THEY CAN PREPARE, BUT THEY’LL NEVER BE READY. inflict madness on the masses, roaming from lane to lane spreading chaos and destruction. With unmatched power and aggression, I will annihilate the pins and savor my enemies’ howls of defeat as I venture on to my next assault. THERE’S A MADNESS TO MY METHOD. With a soul of fury and power, my Late Roll 69™ Core clears the front of the lane as I bide my time until the perfect moment. Then I kick with all my might to demolish the pins while inflicting panic amongst my opponents. IT’S ALL ABOUT MY BREAKING POINT. My 67MH™ Solid Reactive Coverstock is factory polished for good length, but I can also mix it up with a light sanding to unload punishment from a variety of breakpoints. DOWN DEEP, I REALLY AM CRAZY. With my late breaking core and factory shined coverstock, I am a downlane maniac. Unleashing my brutal assault in medium-heavy oil conditions, I leave no doubt about my intentions — utter destruction.

COVERSTOCK NAME: 67MH™ COVERSTOCK STYLE: SOLID COVERSTOCK TYPE: REACTIVE WEIGHT BLOCK: LATE ROLL 69™ COLOR: YELLOW / PURPLE FINISH: 1500-GRIT POLISHED FINISH: METHOD CAN BE SANDED DUROMETER: 73-75 ON D-SCALE FLARE POTENTIAL: 6"+ INCHES/MEDIUM-HIGH WEIGHTS: 12LBS - 16LBS SKU: RYS My layout: 4 x 5 "x 2 My PAP: 4 1/2" over 1 1/4 up The Hysteria from Roto Grip is a very unique bowling ball. It is a shined up solid bowling with a high RG. This means it will get down the lane, and store energy, while other solids may be burning up, and losing energy. I tend to favor solid bowling balls as they tend to be smoother as the roll down the lane. This shiny ball rolls very smoothly yet packs quite a punch at the pocket. The Hysteria is a ball that should allow you to play straighter, which is a big positive for guys like me who throw it straight, because we tend to carry better, if we don’t have to move left and throw it right. When the lanes start to break down I think most bowlers will really appreciate the ball motion of the Hysteria. I know I did!

