I...well, actualy my friend found this ball on the used rack of our local pro shop. It was pre-drilled for length, pin over and the CG kicked slightly right, with grips and a slug, and fit us almost perfectly! We asked if we could throw it for a few games since both of us were wanting to experiment with grips. It was love at first toss for me! It went long and came back hard. Needless to say I bought it for 50 bucks! I used it 2 days later in my Monday night league and shot 720! LOL Not bad for a second hand ball that was drilled for a stranger! It never rolled out on me, and it gave me about a 3-5 board track to the pocket! For everyone out there, keep your eye on the used balls in your local pro shop! You never know what you'll find!

i got the hawg to help me on heavy oil but the ball would just not react at all. it gave me a horrible backend reaction and moved about 2 boards at the most. so i took it to a dryier lane and that added about 6 boards to the reaction. so i bought the ball looking for a heavy oil ball but got a medium to light oil ball. so in the end i went out end got a total infrno now that is a wonderful ball i threw 11 in a row for a 299 first time using it.

I find the Hawg Zilla to be the best ball Hammer has made it out performs the Black Widow in boards covered, Total hook outshines the No Mercy and the Toxic is blows it to the dust. The Zilla should still be made by hammer because with exepctions to the Anger, Pearl and Beat'n it killed the Hammer balls up to and including 2006 If you find this ball you must buy even if it had been used for 100 games use it and it will work for you if your a stroker and play outside 1st arrow it will work in you crank the ball it will work for you and out-perfom all other balls made by hammer last year. In my Summer League I averaged 15 pins better then what I did on my Youth league and my high game was 278 with a 683 series. Get your hands on this ball<s

Well I got this ball on my birthday. so I have had this ball for a while now. The best game i have thrown with that ball is a 237 and the best series is 609. This ball is great at first and then started to loose some grip and hookage. But I learned to adjust to the weaker hook. This ball is great for some one that is looking for a medium hook. you dont have to throw alot of speed to get a huge hook on it. I get a bigger hook by throwing it slower. But I really dont have to many problems with it. Its a good ball if your looking for a calmer ball.

(BEST BALL EVER MADE) "very speed sensitive though...." I was getting sick of my ebonite xxxcel, it just didnt hit hard. The xxxcel started dying on me too. I cleaned it every 3 games with lane masters cleaner to renew the surface. The cleaner was amazing but after 100+ games it just started weakening. so i got a hammer hawg zilla. first ball I stood 1 arrow to the left of the middle and whipped it out to the 2nd arrow and it came back so hard it was a brooklyn. this ball is definitley the hardest hitting most agressive ball I have ever seen. I went from a ebonite guy to hammer and I will stay hammer forever. if you want a large hook with an extremley agressive backend snap you should go with this ball. factory finish is great for strokers. crankers need a super high gloss polish if they want to throw this beast.

I got this ball about a month ago and I couldn't be happier. This ball has been smooth and predictable every time I have used it. A friend of mine bought a Black Widow and I really didn't like it. He has had his Black Widow for about a month and a half and he is already considering a new ball. I have bowled with this ball with the factory finish and I don't think I'll change. The only negative about the Hawg Zilla is that it is way too strong for dry lanes. It's hard to keep the ball away from the Brooklyn side when the lanes dry out.

Ball Specs: 15lb 3oz, 3.5 oz topwight, 3 1/2 " pin. Drilled with the pin about 1/2" above and slightly outside my ring finger, CG kicked out about 35-45 deg. Got this ball to address a need for a heavier oil ball for the new shot they've begun to put down in my Tuesday night league. I wanted something that would allow me to play my preferred inside line in the heavier volume of oil we are now seeing. After 3 nights of league I can now say, without any doubt that this is the best Hammer I thrown since the Real Deal or the Original Blade Reactive. Playing my favorite line, standing at 30 and playing between the 3rd and 4th arrow out to about 10-12 at 40 feet, this ball give me the perfect look. It clears the heads easily, smoothly picks up its roll at about 30-35 feet, and then just starts driving toward the pocket with a smooth arc that seems to sharpen as it encounters more friction at about 45 feet. This may be the hardest hitting Hammer I've ever thrown, and that is really saying

Great ball, well done hammer, my favorite hammer yet, One of the best balls out without question, great movement and works well for strokers or tweeners, sorry only two rolls i got in my hand. On my stroker roll with a lil polish from cleaning over time, this ball is perfect finds the pocket almost everytime, and if it does then the pins are history, light shots give strikes as well. This ball works well on everything from medium which you have to open up the lanes a little more, and on heavy which i play down and in. AWESOME

If you are looking for a ball that will hook, look no further. The hawgzilla takes care of the hook. It was hooking so much, I had to ad 3 mph to my speed. That just intensified the explosion when the zilla hit the pocket!! I would Definetely recommend this ball to a stroker. If you are a cranker, you may be frustrated unless you were born in BROOKLYN, becasue you will not get the Zilla to stay in the pocket!! I like this ball because it allows me the freedom to move boards or increase speed. The backend reaction is second to none. The explosion that occurs will definitely be noticed by everyone around you!!!

