Lane Masters Big Bang Bowling Ball

WHAT A BALL!! Damn this is a great ball i used this ball in my county trials and i had only had it for 4 days. i was expecting to finish last but i stuck to aiming at second arrow with decent pace and revs and the ball responded with strike after strike! But in the 5th and 6th games as fatigue kicked in and i started missing my arrow the ball would pass the head pin or stay out wide! oil was still heavy as i am one of the only left handers so had more or less fresh oil on every lane! Great ball to have in your bag i can see this being the first out of my bag for a long time! followed by the satisfaxion! Lane masters really do make the best balls around its true!

CG in center grip. 3" pin 3/4 in right of ring finger. No Weight Hole. This ball out of the box and any house shot I bowled on made for effortless strikes. It never over reacted and always came back when it got too far out. I believe the particles really help when carry down is present. I won tournaments and increased my average by 40 pins with this ball. I love my first Particle ball. It did its best out of the box. I took the gray pad to it after 50 games or so. I got well over a hundred games before it needed a good resurfacing. I have now turned 5 people on to this great West Coast Company.

Got ball drilled on May 31, 2007 by Mike Miller at Ten Pins and More in Rio Rancho, NM. Before drilling ball was 15lbs. 3 oz. with 3 oz of TW and a 3.0" Pin. Ball was drilled with the Pin right of the ring finger with the CG kicked out right with a weight hole. Ball has excellent midlane recovery and it's alot more aggressive on the backend on my typical house pattern(38" buffed to 45" synthetic using CONTROL oil)then I was expecting. In it's current condition (OOB-Sheen)it is currently about 3 boards stronger than my Legends - Black Pearl(OOB-3.0" pin above and right of ring finger with a similar lay-out). I don't know what else to say other than the pin reaction is much livelier than anything else I have thrown outside the L/LM line of balls. Overall, another excellent ball from Legends/Lanemasters! I drilled this ball up with the pin 4 1/8 inches from my PAP and the CG 3 1/8 inches from my PAP. No weight holes was needed. This ball was the strongest out of the ball out of the box that I have tested. The ball was clean through the fronts but made a strong midlane move to the pocket. This ball was about 2-3 boards stronger than the World Class Solid. I have mine drilled stacked over my ring finger; a layout that has proven to give me a tremendous amount of backend with other bowling balls. It doesn't finish with the same kind of backend I was expecting. With more chances to bowl on long/heavy oil patterns this ball could prove to be of great value to me but thus far it hasn't been worthy of coming out of my bag in sanctioned competition. I've had a few interesting leaves on pocket hits that, frankly, have left me in awe. Until I threw this ball on our 46 foot flat pattern I had never left a half-pocket 6-9 or a solid 6-10. I don't really know what to think of those special incidences. Hopefully it was just some terrible pin spotting on one particular day.

First of all, thank you to the staff at Lane Masters for sending the new test balls. I drilled the Big Bang 4" x 4 1/2" from my PAP (positive axis point) and tried it on a variety of shots. On the medium length, medium volume shots, the big bang was incredible. For a duller, higher particle load ball, the ball was very clean through the front part of the lane and still retained a lot of energy to make a strong move at the breakpoint. On the lighter volume and shorter shots, the ball was too aggressive and I had to put it away. On heavily oiled lanes and longer patterns, the ball started its roll at the right time and kept a strong, consistent reaction towards the pocket: strong, smooth, and impressive. I'm anticipating the new releases from Lane Masters/Legends, even moreso now that I have tried their latest balls.