Roto Grip hysteria Right Handed Experience Advanced (I have bowled in a league and hold a PBA Card) League Average 220 Ball Speed Medium 15-16mph Style Cranker PAP 5 over 1/4" up PSA Layout - Pin kicked out at 45 degree angle and 1/4 pos side Balance Hole - yes Surface Preparation - Out of Box (1500 Grit polished) What I Was Looking For from this ball: A polished solid that was good and clean through the front portion of the lanes and consistent on the backends. What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout: What I was looking for. A solid with a predictable backend and good length through the front portion of the lane. The Hysteria rolls strong and continuous off of the break point and doesnt have a hard motion but does have a strong rolling motion to the pocket and throughout the rack. I tested this ball on a fresh pattern at my local center I manage and own my pro shop in. The pattern if a typical house shot with a heavy concentration in the center and a gradual decrease outward towards the gutter. The first set of games I wasnt sure what I really I wanted to do with this ball. I moved various spots on the lanes trying different things. Finally, when I got a few games on this ball it started to react like I expected it too. I ended up over the course of the next games staying around the track area but more direct than I play normally. What a difference a few games on the ball made! I started crushing the pocket with authority. The ball kept it great motion down the lane and was extremely predictable off of the dry. I was also impressed by how hard it hit the pins and kept them very low as well. I was able later in my practice session to get this ball wide and still maintain a hard continuous break to the pocket without a snappy motion. Overall: A fantastic solid! I have had success in the past with solids polished up, but this balls finish gave me what I wanted out of the box. Furthermore, The finish didnt break down like most solids polished up do. Very predictable and extremely strong and continuous off the break point. I suggest this ball to anyone thats a solid fan! Buy it you will like it! Roto Grip Hysteria Layout: 40 X 4 3/4 X 40 55/64 weight hole, 2" deep, 2" below p.a.p. Box Finish Bowler Info: 325 Rev Rate Speed: 16 - 17 MPH Pap - 4 7/16 over, 3/8 up The Hysteria is an incredible ball for house shots or broken down conditions. It gets through the fronts incredibly easy and corners quickly, while still being controllable. It has enough midlane roll to use on fresher shots as long as the cover has been slightly touched with a 3000 abralon pad, but out of the box, it is excellent for a 2nd shift league. Because of how well the ball retains energy, pin carry and continuation through the pins are both well above average. Compared to a similarly drilled Outcry, the Hysteria is 3-4 boards stronger overall, with more downlane hook. The Hysteria is easily 4-5 boards weaker than the Sinister, also. I tested the Hysteria on my 39-foot house shot as well as tournament conditions. I was able to use this ball equally as well under both conditions. The 1500 polished the box finish matched up perfectly for these conditions. My Hysteria is drilled with the pin above the fingers with the CG kicked out toward the PAP. This ball was clean through the front end and produced about 4-6 inches of flare. The ball rolled strong off my hand and in the mid-lane the ball revved up nicely and made a solid, strong move to the pocket. This ball was devastating as it continued to drive through the pin deck (what I have come to expect from Roto Grip). The Hysteria has a very predictable reaction, and with the 2.58 RG and .049 differential and the late roll cover with a polished finish makes it a great addition for the lower rev medium speed league player. As the lanes transition, I could simply move left, play a little deeper and continue to use this ball. I found this ball to be a littler longer than the Asylum or Disturbed. The solid cover of the Hysteria allows the ball to read the fresh oil nicely and make a nice predictable move off the dry area. What I enjoyed the most about this ball is the predictability of the cover. It produced a nice steady hook to the pocket. I was getting 4-6 inches of flair and bouncing the ball off the dry all night. The Hysteria is a great ball for the league or tournament. This ball will make a nice addition to anyone’s arsenal. The Hysteria!! Extending the HP3 Line from Roto Grip, the Hysteria in my opinion, is the reaction Roto Grip has been missing from their symmetrical line of balls for a long time. The 1500 grit polished SOLID cover, wrapped around the late roll core, produces such clean, controllable backend motion, without losing any energy in the front part of the lane. I myself, love solid balls. I need that earlier motion in the mid lane, whereas most pearls and hybrids, still give me a little too much push. So naturally, I migrated straight to the Hysteria. I drilled mine, pin down with no weight hole. To see just how clean the ball would be and how early the ball would be and I actually had to go ahead and put a hole in the P3 location and boy, did I see the true dynamics of the ball. That mid lane reaction was instantly more noticeable. The true surprise, was how great the backend motion still was. Also, I was surprised at how well the carry continued to be. The pins stay low to the deck and seem to want to fall straight back, which increases my strike percentage, and that's the goal of all bowlers, right? So yes, without a doubt, the Hysteria will be in my bag for a long time to come. In fact, just talking about it makes me want to drill another one!! lol A Great ball, at Great price, with Great performance from a Great company! Roto Grip, OWN IT!

The Roto Grip Hysteria is the latest Roto Grip release in the HP3 line of balls. It uses the solid 67MH cover with an all new Late Roll 69 core. The Hysteria has an Rg of 2.58 and Diff of 0.049 in 15lb balls. The Hysteria is yellow and purple in color, which actually blends making it look like it is green, purple and yellow. The Hysteria comes with a factory finish of 1500 grit polished. The polished cover gives the Hysteria nice shelf appeal. The Hysteria is a really good ball that has a specific ball motion, and place in my arsenal. It isn’t a benchmark piece for me, but is a ball that sees the lanes when I am able to bump the track on a house condition. This has really been my experience with about every high Rg and high differential ball that I have thrown over the years. I drilled the Hysteria with a 4 ½” x 2 ¼” x 4 ¾” layout, using the Storm VLS system. My PAP is 5” straight across. I have left the Hysteria at box finish, for testing purposes. The Hysteria glides through the front with a predictable roll. It doesn’t seem to over skid, even though it has a polished finish. As it gets to the breakpoint, it rolls off the spot for me, with a consistent hard move. The Hysteria doesn’t hook too early, and doesn’t over react to the backend of the lane. The Hysteria revs up nicely in the midlane, and gives me control of a house condition. The reaction of the Hysteria is like no other ball that I currently have in my arsenal. The one thing that I have noticed with the Hysteria is, when it is close to the reaction I need, it is awesome! But when the Hysteria goes away, it doesn’t allow me to chase the pattern real deep, and still carry. For me, the cover and core of the Hysteria is at its best when I can allow it to float through the front, and roll off the spot. When I move deeper on the lane, I almost have to force it to the hook spot and I then struggle with carry, as the high Rg doesn’t allow it to face up quick enough to get the ball into a roll through the pins. This is just my experience with how I laid the Hysteria out, and how I throw the ball. I have personally watched other bowlers with higher degrees of axis tilt get the Hysteria back from anywhere on the lane. The Hysteria for me is a ball that I want to keep at third arrow and left on the lane. Once I get deeper, it is time to get a different ball out that corners off the spot harder for me than what the Hysteria does. As I said earlier, the Hysteria will be a great ball for high rev players that want to hook the lane, thanks to the high differential. The Hysteria is more of a control piece for medium rev players, and allows us to play closer to the dry, as the high Rg helps give the ball push, and the solid cover helps the ball roll through the backend of the lane. Low rev players will like the way they can get the Hysteria to hold pocket with carry, when riding just inside the oil line. Thank you for taking the time to read my review of the Hysteria.