I average about a 145 right now and in my fourth game with the ball I hit my second +200 game ever! Mind you, I'm still learning my own game and gaining consistancy, however, as long as I hit my line give or take a board on either side, it'll strike. If I miss my line by more than a board or two on the inside, or if I pull it, it'll still save me from what should have been a nasty split! I had no problem finding my initial line with this ball because it does the same thing every time. I also learned my spare footing quite quickly for the same reason. Oh, yeah, I got the same color green in my fingertips and thumb slug as what's on the lettering of the ball, and it looks great going down the lane!

I had this ball drilled 75 degree's pin down. It's supposed to be early and smooth, well, it's smooth thats for sure I was going to use this on a 44 foot sport shot, BUT it jsut didn't have the muscle to move on it, it worked much better on the 40 foot sport shot. As for house condition, it's decent, I doubt I am ever going to use it in tournaments, it jsut doesn't fit into my arsenal like I hoped it would. This is the first Hammer ball I have been dissapointed with, I'm thinking a black widow would have been a better choice. EDIT (AGAIN!) I lied, this ball sucks... I can't stand it, it needs to be thrown very slow fro ti to catch the breakpoint, this pile needs to be thrown off a bridge...

I changed my equipment from Brunswick to Hammerbowling. My balls: Big Deal, Road Hawg, Vibe Blue and know the Hawg Zilla! I think all my Hammer bowling balls are great, but the Zilla is just a little bit better than the others. Pincarry is absolute unbelieveable. It is easy to controll and the backend reaction is stronger than ever. Every time it hit`s the pocket it get all ten down!!!! Great great great ball. Be careful with your ballspeed. Do not throuw it too slow. Dry lanes are tabu too!! Beautiful colour! Look´`s nice going down the lane.

To be honest, the ball isn't all I expected, but as a whole is a great performer. The ball loves oil. Gallons of it. When the oil goes away, put this beast in the bag before the 10 pins start popping around everywhere--this is definitely a ball that will burn up before it reaches the breakpoint without a lot of oil up front. Extremely good read of the midlane gives the ball a great angular reaction at the breakpoint. One of the strongest balls that I've ever thrown. The ball is extremely consistent, but is also very speed sensitive. The slightest bit of speed variation will cause the ball to overreact at the breakpoint by a wide margin. Have yet to throw it on a long sport shot, but a 34 foot shot was pretty interesting. This ball allowed me, as a tweener, to play third arrow to the 4 board and crush the hole time and time again. Great engine, great coverstock.

The Hawg Zilla is without a doubt the best of all the Hawg series balls. The new Ultra Violent coverstock produces a more angular breakpoint out of the box than its predecessor the Road Hawg. The Ultra Violent coverstock is also much more adjustable, taking to a shine easily. When shined, the Hawg Zilla is much more skid/flip. Comparing this ball to the Black Widow, which utilizes a similar coverstock, the Zilla is a much better ball for heavier. In box finish, it is 5-10 boards more (depending on bowler’s rev rate) overall hook than the Black Widow. When polished this ball is more angular down the lane than the Black Widow. What more can we say besides that it hooks, and hooks where you want it to hook: mid lane and down the lane. Even with the weaker layout that was used, the ball still flat-out hooked. For hammer loversor at that any bowler who wants hook, this is a must have. Lower to medium rev players I highly recommend using this ball in box finish. For higher rev players pol

I was looking for a ball that I could use when the lanes had heavy oil. I had the Pro shop drill the ball to track my normal shot. I found a ball that cranks hard and finishes strong. I shot a couple of games the day it was drilled and had a 235. The next time I went out I bowled eight games and averaged 218. I'm normally a 189 average bowler. It was very forgiving. Once I found the shot if the ball got away from me it seemed to find its way back to the pocket. Great ball. I have High expectations
