    I love this ball. At many times, I can use this ball on any lanes and get to the pocket and POW!!!! I loved it. It hits like a big freight truck ,car or whatever you name it. Today in practice i bowled 11 games, many where switched in between this ball and my zone, but when i threw this alone i threw a 183, 167, 179, 159, 165. I kinda screwed up a clean game because i didn't have my spare but i loved practicing with this. I threw it on medium-heavy oil. I have also thrown it on light oil. On both patterns it just takes a little adjusting and wow you could throw a 300 game. Happy bowling.<scri

    I got this ball used. All i had to do was re-slug the ball. This one was drilled stacked leverage with pin directly below the ring finger. This ball got into an early roll which i did like, but it never worked for me. Once it got to the back end it just took off. Never was able to controll it. I tried many different coverstock preperations. 600, 800, 1000, 1200, all of these didnt work, and even when thoes grit sand papers were polished i still couldnt use the ball. I also tried some Track Delayed Reaction and that didnt help either. This ball just wasnt for me. O wellz, this is the first time im saying that a Hammer Ball didnt work for me

    A great value for the price. This ball should be in almost everyone's bag. It snaps hard, carries well, and is very predictable. First time out of the box just annnilhated the rack for 8 games. Fairly versatile ball. Not as consistently good though on light-dry lanes as my Brunswick Purple Fuze. I know, I know, everyone hates that ball, but the damn thing outperforms the Blade. Only slightly, but consistantly. Taking nothing away from the Blade though, it is a better buy (lower price) and can handle a little more oil than the Purple Fuze. I am very impressed with the entire Blade line. These balls are a great value, and should definitely not be ignored.

    Well, I've had this ball for a couple of years and i have learned one very important lesson: get a heavy oil ball to go along with this. Trust me, no matter what you do, you cannot get this thing to hook on oily lanes...The only thing that you could try is rolling it very slow. Besides the problems with heavy oil, I really like this ball. On medium and light oiled lanes you can burn the pins- just watch the lane conditions first. I really liked this ball because it was my first hooking ball(I'm 13)and it raised my average overall about 20-30 pins! Just remember what I said about the oil conditions and you'll be fine!

    This ball has worked very well for me. I have been using it since January and the performance of me and the ball have continued to increase. I am usually a 160 bowler and on Saturday night bowled my first 211 game. I had heard varying opinions on Hammer before buying this ball, and went with it. I still am and have been impressed by this ball. Don't let it get dirty though, keep it cleaned and polished or it will go straight as an arrow down the lane regardless of your revs. Most likely, now that I have found the Deuce, I won't buy Hammer any more. However, I can't say it is a bad product.

    This is an extremely predictable ball and I don't believe it can be beat in the performance to price ratio. I had it drilled up to go long before making a very aggressive break towards the pocket. On fresh oiled lanes it does just that. As the carry down increases, the ball has a tendancy to go a little too long before breaking resulting in corner pins. A simple adjustment will usually take care of this. This ball as far as performance goes is right up there with my X-Factor Deuce and Lane #1 - Carbide Bomb Pearl. I would highly recommend this ball.

    Had my Blade Pearl punched up 4 X 3 small weight hole on PAP. Ball clears the heads with ease and gets good length before making a definative SNAP on the backend. Hit is typical of ANY Hammer and carry is not an issue. Put this one in the pocket and you will be rewarded. Have been using this one lately as a great second/third game ball when the stronger reactives begin to struggle to keep a consistent line, the Blade Pearl is still crushing the pocket. You do your job getting it there and this ball will do the rest. I don't think I have any other ball in my arsenal that mixes light hits like this one does! Messengers everywhere! Another great plus is the price. Can get one NIB and drilled for under $100 if you know where to look. Don't pass this one up!

    once you find your mark with the ball, you can expect the same shot with the blade pearl over and over again. And another bonus is its good for ten pin shots, the ball goes long and has a continuos nice roll right into the pocket, a freaking great ball for only 90 bucks. This ball is so consistent its not even funny, My two highgames with the ball were a 267 and a 275, the blade pearl is so easy to control and a good ball for beginners or experienced bowlers, i got it for my home lanes which are synthetic and it works very good there, It also works very wll on wooden lanes, this is a great ball from hammer

    Great ball by hammer once again. Has good hitting power for a mid priced ball. Very good for those fresh patterns and even works well surprisingly when the oil carries down. my ball has a 3-4 inch pin with the pin below my bridge and the c.g directly below that. it arcs nicely when the oil carries down but has enough energy to carry the corners. Also on the fresh pattenrs with snappy back ends it isnt too much over under to force you to put it back in the bag. With a dry sport condition it works well but the oily ones it just doesnt quite get the job done. Some polish might make it go a bit longer but it goes long as is. Question- mbobo_73@yahoo.com

