Lane #1 Cobalt Bomb Pearl Bowling Ball

(6 reviews) Write a Review
A new and terrible danger for bowlers worldwide, Lane #1 Cobalt Bomb leaves a wide path of destruction on medium to drier lanes as it glides quicker and flips harder down the lane, destroying pins. More hazardous then Uranium238 due to its long half life, the Cobalt Bomb gains its energy from the combination of our Doomsday Dirty Bomb core with an intensely radioactive Fusion 105 coverstock. An Atomic force unmatched in bowling today, the Cobalt Bomb puts the pins and the competition in danger.

Excellent ball for your typical house shot.. third arrow out to between 7 and 10 and finds its way nicely back to the pocket.. Smooth transition on this oil. Get too much oil and it will just slide.. But, get too much oil and move inside and you can play up 15 straight to the pocket with that mini break, or swing it across 20 to 15 for a crushing blow. Mine is drilled CG leverage with a balance hole. High game of 289 with this ball and 742 and 746 series. Nice ball from Lane #1, another BUZZSAW keeper.

I am seriously disappointed in this ball. In my opinion Lane #1 has had a serious decrease in the quality of their equipment. This one is just another addition to the list of recent flops. This ball is 15#, 3oz Top, and pin out 3.5. CG kicked out with the pin under ring. I have thrown the ball on 7 different shots. The ball does not read the lane well and does not produce the skid flip as advertised. The only condition I found any success was on a fresh house shot (christmas tree patern) and stripped backends. I have sold Lane #1 for 10 years and these continued flops may force me to quit selling them. Early lane#1 balls (Buzzsaws and Viper) were AWSOME. The equipment in the last 5 years is just not the same. STEP UP LANE #1 you used to be the best.

I drilled the ball leverage weight with a axis hole on the side. I wanted the ball to go long and straight as an arrow then flip hard on the backend. When this ball hits the pocket, it hits like a mack truck with an explosion making alot of pin action out of it. I normaly roll a 2 or 3 piece ball but this one is a 5 piece. This ball like all the lanes one balls drive thru the pocket and never quits or rolls out on you. Need to roll this ball with speed if not then the ball will snap to hard for you.

this its the best ball ever made better than cuda better than every thing i have tow of this great ball one is drilled for a skid flip reaction on mediun to heavy oil and the other is drilled for skid flip reaction pn medium to dry lanes the one that is for "oily lanes" is drilled with the pin next to ring finger and the cg kicked out about 2 inches from Cg with a little balance hole and it work pretty well on all lane condition its has a great lenght to about 48-49 feet and then made a hard turn to the left an kabooom a bomb explodes hit very very hard hit like no other ball the best simply and the other ball i have only use it two times it has the pin over the ring finger and the cg stacked below the pini can use it even on medium to heavy oil but i just use it when the lanes are very dry !!! hits like a HUMMER or hiroshima bomb hit very very hard too has little less lenght but has more controlable arc great balls both im looking for my third one !!!

First of all I would like to thank drillwizard (David Schoen) for laying out and drilling this ball. Ball Specs; 15 lb. 4 oz, Pin 2-3, TW 3.6 Pin under ring, CG stacked directly underneath with X hole. This drilling promotes a strong backend, but with pin under you won't get too much length and squirt through the breakpoint. Style; Medium Rev Rate, Semi Spinner, 15/16 mph, PAP 4">, 1/16 Down Picture link; http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=4/9316214238.jpg&s=x10 http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=4/9316242278.jpg&s=x10 Surface was OOB Synthetic Lanes, 36 ft. buffed to 44 ft. , Medium oil in middle tapers out to gutters light/almost dry. Have used this ball twice now in subbing on a league, and WOW !!!! Ball is much stronger then what Lane 1 has advertised. Does not have a flip for me but a very HARD STRONG arc. In subbing the 2 weeks I have yet to leave a ten pin, most of the time (unless operator error) hardly any pins are left on the deck, pins are kept low
