Skeptical upon reading about a second benchmark ball, I drilled it the same as the trusty Venom Shock (60x5x75), wanting a little stronger hook with a similar shape. I was very happy to see it delivered as promised with all the hitting power and more I've come to expect from the Motiv line. Another big plus is being able to use multiple hand releases to tweak the move at the breakpoint as needed. For my RPM rate, it is at minimum 5x2 (approach boards - target boards) further left then the Shock. Being a solid, it doesn't read the dry as abruptly as other coverstocks, and nicely overlaps the reaction of several other balls in my arsenal, not paying maximum penalty if a move is transition is missed. The Pride is a ball that will fit well into many different arsenals, no matter the style.

Hands down....PRIDE is my favorite release of 2021. It was close between this and the Purple Tank, but this ball has gone with me everywhere since it was released. When MOTIV has said that this ball is the ultimate benchmark ball, they really mean it. It's worked on a variety of patterns for me and in the short time that the ball has been released, I've already drilled 3 different ones. The difference in shapes is really different in each one and you can drill it to do whatever you want and it does anything and everything extremely well! The new Dominion Core and the Coercion UCS Cover bridges the gap between the Jackal line and Venom line absolutely perfectly and is the definition of what a benchmark ball should be. On top of that, the logo and colors of this ball in person are absolutely stunning. Pictures online don't do the ball justice until you see it in person. Shout out to the R&D team in Michigan for their awesome work developing this ball! Layout: 45 x 4.25 x 40 -Kasey Uyesugi (MOTIV STAFF)

This ball is latest Asym created by MOTIV. The MOTIV Pride is the perfect benchmark piece of equipment. This core to cover combination creates versatility, continuation and fits perfectly into the medium oil position of the ball guide. It features the new technology of the Dominion core, in combination with the latest Coercion reactive cover stock called UCS -Ultimate Continuation Solid. The UCS cover was created by adding more length and more angle to the existing Coercion cover, already made popular by the Jackal Ghost. It's built with the unique specifications to allow players more ball motion control than most symmetric ball, but yet to have the versatility of an aysm, without some of the traditional asymmetric drawbacks. It will be a great fit in your bag on medium oil. This core, cover combination will create versatility like never seen on medium oil conditions. The Pride will become the first ball out of your bag almost every time you bowl and you will found it hard to put it down. The shapes and versatility it creates allows you to stay with this ball longer than most you will ever use. My Pride is laid out with pin just above the ring finger, the cg stacked below the ring finger and the MB about 1" to the right of the thumb. This ball has already found a place in my bag and is usually the first out of my bag when the lanes turn on. If you are looking for that benchmark ball that will give you that great read and then allow you to just keep using it. Look no further, you've found it. Craig Auerbach MOTIV Staff Member Florida

By Bryan k Ramsey From Phillipsburg, NJ About Me Motiv Regional Staff, BowlerX Staff Have PRIDE in your new benchmark Motiv has absolutely nailed it with the new Motiv Pride release, the cover/core combination is absolute money. The pride to this point hasn't left my bag, whether it's league night or I'm heading to a tournament. The look this ball gives you is something completely different then I have seen from Motiv before. I've been able to use this ball on a variety of different shots to this point, just has that consistent and predictable reaction you want, so easy to trust this piece out of your hand. As always she packs a huge punch at the pin deck leaving nothing behind. This ball absolutely should be in your bag, won't be disappointed. Yet another awesome job by Motiv adding another piece to the ball chart. Go get your Motiv Pride today. #MotivNation #TeamX

