Break Free... Rules? Spend your life following rules and you’ll miss all the excitement. Me? I don’t follow rules; I make them. My Chaotic™ Core unleashes its dynamic motion and adapts to any lane condition. Pair that with my Micro DNA™ Solid Reactive Coverstock and I’ve got all the traction I need. The heaviest oil can’t faze me as I shred the rulebook and my competition. Chaotic to the Core... I don’t do rules. Turmoil, disorder, and bedlam: that’s my comfort zone. My Chaotic™ Core gives me consistent axis migration, defined RG bands and the freedom to unleash as much or as little anarchy as I please. Take a bite out of the rule book... I’ve got the meanest cover Roto Grip has ever created. I shred oil patterns no matter how heavy they are. My Micro DNA™ Solid Reactive Coverstock is ready for anything they can throw at me. The lanes think they’re tough — they’ll find out I’m tougher. Out of the box with audacity... I come out of the box with a superior 2000-grit pad finish, ready to shoot down the lane and blast through the pins with a reckless abandon. Shine me up, sand me down, It doesn’t matter. I’m ready to write my own rules. Are you?

No Rules is what this ball has lol.Roto Grips new high end ball hp4 line.I really like what roto grip did with this ball the roll and shape this ball gives is amazing.ive used this ball on more sport patterns with more volume, gives me more then enough room and hook I need with still great backend and entry angle at the backend of the lane.ive left the ball box finish and added surface to it as it tends to shine up pretty quick with the amount of oil the ball picks up,i suggest to keep the 2000 abaron pad with you to clean after a lot of use just to maintain the shell and performance of this great ball.drilled mine 60x4/1/4x40. IF you looking for a ball that can have no rules on the lanes and just do what it wants pick this ball up you will be very impressed what it can do.

The No Rules is the latest ball released in the HP4 line of Roto Grip bowling balls. The No Rules has a new core called Chaotic, and an enhanced version of the micro-bite cover from the Hyper Cell called Micro DNA. This ball is bright with the neon orange, black, and neon green color combination. The No Rules is the replacement for the Hyper Cell in the HP4 line. I drilled this No Rules with the same layout as my Hyper Cell, 3 ¾ x 6 ¼ x 2 ½. The Hyper Cell has been very good for me on heavier, flatter patterns, that I need a slow transition of my mass bias, as to not stand up too hard or too soon, which is why I tried the same layout on this No Rules. The No Rules stands up earlier, and has a stronger change of direction than the Hyper Cell. I have used the No Rules on many different patterns, with a few different surface changes. With this layout, my No Rules has actually been the best with about 500-1000 abralon on a long 51 foot medium volume pattern (the old TOC pattern), and to my surprise, highly polished and using a forward rolling release, on Cheetah. For my game, every time I have polished the Micro-bite, or in this case, the Micro DNA cover, I get a smooth transition on the backend of the lane. It doesn't make the ball store all of it's energy and go sideways, like a highly responsive reactive cover usually does for me. For me, the No Rules gives me the best motion through the pins when I can keep it in front of me with moderate head belly. When I start giving away the pocket too much, the layout I choose tends to come in behind the head pin, and if I try to go too direct at the pocket, the No Rules stands up too hard and goes through the face on me. I believe this is why the No Rules has rolled best for me either highly polished on short patterns, or very dull on longer lighter patterns. The No Rules has looked incredible for bowlers in my area that are more speed dominate, or bowlers bowling on very high volumes of oil. If you plan on bowling on some high volume patterns, and your current ball just isn't making the corner, talk to your local pro shop operator about a Roto Grip No Rules, and OWN IT!

Rev Rate: 400 Ball Speed: 17.3 Axis Tilt: 7 Axis Rotation: 45* PAP: 3 3/4 horizontal, 7/8 up Layout: 50 x 4 x 50 I have been keeping my Menace at the top of my bag for heavy oil, only really being able to use it when there is enough volume. It was just replaced with the No Rules. The strength of this ball is something I can't say that I've seen before. On the few occasions that I've rolled it, it's been too early/strong to use for more than a couple of shots. I have used it on our traditionally oily and blended house pattern and I couldn't keep it in the pocket. It just needs more volume that a THS provides (for me). I have the utmost confidence that this ball will be in my bag as the 'oh my god, they are flooded!' option. I am looking forward to finding the pattern that will allow me to use it for more than a couple of shots. If you are looking for something to handle longer patterns or significant volume, the No Rules will not disappoint.