    I BOUGHT THIS BALL BECAUSE LATELY MY VICIOUS REACTIVE WAS A LITTLE TO AGGRESSIVE. AND NEEDED A BALL TO GO A LITTLE LONGER BUT STILL HAVE A DECENT BACKEND. WELL I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH MY CHOICE. THIS BALL COMPLIMENTS MY VICIOUS PARTICLE AND VICIOUS REACTIVE PEARL PERFECTLY. IF YOU WANT A GOOD BALL LOOK NO FURTHER THAN A HAMMER. THIS BALL IS GREAT FOR A BEGINNER. I CAN THROW THE BALL ANYWHERE FROM THE 2ND TO THE 3RD ARROW AND IT ROLLS RIGHT IN THE POCKET EVERYTIME. VERY USER FRIENDLY BALL. DON'T DELAY GET YOURS TODAY. THIS BALL CRUSHES THE PINS AT IMPACT. ALL IT LEAVES IS A PILE OF FIREWOOD IN IT'S WAKE

    It's a really nice ball - nice and sm,ooth. It's my first reactive/fingertip ball so it was a big jump from spare ball with conventional drilling. After a couple of months I found it quite controllable and a lovely ball to be seen at NAYBC tournaments with. It's improved my average by 10-20 pins depending on which home centre I'm at and it rarely lets me down at tournaments unless the oil is very heavy and then it's not very useful at all. Of couse it also looks great in my bag - my friends admire at (especially when I first got it after recommendation) and made my Dad jealous!

    I had this drilled up for leverage and perhaps that is where I made my mistake. This ball hooks as hard as my Vicious on medium oil conditions. I can get good carry on medium-heavy shots, but I have enough balls for that already. I polished the Blade Pearl heavily and it still hooked too much for corner pin spares. I suspect the flip plate has a lot to do with that even though the coverstock is supposed to be "pearlized." It was a great deal on ebay, though (<$50). So drill it up for full leverage if you need a med-heavy oil inexpensive weapon, else, use positions "A" or "B" in specs for dry lanes. In either case, it hits hard and carries the rack...& why shouldn't it? It's a HAMMER!<scri

    this is the most versatle ball on the market.at least thats what i think.i have owned 3 topshelf balls since the blade pearl and it is still one of my favorite bowling balls.this ball skids and snaps.but not too much.dont get me wrong when i say versitility.this is a pearl ball it wont hook on too much oil.this ball hit pretty well but it loved too carry the pins. if you tend too hit lightly into the pocket this is the ball for you.this is such an exellent ball.especially for the money.

    wow what a mean pearl ball it has the back end some higher dollar balls wish they had. its drilled full roller and for me i can cover a lot of boards. it seems too carry fairly well but ive left a few solid 8s and 9s. so that tells me its driveing real hard.havent been able to use it a lot this summer in our 10 game leauge its to dry for it . plus it even out hooks my track threat and thats hard to belive. ITS EASY TO Keep clean and ive got 50 or so games on it and it has minor track wear. a great big ball for most house shots

    Drilled this ball balance leverage and it hooks a lot. I stood on 30 to 35 and threw it over 15 and it came back to the pocket. Can't play up the boards but you can sure swing this ball. It skids and starts to roll prety early down the lane and has a huge backend. Great ball and you can play even on medium to heavy oil which suprised me. Hard to control because the backend is so strong but overall its a good ball and I like it a lot. If you have to swing it, this and the inferno are 2 great balls to use.

    My Blade Reactive is WAAAY too much ball for medium oiled lanes and simply refuses to behave itself, so I opted for a more docile ball. I had my eye out and recently purchased a brand new, never drilled Blade Pearl from ebay and got a helluva deal on it too ( $77 with delivery!!). I inteded this ball to replace my tired old Boss Ti for the medium oil conditions I'm now facing in my summer league. While it certainly does behave itself more on the slightly toasted lanes, it is anything but docile... far from it! This thing hits just as hard and with almost as much back end as my Blade Reactive. The key difference here is that the Pearl never rolls out on me whereas the Reactive will see its revs yanked off very quickly when it begins sticking to the dry lanes too much. Right out of the box I shot 657 with my Pearl and I was very happy with the smooth roll and striking power the ball displayed. My 6 year old Boss Ti is officially put out to pasture now ( where all my bowling balls