The first thing I noticed when I drilled up my Pride was how versatile it was. I could play different parts of the lane on a fresh house shot and strike at will from anywhere between 1st and 4th arrow. Even as I moved deeper into the lane I wasn't losing any down lane motion or hitting power through the pins. The combination of the Coercion™ UCS Solid Reactive cover and all new Dominion™ asymmetric core provides me with a true benchmark shape to add to my arsenal that I can rely on in almost any conditions. This will be the first ball out of my bag at tournaments for a long time coming! Layout 55 x 5" x 25 If you are looking for a new, true benchmark ball, the MOTIV Pride is where you will end up. The combination of the Coercion UCS Solid Reactive (finished at 4000 LSS) with the asymmetric Dominion core (2.50RG, .042Diff) creates a strong midlane read without burning too early so you see an even, predictable motion which is perfect for reading any lane condition. With the mid-RG asymmetric Dominion core being brand new, I wanted to put it to the test by laying it out with my typical 'stronger core with length' pin placement that I usually reserve for low RG, high differential engines. The greatest aspect of any benchmark ball is how it reacts in the midlane, and the Pride shines there. Even with this quicker-response pin height, I still have an exceptional ball read whether I am throwing it on the fresh or the first transition. This proto-typical reaction provides great insight into how a pattern is reacting so that I can identify either the proper line to get on or the correct ball to handle the volume on the lane. Once the ball finds its traction and starts its rolling motion towards the pocket, the consistency and predictability makes is very easy to further refine how to attack the lanes. Outside of being a benchmark lane reader, the Pride reacts well in medium-heavy to medium conditions. Easy fronts, the aforementioned midlane read, and smooth backend motion make this ball perfect for anyone looking for control. The best times I have found to use this ball are earlier in the day when the angles you need to play are straighter as steep attack vectors are not its friend. Knowledge is power. The MOTIV Pride will provide you with that lane play strategy so long as you are willing to listen to it. Trent Overbey In the Zone Pro Shop MOTIV Staff www.motivbowling.com

Versatility is the best way to describe the Motiv Pride. The all new Pride features a new core and cover designed to be the ultimate benchmark ball. Motiv did not disappoint. This is a great ball to see the lanes and show you what you need. Previously, the Venom Recoil filled this spot in my bag. With a stronger option, I am now able to start with the Pride and switch to the Recoil seamlessly and stay in the same area for multiple games. I have mine about 4 boards stronger than my Recoil and rolls much sooner. The Pride also pairs nicely with the Supra Enzo if you want to continue moving left as the lanes burn up.

Motiv Staffer Right handed Bowler averages between 215-220 17.5 MPH 400-450 rev rate The ball is a step up from the venom shock there is a lot you can do with this ball to make it roll how you want it to roll. The ball is very continuous and controllable, I love how this ball continues through the pins it hits like a truck. I personally feel that when the Venom shock is just a little to far down the lane and the Venom Recoil is to early and not strong enough to make the turn down lane the Pride is the ball to go to. The pride has been first out of my bag since I got it. Cant wait to play with Surfaces on it to see what the ball will do!

Being a left handed full roller on staff with Motiv, I have had an affinity for the real low end of the RG spectrum and the low/mid end of the diff spectrum. My bag has had a Venom Recoil, Covert Tank, Tank Blitz, Desert Tank, and a Purple Tank since before Nationals. The 6th spot has just been a rotation of the Forge Flare, a Jackal Ghost, or an Alpha Jackal... until now. The day my Pride came in, I was expecting to drill it and it just be too shiny with too much differential for my liking. I've previously had to get away from balls such as the Ripcord Flight and Jackal Flash for just being too long and snappy for me, to cover both ends of the ball chart. I put on my standard layout, laced up, and hoped for the best as this ball was getting really great hype from fellow staffers. The first shot off my hand immediately made me take my Forge Flare out, I'm not joking, it was that easy of a choice. The Pride was everything I needed in my bag. I had been seeking for an asym that would be a step up from my beloved Venom Recoil, as it has gotten hundreds of games on it and I didn't want to drill up a fresh one yet. I found that and more within the two games of trying it all over the pattern. It even had the ability to roll up the track smooth if I took some hand out. I personally hit it with a quick 2000 to knock some of the shine off and don't think I've shot a week under average with it yet. I even was fortunate enough to record an 812 and then a 300 a few days later in another house, but we don't need to talk about the 296 in a 3rd house two days after that (lol). Despite my full roller layout, I've had some friends pick it up and throw it for a few shots and they are hooked too. Venom Recoil lovers will find this ball is the steroid they needed in the bag when the Recoil just isn't quite enough or can't make the corner anymore. Lefties will find this ball opens up the nosebleed seats inside of that big dot in the middle. Full rollers will appreciate the smooth shape. Everyone else will just love it too. If you are looking for that new benchmark because your shock has some mileage, this is it. If you are a big fan of the Jackals but don't like the shape of the Tridents, you should give this a shot to be your ball down. This ball has been first out of my bag whenever possible for three weeks and I'm averaging at least 250 when I throw this ball, and I swear I'm not anything special when it comes to bowling! You should definitely give it a shot if you are looking for the "next Venom Shock" from Motiv.