The new ball in the Roto Grip HP3 line is the Hysteria. The Hysteria is a reactive solid ball that comes shiny. I drilled mine just like my Asylum, 5 x 5 x 2 3/4 or 60 x 5 x 40. Even with the shiny cover, the ball rolls pretty strong in the midlane for me. Has good backend continual ball motion. Hysteria is not flippy at all but more off a strong roll off of the breakpoint. I have used Hysteria on house patterns. Compared to the Asylum the Hysteria is a lot stronger overall and more forward rolling for me. Hysteria is good step down from the Sinister and Hyper Cell when they start to labor down lane. Right Hander PAP - 4 up 1 1/4 Rev Rate - 400 Tilt - 15 Speed - 17

Hand: Left Ball Speed: 16-17mph Ball Weight: 15lbs PAP: 5 left 7/16 up Degrees of Tilt: 17 Layout: 3 ¼ x 5 5/8 x 2 3/8 The Hysteria is by far one of my all time favorite symmetrical solid balls of all time and favorite solid from the Roto Grip line up. The Hysteria has the same RG and DIFF specs as another favorite the nomad dagger but in a solid cover and a new weight block design that gives this ball a strong back end for a solid cover. The pin is left of the ring ringer and cg straight down from the pin as if it was a “stacked” drilling (which pretty much is) with a low weight hole. With the covers surface at 1500 polished I get a great mid lane read getting through the fronts and strong back end. Some solids polished I don't get a good read but with this particular solid I get a great overall reaction that is predictable and strong. The Hysteria is a great compliment to the sinister another great ball from Roto Grip when the sinister starts to burn up and leave weak corners or come in soft to the pocket the Hysteria will save that energy and give it all to the pocket like a truck. So far the best pattern for me has been house shots or patterns like middle of the road. For a solid cover stock this is truly a great piece for the bag and for any nomad dagger fan this is gonna help the sadness go away if your nomad dagger has run its course and time to replace. The Hysteria is one of my favorite house shot balls in my bag right now. While I haven’t gotten to try it out on sports shot too much yet, for the average league bowler, this is one heck of a ball. I drilled the Hysteria at 80 x 4 x 30. This drilling really allows the Hysteria to make it through those messy heads that we often see in league and get to the break point with the energy to make the turn without jackknifing through the pocket instead of rolling through with some authority. This is normally the first or second ball out of my bag for league nights, If I know I’m at a bit of a drier house first ball out easily, if I’m at a house that has a bit of a heavier volume of oil I’ll start out with something like the Crux and then move into the Hysteria. If you’re looking for a league ball for this season, the Hysteria should be high on that list, because it’s going to drive the competition crazy! Samuel Benifield BowlersMart Buford

This ball is amazing and a very good piece to any arsenal for any bowler. A polished solid gives you many different looks. The Hysteria provides great length and back end. This ball is very clean through the fronts and has a nice controllable but still continuous and unique backed shape. This ball hits very hard and throws the pins very well. The Hysteria is very versatile and allowed me to play different angles from all over the lane. This ball allowed me room for error and blends the lanes very well. Definitely a ball to have in the bag.