    ~~~ Updated Review ~~~ My opinion of this ball has changed since my first review of it. I have one myself, and is drilled roughly 4 x 5.5. On oil, with a decent back end the ball is excelent. It revs up very well, s,lides in oil, and is strong on the dry boards. But this, in my opinion, is also its downfall. If there isnt enough oil in the heads, it revs up way to fast, grips to early, and never really gets any length down the lane. On a fresh medium to light oil shot, with decent oil in the heads, its a good ball, but when the lanes dry out there are better balls available. Ryan Ryan's Pro Supplies www.clik.to/rp
    The ball is great I'm alright at bowling but could be alot better but I think this ball could help improve anyones game. I bowl in an old bowling alley where they oil the lanes by hand and since the shot is different all the time the ball is a great help. With small adjustments I can crush the pocket on any shot. I hope that hammer bowling keeps coming out with balls like this because if it does i might average ten more pins than I do now. I loved Faball but hammer bowling is still making quality balls and I think the new balls are better than faballs old ones.
    I wanted this ball to do a certain thing, therefore, I had it punched with the CG on the gripline above midline, and the pin in the MIDDLE finger. I wanted this ball to push forever, rev hard, and then make a mild transition in the backend. This layout worked great. This layout is condition specific though- if I have to play deeper than 4 arrow and swing the ball, it will leave corners, but if I can play straight and tight, this ball is an absolute TRUCK!! The continuation throught the pin deck is amazing- I guess the motto stands true............................................ "Noting hits like a hammer"
    For the past 3 years I have bowled with a Urethane ball and topped out at 225. It was a good learning ball, but the ball would not hook well (for obvious reasons) and I would end up throwing this straight. Looking around this site, I found the Hammer Blade Pearl. With a cool look and good ratings (on this website), I couldn't help to resist buying it here. My first two games were sub 150's, but the next several games: 195, 227, 180, 192, 238. When the ball rolls into the pocket, the pins just get smashed. It's crazy. The only times it doens't strike is because of user error; sometimes I throw it out too much. This ball is probably not good for those who crank the ball down the lane, made for the medium speed. Now that my urethane ball is for spares, I have to start practicing my spare shots. Overall, the Hammer Pearl is an excellent choice. In only a few games I beat my previously high score. I am ashamed that I didn't buy this earlier!
    This ball is a great follow up for the blade reactive. By your second or third game when the lanes start to dry out, this ball is the perfect ball to use because of how clean it gets through the heads and how smooth of a transition the ball makes. If this ball were to have more publicity or to be promoted more, it would sell just as much if not more than just about any other ball on the market. This ball is what other bowlers drool about when they watch it down the lane. It's a gift from the bowling gods.
    another great ball produced by the hammer/ ebonite company!!!!!!!! i have this ball drilled pin above bridge cg at 12:00 -- static weights are 7/8 X 7/8 so this ball is skating on any kind of oil... but when the lanes are dry enough this ball does its job gets a ton of length an has a nice small arc an hits the hole with a vengence!!! i only have about 3 games on this ball cuz i just drilled it a few days ago an there has been anywhere dry enough to roll it - so when i take it to a tourny in the later games an get a better read of the ball i will post another review... but i was definitly satisfied with it so far... an its made by hammer so i doubt i will have any complaints!!
    I posted my first review after only haveing four games on this ball. I bought the Blade Solid and started throwing that more. I was going through a transition in approach but now that everything is where I want it I have gone back to the Pearl. This ball absolutely kills the rack. The way I have mine drilled is a variation of Axis-Leverage. The CG is at 4 1/2and the pin is at 2 1/2 from the PAP. If you use alot of wrist this ball will hit the break point and do just that, BREAK. With todays conditions (shorter oil and drier back ends) this ball can be utilized to its full potential. I am still a happy camper with this ball. The only time the solid will get used is if they are soaking wet, but where are you going to find that except on some sport conditions. The Pearl is a must have for any bowler.
    Rolled my first 300 with this ball. I actually shelved this ball after I bought it. I couldn't get the right shot that I wanted. I like to throw a lot of hook, but this ball was hooking twice as much as any other ball I've owned. I had it redrilled and balanced for a little less hook and now it is perfect. My average is 191, but over the last three weeks, I've averaged over 200 after the redrilling. If you throw a lot of revolutions and speed, go for it! I even use the ball on the right side to pick up 10 pins.
    I have used nothing but Hammer bowling balls for the past 18 years and I have to say this is by far the best ball they've made so far. Had this ball drilled while bowling my 1st game, got it in time for the 2nd game of the night. Went light 1st & 2nd frames then strung 13 in a row from frame 3 of game 2 to frame 3 of game 3. Awesome ball. Nothing HITS like a Hammer. I looking forward to getting the new Hammer Vicious Reactive Pearl Particle. It looks like Hammers back in the game and has a great ball.
