    Got this ball used after a guy dumped it off at the pro shop I frequent as it was headed for the dumpster. It had developed about a 4 inch long crack from the ring finger, through the pin, and down the right side of the ball. Having messed around with the plugging of cracked balls before (had a great reacting Omega LM that lasted for near 6 years after plugging the crack it developed) I decided to give it a shot and see if I could repair it. Long story short, everything came out great and I threw it on the Haus resurfacer and drilled it up. It had a short pin (1 inch) so I put the pin under the ring finger and the CG directly right of the pin. Drilled the fingers deep and ended up with about 1/2oz finger and 3/4oz positive. I initially put a bit of Sure Shot polish on it, since I figured with the Pearl Particle shell, it would work well and get it down the lane a bit farther than the other Golden Nuggets I've seen.     Only had it 2 months now but it is by far the best ball I've ever thrown. A hammerhead by true nature, this ball has made me a true believer in the power of Lane 1. My Hammers have pushed my averages into the low 200's but with my nugg I have had 3 700+ sets( in Just 2 months!!) I know other guys do better but I'm just a twice a week bowler. Its Gotta be the Ball! I currently at a 240 av for the last 2 months. FLUKE? Naw the ball is just that damn good.

    It's a good ball on oily lanes don't dobt me when i say that it gets lots of action... It just hits hard like WOW hits more like a 22 lb. ball rather than a 16 if your in a no tap league this ball is perfect you'lll either hit so hard and leave the 9 pin or knock them all down... It's good in heavy oil and if thrown correctly it will hook in the shape of a U... This ball can be very nastey and is worth the money if you can find it cheaper than the retail.

THis BAll DOes not hook worth a crap I will try sanding it but i really dont think it matters the other people writting reveiews about this ball must be connected with Lane1 because this ball is truelly crap ALL Around Sucked!!!! !!!! !!!!!     When I first got this ball, I drilled it straight up with a 3 inch pin. Really liked the backend and hit. If this ball its the pocket, it should carry 95% of the time. Bowled with this on PBA patterns, sport patterns, and easy house patterns. Really liked it as a 1st - 3rd game ball. When I hit the 30 game mark, something happened. The ball just stopped hooking. Cleaned re-polished. nothing. Shocked, I sanded it to 1500, now it is back to normal. Nice med-oil once slightly sanded 111 1 1 1 1 1 11 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1

    It got this ball of my friend you quit bowling and put 9 games on it. the ball was drilled label leverage still with my friends drilling on it so it didn't fit my hand. However, it was small enough to be gripable. I threw a 724 series with it and all i could say was wow! The arc was so smooth and very strong. A lot stronger than expected and the pin carry was incomparable. Being a hammer head, it is hard to believe something hits harder but it's true. There isn't much more I can say but when i get it re-drilled for my hand I will update. Lane #1 is pricey but now I can see why.

    i drillled this ball pin above the ring finger and the cg kick out. same drill as my black cherry. the hits hard a good ball for me when the lanes start to brake down and can't keep the cherry on the lane. i went to this ball and it hook 10 boards less than the cherry. over all i thought this would be a great ball for when the lanes brake down. the only bad thing about this is the color is gold and put black grips in it add revs and this thing a not a good sight going down the lane. but its not the color that knocks down the pins.

    I laid this ball out with a 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" layout. Didn't know what to expect with this ball, so I didn't want to go too weak, and I didn't want to go to strong. This layout gave me midlane read and a smooth arcing move to the pocket. I found this ball to be a couple boards strong the Lanemaster Answer that I also threw. On the medium oil shots this ball was great in the fresh, as the night went on, the ball would grab a little to early, and with a little adjustment, I was right back in the pocket. When I threw the Black Cherry next to this ball, The Golden was a couple boards less hook overall then the Black Cherry. Any questions, please email me at Bill@buddiesproshop.com Thanks Bill

    For finatics the ball is drilled as LABEL in LANE 1 Drilling Specs! First night with the ball I got to the lanes late and did not practice. Medium oil .. shot 234 and missed a couple of spares that I normally would make. The ball arced to the pocket and I knew just where to lay it for a pocket hit. The lanes changed in the second game but a slight move kept the ball in the pocket. Finshed with the GN and DID NOT HAVE to change the ball. Excellent results. Next night I hit MED/DRY conditions and the ball was a flop. No adjustments could keep the ball on track! Yes .. the ball is designed for MED/HVY .. and I'd expect to have to adjust OUTSIDE OF THE CONDITION DESIGNED for .. but I WAS UNABLE TOO .. That's my experience .. let's see what time brings from others!