From the HP-3 line that produced the ever popular Disturbed, Deranged, and Asylum, now comes a whole new look with the HYSTERIA! This is Roto Grips latest upper mid performance ball with a reaction I haven’t seen in a long time. You all remember the Nomad Solid? Well, this ball is just like it. The Hysteria uses the 67MH coverstock finished at a 1500-polished. Although this is a solid, the factory finish comes shined for a strong and continuous backend motion without hooking in the heads. This ball uses the Late Roll 69 core which helps the ball get through the fronts and demolishing the pins with all its energy. I drilled my Hysteria with a 5 1/4? x 5 1/4?. This is one of my standard layouts to get the ball into a roll while having a strong, continuous backend motion. For me, this ball has a very strong backend. On a hook scale of 1-10 in the backends, this ball is a 10. I have never seen a ball hook so much downlane without quitting when it hits the pins. This ball is a good compliment when you need a ball to pop off the spot. For performance, I give this ball a “A-.” Based off looks, I give this a “A.” I love the color scheme and how the orange logos makes the ball stand out.

Roto Grip Hysteria Ball Review by PJ Haggerty The Hysteria is definitely a shape that filled a gap in our Roto Grip line. After you look past our high performance, HP-4 line, there wasn’t a cleaner, more angular shape to compliment the stronger balls. The Deranged was AWESOME, but might have been a bit too clean. The Hysteria is a perfect step down from the Hyper Cell, Sinister, or Totally Defiant. I’ve only drilled one so far and loved it. I put one of my favorite layouts on it (5 x 4 with a 7/8 hole 2’ under my pap) and love the shape it creates. When the lanes start to transition and I need to move further left, this is the perfect piece. It is stronger than my UpRoar, and fits perfectly under my Sinister and Disturbed. For tournament conditions, I can see using the Hysteria in all areas of the lane. For me, I will most likely use it later in blocks once the lanes have transitioned and the front of the lane has blown open. I do like it with a bit of surface also. By hand, I applied a 2000 pad with medium pressure. This didn’t affect how clean it flies through the front part of the lane, it simply slowed down the response time and created a smoother motion. The Hysteria pairs well with a Disturbed also. I can see those being a nice 1,2 punch for several tournament conditions. To sum it up, If you have a gap after your high performance and mid performance balls, this would be a perfect fit. Go drill one and #OwnIt!!

Rotogrip presents the NEW Hysteria. Another great weapon forged in the HP3 Line. The Hysteria is a High RG (2.58- 15lbs) Symmetric that loves getting long. The late Roll 69 Core in combination with the 67MH Solid Cover helps the ball clear the fronts and save all its energy for the breakpoint. The cover comes factory polished but will take surface changes very well. The Hysteria is one of the most versatile balls to hit the market in some time. If you are looking for a ball for all occasions, look no further than here. I went with a standard pin up drilling. 70º x 5 5/8 x 35º. I find this layout is very controllable and retains a massive amount of energy. I tend to start with this ball down and in (Up 8-10) as the lanes break down this ball has no problem getting back to the pocket. This ball has been my starter since it went to market. It has length, angle and versatility. In my opinion it is the total package for any and every bowler. http://www.rotogrip.com/balls/hysteria http://www.rotogrip.com/balls/asylum

The newest addition to the HP3 line for RotoGrip is the Hysteria. The Hysteria has new weight block called the late roll 69 which increased the Rg value and also raised the differential. Even though the cover stock is solid the Hysteria has some backend! The layout that I used in this beast is pin down under the bridge with the cg kicked out or the dual angle 45 X 5 ½ X 70, the weight hole is located on my VAL at 3 3/8 from my PAP. My coordinates are as follows: PAP 5 5/8 over and ¾ up, Ball speed 15mph to 16mph, Rev Rate around 300 and I am right handed. I used the Hysteria on numerous patterns along with the Disturbed. What I found was on longer patterns the Disturbed allowed me to be more in play because of the earlier roll characteristics. However, when the longer patterns started breaking down and forcing me left the Hysteria was in play! The Hysteria allowed me to play the friction and opened up the lane. The shorter patterns the Hysteria was in play from the beginning of the set to the end. The Hysteria never lost hitting power and the generous length and Dynamic backend was a huge surprise! The Disturbed just rolled too early and did not have enough energy on the backend to knock down a lot of pins. This is where the higher RG and polished cover stock makes a huge difference for the Hysteria. The Hysteria conserves more energy and has more ball motion than a Disturbed (even if the Disturbed is polished). On a typical House Pattern was a toss-up between the two bowling balls…. At the beginning of the set the Disturbed blended out the wet dry and was able to stay in the pocket with ease. I could still chase the pattern left if I wanted too but… I changed to the Hysteria. The Hysteria again allowed me to play more of the friction and the powerful backend made the carry down non-existent. The Disturbed and the Hysteria is good one two punch for anyone’s bowling bag! The Hysteria is a great addition to the already diverse RotoGrip arsenal!

