relentlessly strong on friction, but still rolly, still continuous, and quite versatile. It's controlled enough to play straighter, and has enough wheels and continuation to not just play from deep, but be effective from deep. The Attitude is a quite refined reaction, it's good at blending cliffs on house patterns, and giving you controllable strength on tougher patterns.

Cover: VTC-H20 Hybrid Core: Neutron NXT Finish: 3000 RG: 2.55 Differential: 0.040 Me: Right-Handed Tweener Speed: 12-13 mph Rev Rate: 315 PAP: 4 7/8 Right 3/8 Up Ball Layout: Pin Over Ring 4 3/4 Pin to Pap 1 1/2 Pin Buffer Roto Grip has added a dull finished hybrid to their MVP line of HP2 balls. The Neutron NXT core has been a great success, showcasing great motion and continuation consistently outperforming its price point. The VTC-H20 Hybrid cover and it's 3000 grit finish adds more mid-lane motion to the line, making it more useful on higher volumes of oil. I tested the MVP Attitude on a house-shot on a fairly high-friction surface. It did coincide with the house adding a bit of volume to the pattern. The timing worked out to my advantage as I got my hands on the ball that fit perfectly into the spot i needed it. The added volume tended to show up down-lane as opposed to in the front of the lane as was intended. The fronts still hooked but it was easy for the ball to push too far down-lane to the right and not recover. The trick was getting the ball to see the mid-lane without overreacting so that you could start creating angle back to the pocket before reaching the out-of-bounds. The MVP gives you the ball roll of a solid cover with the continuation of a hybrid. It is clean enough to play the track but continuous enough to play the transition. You don't really run into trouble with it until you have to get in and cover a lot of boards. Even then you can trick it by limiting angle and letting your hand around it a little more.

There's a new MVP in town and he's got a huge Attitude. Introducing the newest addition to the Roto Grip MVP series, the MVP Attitude. The new MVP Attitude has the same MVP core, but wrapped in a VTC-H20 Hybrid reactive coverstock. What I see out of this new MVP is that it is the strongest and smoothest out of the MVP's we have so far. This ball is fits perfectly right under the Wild Streak. When the wild streak becomes too strong to keep in front of you and doesn't give you enough dowlane motion when you have to chase it left, the MVP Attitude is the ball to go to. To compare it to the rest of the MVP line, you would start out with the new MVP Attitude on the fresh, then go straight into the original MVP and then when a player really needs to open up the lane, you go to the MVP Pearl. Really nice progression out of this series and if you want to be an MVP on the lanes, make sure you get the new MVP Attitude.

I've loved quite a few Roto balls in the HP2 line. Winners are still my go to's on lighter volume patterns and I remember loving the Wreck series back in the day. The MVPs for me have been very quick off the spot and I say that in regards to the MVP and the MVP Pearl. Where others find them slow and forward, I see them just the opposite. I was anticipating a release that had the same core but a stronger cover and that's what we have with the MVP Attitude. The stronger cover allows it to be that more forward shape I was looking for. This ball will me very good on the medium volume patterns and the shorter patterns where you need stronger covers to blend the pattern out. I am looking forward to throwing this ball!

Rotogrip MVP Attitude Layout: 50x5x40 Surface: Box Finish Lane Condition: THS medium volume The Rotogrip Hustle HYB was a favorite of mine. The MVP attitude shares a slightly stronger version of that same coverstock. Looking at the numbers, I wanted something similar to my Phaze II but with less overall hook that I could use on our house pattern that tends to dry up pretty quick. The MVP attitude was perfect and exactly what I wanted! I can see this as my first ball out of the ball on the house shot and even some medium length and medium volume sport patterns. The MVP attitude reads the midlane well and has enough backend pop to create greater entry angles than you typically see with strongish symmetrical hybrids. I can't wait to get back into leagues! Roto Grip MVP Attitude Layout – 55 x 5 x 10 I liked the MVP Pearl more than I thought I would. I was a big Dare Devil fan so when the MVP series followed they had some big shoes to fill. I have the MVP Attitude about 4-5 boards stronger and 2-3 feet sooner than the Hustle PBR. It feels like it gets through the front of the lane with ease and "torques" in the body of the lane. It stands up and changes direction more than you would expect a ball at this price! Speed dominant players looking for a mid range ball, this is your ball!

The Neutron NXT core from the original MVP returns although this time it's combined with a new cover, VTC-H20 Hybrid Reactive Coverstock. This ball will be ideal for those medium oil conditions where you're looking for a clean reaction through the front yet a back off of angularity down lane. If the MVP pearl is too clean and not seeing the break point soon enough the Attitude should do the trick. There is a lot of bang for your buck with this technology in this price point range.

Ball Specs: Roto Grip MVP Attitude Cover: 3000 VTC-H20™ Hybrid Reactive Weight Block: Neutron NXT™ Core (Symmetrical) Color: Golden Pearl/Violet Pearl/Purple Solid Review: Wow... this ball is way stronger than we were anticipating... and its out of the box at 3000. Seems crazy! You will find a LOT of mid lane traction and a lot of response to friction. This has to be the most bang for your buck if you have someone in the shop looking for hook on a budget. This ball is engineered for medium oil but we could see this working easily on very oily conditions with lower ball speed or moving your feet slightly to the right. Another option for oily lanes would be to alter the cover to 1500. If you purchase this ball and want to cut a little bit of overall aggression you could consider polishing it and not loose any continuation through the pins. Basically, this ball is very versatile and can be changed to fit your game. This ball has a lot of shock effect so do some research into a matchmaker near you and take it for a whirl!