I had my ball drilled with the pin down above the fingers. This provided me with a strong midlane roll and a very effective back end reaction that is continuous though the pin deck! This ball gives provides the hooking power and reaction I need on the longer oil patterns. The new Chaotic core along with the micro DNA Solid coverstock gives me the reaction down the lane I am looking for. I polished this solid cover to get through the heads as the lanes break down. This ball maintains its power all night long. What a great addition to the HP4 line and my arsenal. The No Rules is my first ball out of my bag on sport shot or tournament condition. Roto Grip No Rules Layout: Pin above the bridge, cg kicked out the right Condition: 41 ft, HPL House Pattern Volume: Medium to Heavy The No Rules introduces a new coverstock and core to the HP4 line for Roto Grip. With this ball I was expecting it to hook and was not disappointed. I used a very versatile layout for this ball which allows me to play in the oil and slow down some to create angle or get firm, square up and go down the boards rather across them. This ball is also is well receptive to surface change and polish. if you want to had some length to the ball feel free to polish it or roll a touch earlier, then hit it with an abralon pad, there is no rules to surface changes on this ball to create the match up you want. The color scheme and shelf appeal for this ball is outstanding. Whatever you prefer if its performance or shelf appeal this ball is a sure winner. Go visit your local pro shop and show everyone there is no rules to your game. Roto Grip Own It.

Weight: 14 lbs. Pin Length: 4" Drilling: 35X4X35 Pattern Length: 40 ft. Pattern Volume: Medium Pattern Type: House Right Handed The No Rules has the new Micro DNA Solid coverstock which gives 5% more traction than the proven Micro Bite cover stock from the Defiant line. This new coverstock is wrapped around the new Chaotic Core and comes out of the box at 2000 grit sanded, but can be polished. The flare potential on this ball is high. I have used the No Rules on house patterns and a sport pattern. For our 40 ft. house pattern, I was able to play further left and still have the ball continue through the pins, without leaving corners. This ball doesn't stop as it goes through the pins. This ball opens up the lane for me, which is something I was lacking in my arsenal. I also used the No Rules on a 44 ft. sport pattern. I was very happy to say it did not disappoint on either pattern. It hit very well for me on the longer sport pattern, and the house pattern alike. If you're looking for a strong, versatile, continuous hooking ball, you'll not be disappointed with the No Rules. I've also experimented with surface changes, bringing it up to 3000, with light polish, and got a bit more of a skid flip motion. This ball is a great fit in my bag in the HP4 line. When it does become too much for the shot, the Wreck-it is the other half of my 1-2 punch. Carol Teel Roto Grip Amateur Staff Member

Roto Grip No Rules Ball Review by PJ Haggerty Wow, wow, wow! A ton of hook. Extremely strong, but usable on several types of patterns. The new No Rules from Roto Grip is the strongest ball in the line! I was a big fan of the Hyper Cell when it was out and I can say with confidence the No Rules has replaced it. I've drilled one No Rules so far and really like how it rolls. The layout is 5 ½ x 4 ½ x 40. I also used a 3000 pad with some water to create a little more length. This layout and surface has created a strong, forward, and controllable motion that has been successful on multiple types of patterns. I've been able to use it on the fresh as well as through the transition periods, which has been extremely nice to see. Later in blocks I've noticed the No Rules is too strong. After it looks like I need to use something else, I have typically gone to something cleaner that will store more energy, like a Snap Lock or Hy-Wire. If you need to replace the strongest ball in your bag or need a ball for medium-heavy lane conditions, the No Rules will fill that need! #OwnIt

