*Edit* A year later and this ball still works wonders. I have found that by altering my release (I now release the ball more in the style used by chris barnes) I can go back "inside". When the shot breaks down, I can use the same line that I use for my Blade Particle. My Pin is directly beside my ring finger and slighty above it (my pinky finger is kept "in" and it covers the pin). The CG is kicked in a bit to where it is under my palm...below my ring finger. If you are bowling on a THS and need something for the 3rd game/late 2nd game, this ball is a wise option. Don't be fooled by the lower price...it hooks/hits better than some of the big money balls...

Really a great ball for the medium speed bowler. Me i throw slow with alot of rev's so was hoping this one would help, but by moving far left and throwing at first arrow ball does great with tremendus backend power. Does great on oil for me but then again i don't need a heavy oil ball cause of my speed. If ya all rememeber the old Rhino Gold its a hell alot alike. IF ya want total pin destruction on medium oil, this is the ball! Gonna try the Ebonite Stinger pearl next week so will see what happens :)

First: the Look.. This ball looks much nicer then the picture shows.. least to me.. very nice ..very.. and looks great going down the lanes.. now... I wanted a ball that would go long and snap into the 1-3 with some power. Well, they call it Hammer and it does. I got the pin placed right under my pinky on a 1"-2" pin placement with finger tipped drilling of course. I have a walk from the 15th board to the 10th and released on the second arrow or 1-3 boards less depending on lane. Wrist band helps me keep it there.. the ball goes nice and rolls out about two thirds down gaining speed so it looks.. then snap... it heads for the 1-3 pocket with awesome power from an average roll. I have left some 10 pins but I would blame bowler over bowling ball. I am really enjoying this ball. Find a good driller and let him know how you want this ball to roll and snap and I believe it can do it. This is a winner for Hammer and hopefully the outside cover will hold up for a long time and the pow

This ball performs well on dry lanes. It has a nice even, predictable arc on dry lanes where the backend is clean. I have averaged 220+ on dry lanes with this ball. It is very sweet. The only problem I have seen with this ball is oil on the front part of the lane and carrydown. When there are clean backends, it makes for a gimme shot with this ball. Though you may leave a ten pin or two. Don't get me wrong though, the ball does hit like a powerhouse on dry conditions and it is very controllable.

This ball is great!! It hits like a truck! almost to solid, because i leave 9 pins a lot. My average went from one hundred sixty to a one hundred seventy-five in a matter of a month! Get this ball! It's only ninety bucks! It is beautiful, i bowled a two hundred fifty-seven and a series of other two hundred games at the same time! It hooks a perfect amount, not to much, and not to little, and hits like you cannot believe!! Sorry i spelled out the numbers but i had to to write out a minimum of one hundred words and i couldn't do it

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a solid 9.5. got a great drill from my pro - shop. Jack Slater's 5Star pro shop. I have tried many bowling balls inmy time all types , allsorts of drills and havebeen on all sorts lane surfaces both here and overseas while in the military and this ball really does it for me. my house condition is normally med-lite onwood lanes but,I've been able to usethis ball on synthetic as well with very good results. My avg. always was in the low 190's but it has gone up 5 pins since getting this ball.

ok here it is this ball is as hard a hitten ball as there is for the price love the reaction this ball gets when it hits its breaking point turns as hard if not harder than the wicked by columbia.great carry, and hits hard. best on light to medium oil patterns also great for the burn. ball is very similar to the wicked in that does not like the heavy oil.hammer has a winning line with the blade series the price is right on these balls so get yourself one today and score tomorrow you will be glad you did

The ball rolls down the lane to the breakpoint where it just takes off. Not uncontrolably though. It has a nice even hook that can really knock the pins through the wall in the back. It hits extremely hard, even if I throw it lefty it'll crush the pins, and I am in no way ambidextrous. The ball also looks pretty nice, the picture can be a tad misleading as the ball itself is a little lighter in color (at least mine is). The ball reacts better on wood than synthetic, but it will do just fine on either. The only dislike I have about it really is that it will leave a 10 pin every now and then on a seemingly perfect pocket shot. You'll get your share of brooklyns with this ball too if you pull it. Buy this ball, and keep it for a long time. You will not regret it.