They said this ball is comparable to the nomad, out of all 3 i would say the nomad solid. With the factory finish polish the ball gets through the front part of the lane. The solid cover make the ball able to read the midlane and make a smooth turn to the pocket. Very controllable and predictable. This is a great ball for house shots or medium tournament shots in my opinion. You would need to switch to something like the optimus as the tournament goes on in order for the ball to recover from farther breakpoints as this ball won't usually jump off the spot hard enough.

WOW! This ball is something RotoGrip has been missing for a long time. A High RG Solid with a Performance cover. The combination creates a dynamic and unique reaction. It’s clean through the front, but has an angular and smooth move to the pocket. The result is the Hysteria is a very continuous ball that keeps the pins low and slings them around. I’ve never had more messengers. This would be a great ball for a lot of conditions, especially when you want to tighten up your line and play straighter to the pocket. It will also be a very versatile ball for tougher conditions because it will clear the fronts easily and create a strong controllable reaction down lane. The Hysteria is a must have for RotoGrip fans!

Weight: 14 lbs. Pin Length: 3-4” Drilling: 40 X 3 3/8 X 30 pin up PAP: 3 1/8 & 1/4 up Pattern Length: 39 ft. Pattern Volume: Light/Medium Pattern Type: THS Right Handed The HYSTERIA is a solid reactive ball, with a late roll 69 weight block, and a medium/high flare potential. Box finish is 1500 grit, polished. The color is green/purple. I used the HYSTERIA on our 39 ft. house pattern, at box finish. I found, for me, the HYSTERIA got through the heads and down lane very smooth, with a nice turn, and heavy roll to the pocket. The HYSTERIA is similar to the Nomad solid, which was one of my favorites in it’s time. This will be a perfect benchmark ball for me. I brought the surface to 2000 with no polish, and was able to get this ball to read a little earlier, but surprisingly, it still got through the pins great. I was still able to carry the corners. I added a little polish. The polish, combined with the higher RG in this ball, makes it great for drier patterns as well. This is a great piece for light/medium and even a bit heavier oil patterns. It is a great ball for all levels of bowlers. If you love the Nomad, and HyRoad, you will definitely be a fan of the HYSTERIA. No arsenal should be without this ball! Hysteria - 60 x 4 x 40 pin up - out of the box surface Oil patterns: 42ft Kegel Flex with Fire and Ice oil and 43ft PBA regional pattern Lane surface: HPL installed 10 years ago and rescreened in 2014 On the house pattern this ball was "scary" wicked. To make a good comparison, this ball reminds me alot of the Nomad Solid, with smidge more back end action. Was able to play any part of the lane I wanted to; 5th row, the gutter, or the track area, with even just slightly hitting the cover with a really used 4000ab pad. On the 43ft PBA pattern, it was a little delayed getting to the head pin. So, I hit the cover with an used 3000ab pad and it just gave it enough to make it playable for me. As the pattern broke down, I was able to give it a little more room left and play closer to the gutter and still have a strong enough reaction to get to the pocket and actually a better look then when the pattern was fresh.

Layout : 60x5x40 Ball Speed : 17-18 Rev Rate : 450-500 I will start with I was happy to see the specs on this one ! I usually carry an IQ Tour with some polish on it as my only shiny solid but I really like having the option of a higher RG solid to use when my Hy-Road Solids and IQ Solids are too early and not enough pop down lane. I wasn't a fan of my Asylum or Disturbed with polish on them so I was pumped when I received the info on the Hysteria. This ball is going to be a great ball for me on our house patterns and really any medium pattern when you don't want that uncontrollable reaction that you sometimes get on a typical house conditions with the extreme dry boards to the right and oil left. The Hysteria helps blend out that over/under ball reaction that sometimes develops when everyone on your pair is playing the same part of the lane. The Higher RG helps me get through the front of the lane when it starts to break down but with it being a stronger core with a solid cover it doesn't get me that crazy sideways motion that I don't like to see. The Hysteria is VERY continuous yet controllable on the backend. This is a very unique ball motion that we have not had in the past in the HP3 Line and it will be a great ball when that Asylum or Disturbed starts hooking too early and you need something that gets down the lane and retains a lot of energy.