The No Rules is the newest release by RotoGrip for their HP4 Line. The No Rules is a Hyper Cell on Steroids! The Combination of the Chaotic Core and Micro DNA Solid coverstock means two words... Continuous Hook! I went pretty conservative on the layout and went with pin below the ring finger with the Mass Bias slightly kicked out. No extra hole was required because the cg was no in line. The Dual angle numbers are 65 X 5 X 70 and that is off my PAP which is 5 5/8 over and ¾ up. I am right handed and my rev rate is around 300 with medium ball speed. I have a similar layout in a Hyper Cell and Critical. I was able to throw all three bowling balls on a house pattern and also a flat US Open like pattern. What was very clear from the beginning is that the No Rules was going to hook! The Hyper Cell and the Critical are strong balls but the No Rules made them look tame. I was at least 5 boards farther left with my feet on the flatter pattern. The biggest difference besides the amount of overall hook was the continuation through the pins. It was impressive even when the lanes started to dry up and was forced to open up the angles the No Rules still finished when the other balls did not. The house pattern is always tricky for me. The over under is always there! The No Rules was plenty strong enough to play the oil line and keep the ball in front of me. The continuation was impressive and allowed me to open up the lane. The longer the oil pattern and with more volume will allow the No Rules to pulverize the pins. Looking for a Huge Hooking Bowling Ball? The No Rules is the Bowling Ball for You!

I was only able to drill one of these ladies, so I'm writing this review based on that ball. I'm speed dominant, have a lower axis rotation and I drilled my NoRules with a strong flaring pin. I tried it out of the box and was let down by the over all motion. I feel like it created so much friction that it lost all of it's energy and hit very weak....my center has a 45ft. pattern with a buff distance of 35ft., so we have plenty of conditioner to make the shells skid. Carry was an issue with box finish and I thought polishing the surface will create better energy retention. It was exactly what this beast needed! After the surface adjustment I was striking at will. I've got about 5 games on it since with a solid 230 plus ave. in all. In the shop, with lower rev and or higher ball speed players, this is the ball to drill. For any tweener type players, like myself, I don't suggest it. Overall it's a great looking ball and I can't wait for the pearl edition! #ownit

The Roto Grip No Rules is the newest release in Roto Grips HP4 line. The No Rules is surrounded with the Micro DNA Solid coverstock and is finished at 2000 grit Matte. The balls motor is the new Chaotic Core and its colors consist of green, orange, and black. I drilled my No Rules with a 55x5.5x45 layout. I knew this ball was going to want to hook so I tried to give it a lower flare, longer layout. This ball hooks A LOT. There isn’t much else to say. The No Rules is very strong on the backend and it will hook from just about any point on the lane. I could play around 5th arrow and the ball still hit hard and carried well and I could take some hand and play a little straighter with some success. This ball needs oil. I recommend this ball for a bowler who needs something to handle oil. The No rules do not like dry lanes and needs oil to make the ball push down lanes. It will handle any longer pattern with heavier volumes of oil.

The No Rules is the latest high-end release from Roto Grip. The combination of the strong asymmetric Chaotic core and the Micro DNA solid coverstock, make this the strongest ball in the Roto line to date. I drilled mine with the pin up in outside of my ring finger (3.5”) and the mass bias just inside of my thumb (4.5”) with a 2.5” pin buffer. I got exactly what I expected out of the No Rules. It revs up quickly and makes a smooth and STRONG move down lane. It is easily the earliest ball in my bag, but it continues extremely well through the pins. In my ball motion video, I threw the No Rules and the Wreck It on a 43’ medium volume sport pattern and was able to get them both to match up very nicely. You can find that video here: https://youtu.be/XwYDJHFiBck.