I ordered the solid and pearl blade, and so far have only drilled the pearl. this ball was used on medium oiled fairly easy lanes, but did a great job. RPM - aprox 450 on this particular first outing - Speed aprox 18MPH. It slides through the oil really well and snaps as hard as anything i've seen. The CG was aproximatly at the centre of the grip and kicked out to the right slightly (right handed) with about a 4" pin, just above and to the right of the ring finger. With this much snap and drive on the good back ends, the carry is very good indeed. All in all this is a great ball, and i look forward to see how the other new hammer stuff performs! This ball is such a beast the vicious and the diesels are bound to be rediculous! I also look forward to drilling the blade solid. Ryan - Ryan's Pro Supplies www.clik.to/rps

overall this is the best ball i have ever owned. more aggresive than expected.but no complaints here.terific snap.easy to controll, never over reacts on me.It dosnt carry light hits to well but i am starting to suspect that its just my realease on the ball. When i bought this ball I expected a mild hook but to my suprise the ball had a huge snap to the ball and a mild ark.it is such a nice looking ball as well. hammer has really came out with a winner. I am defenitly considering another hammer bowling ball.

the ball is drilled with the pin below the ring finger and the cg directly below it, giving it some thumb weight. 2-3" pin this drilling is alittle stronger then the first one i had but it is way less jumpy on the backend. don't get me wrong it still has a strong backend, and actually is better all around. the ball reads the mids and backends so nicely that you can adjust easily. on the sport shot the ball is good for the shorter oil patterns, but it still can do well on the longer shots believe it or not.

the ball is drill with the pin above the bridge and cg a 1/2 inch off the center grip line, the ball is a 2-3" pin placement this ball is great, the reaction is very predicible. the coverstock seems to be strong from when you put alot of hand into it. i've used this ball at a wood house and was able to use for 20 games straight. i use it at my own house too. since the ball is great for dry, it allows me to play the outside like when i was younger. if there is any oil on the lane you'll have to play further outside the lane. on the sport shot the ball is good for the shorter oil patterns, its alittle over/under on the longer conditions.

I drilled this ball up with the pin 2 1/2" away from the PAP and the CG 4 1/2" away. The ball boes into a roll about halfway down the rolls over for another few feet then look out cause its headed to the pocket. If you let the ball out wide it will come back within some reason. If you tug it and theres oil it will hold then still hit on the back end. The olyn downfall for me was if the backend got too dried out. Then it got a little too REACTIVE. But its a reactive ball. Few balls have I seen that carry the way this ball does. It is a monster in the pocket. No stone pins so far. A few big splits in the last game but I would recomend this ball to anyone looking for length and the ability to hit like a friggin mack truck. Thank you to those that put the hammer back into a ball.

The Blade Pearl is a fantastic ball. I will pull this ball out at almost any house that has a dry shot. A very consistant shot that never rolls out. Always seems to have an enormous amount of power when it hits the pocket. I have never had a ball that I could throw on a variety of light oil to dry lane shots and have it hold onto the lane so well. I would recommend this ball to anyone that needs a little more length on a dryer shot. I feel that the Blade Pearl is a good ball on dry senthetic lanes or even on dry wood lanes.

I drilled this for a shop guy and we were looking for something to fit into his bag when the lanes are burnt. This shop guy likes to be able to open up the lane and still have a ball that won't be extremely jumpie. I put the pin and CG on his grip line and left the ball in the box finish. The bowler tested the ball that night after 2 shifts and some open bowling and he was still able to get the ball through the heads and into the midlane before the ball made a move to the pocket. The bowler also tested this ball out on a tournament shot where was able to move over and play more up the lane with this ball that his other equipment. This ball is a keeper in his bag. I think this will be a ball for bowlers who need something for light oil or slower ball speed. With the layout that was used in the test ball, we found it to be very controllable on the light oil and still able to get down the lane with energy left to explode the rack.