The new release in the Roto Grip HP4 line is the No Rules. New cover and new core technology from RG. I drilled mine with favorite layout 5.25x4x3.25 pin up. I will have to say that this is the strongest Roto Grip I've drilled. I loved the Cell series which was a great series. I think the No Rules rolls a little earlier but has better backend and continuation. I have used the No Rules on a couple sport shots that had a lot of volume and it was the first ball that I drilled for awhile that allowed me leak it to the OB and still hit the pocket. I added some polish to the cover and allowed me to use it on the larger volume house shots as well. Great addition to the Roto Grip Family. Orientation: Right Handed Rev Rate: 375 RPM Speed: 16-17 MPH PAP: 4 5/8 straight across Location: Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO Pattern: High Volume THS Layout: 50, 4 ¾, 70 The No Rules is an exciting new asymmetrical from Roto Grip. It’s a brand new core and a brand new cover. The core is a modified new version of the “CELL” series cores with some new technology applied. The result is a clean solid that can handle a volume of oil but also continues better than any asym for a long time. Compared to the Cell series balls, the No Rules is a touch earlier and while it has a similar backend, it is much more aggressive as it keeps going more. It’s a great new Asym from those looking for the next big thing from Roto Grip!

No Rules is a very apt name for this ball, because it seems to "break" a few rules of ball reaction as this ball does several things that you normally wouldn't be able to combine. Namely, for as strong as it is, it's very easy through the heads, and very clean at the breakpoint. It's also continuous, handles angle well, and doesn't burn up on friction. While it's not sharp enough on the backend to just fling through a puddle, it's very responsive to speed, rev, and hand position changes, as its characteristics are not ball dominant, it's more of a precision tool. As far as total hook, it's on par with the Menace and Alpha Crux, with its shape being directly between them. It's not as smooth and arc-y as the Menace, while not as sharp off the breakpoint as the Alpha.

Want hook? This is the ball for you! Roto Grips latest addition to the HP-4 Line, NO RULES, features a brand new weight block. The Chaotic core has a 2.51 RG with .053 Diff and .018 INT Diff combined with the Micro DNA coverstock the ball motion this creates equals HOOK! At the 2000 abralon out of box finish, I found this ball to be the most hooking ball in my arsenal. I drilled my No Rules with a 50° x 5? x 40° putting the pin above my ring finger. The ball motion that I get out of the No rules is that i can get the ball right and have no worries about it hooking back. The best part about this ball is that it never quits. Normally high end asymmetrical balls quit or roll out. This one seems to read the mid lane while still maintaining its energy and not quitting on the backend. I drilled this ball as aggressive as possible. I placed a light polish on the ball and the results I got were amazing. During the beginning of league play I started out standing 35 and throwing to about 4 to 5. The reaction at the end was awesome. The ball snapped back to the pocket and destroyed the pins. The ball kept the pins low for maximum carry. When the lanes began to break down I moved the ball inside to around 15. The ball rolled smoothly in oil and still had the no how to not overreact when it reach the back end. She sat and tracked well into the pocket with the same pin carry. This ball is a must and it will be the ball of the year. Amazing reaction and Amazing results.

Bowler: Keven Williams Hand: Left Speed: 18.5mph Rev Rate: 450rpm Oil Pattern: Typical House Shot The Roto Grip No Rules is a hooking machine. The new HP4 ball replaced the Roto Grip Hyper Cell but in my opinion the No Rules is much cleaner in the front part of the lane than the Hyper Cell. The No Rules is going to be a very versatile asymmetrical ball which is hard to come by these days. The No Rules hooks on oil and blends out friction. The No Rules rolls good on conditions from house shots to sports patterns. This is a great ball to add to the arsenal.

Roto Grip NO RULES Layout: 45 x 4 7/8th x 45 Finish: 2000 grit Condition: 42 ft. THS on older HPL with a KEGEL FLEX with Fire and Ice conditioners with Defense-C cleaner. Test results compared to the Eternal Cell: The No Rules is “No Joke”, it covers more boards off the pattern that ANY BALL I have used in the past. With the great color selection on this ball, it is very easy to read the changes in the motion down lane, which makes it easier to make those minor adjustments. The No Rules was 6-8 boards stronger than the Eternal Cell, which to me was my best ball on THS this past season. Even after beating the pattern up with about 10 games, I only needed to make minor adjustments on the lane and approach, because I can read the ball motion so well. I squared up a little and look tighter in, and the ball still hooked a ton. Even with the amount of volume we have in the middle of our house pattern, it still hooked through it. A great ball if you are going to use on the larger volume THS, or on hard surfaces like Brunswick and HPL lane patterns. I know this is going to be the ball of the year. No Rules ball = No pins left standing.
