(5 reviews) Write a Review

With the addition of a lower differential and the Pearlized Neoflex XL with MIBK coverstock, the Reaper 2 maintains the length of the Reaper and is able to store more energy, creating a more angular pocket entry angle. It's the more angular pocket entry that separates the Reaper 2 from the Reaper. The Reaper 2's more violent bckend motion makes for even more devastating strike delivering power.

Technical Information

Core General

A dual density Reaper XL 2 core. By changing the density of the dual protrusions the differential is lowered making the Reaper 2 store more energy than the Reaper, allowing for a more violent break point.

Coverstock

Multi Color, Pearlized Reactive Neoflex XL with MIBK

Maintenance Suggestions

The Factory Finish on the REAPER 2 is highly polished. For the best and most consistent reaction ball after ball, it is recommended that the surface remain highly polished. This polished surface should be obtained using a high speed ball spinner with any polishing agent.

Great carry, Great control, Very predictable, WHAT A BALL, Shot 802 on 5-19-04, i threw 30 out of 36, so obvisouly this ball is a must!!! I usually throw Roto Grip or Storm, but old faball equipment has Awesome hitting power and is great for those times when you need an out of trouble ball, When you dont know what ball to use switch your REAPER 2 and if you dont have one GET one!!! Because if an 202 avgerage bowler like mk self can shoot 800 plus series then this is a for sure ball that eveyrone needs no matter if your pro or just begging.<scri

The Reaper 2 has been a good ball for my style of bowling. The angular entry into the pocket of this ball is surpassed by only Storm's Deuce in my opinion. The ball needs some time and skid to set up, but when it does it unleashes on the pins causing massive pin action. The angular entery can lead to a number of 9 pins being left from the ball driving to hard, but the light hit strikes you will carry will more than make up for it. The only problem I have with this ball is the error factor. If you miss inside, you can kiss it goodbye to the left, and it you miss a little inside it dives through the nose for a big nasty split. The other issue is if you send it too wide, it's angular pocket entry works against you coming in light leaving nasty washouts.

This is my all time favorite league ball. I would play it down the 14 board where the oil is at in our house, it would slam in the pocket with a vengence. It is very consistant ball. The first time in league with this ball I shot a 700 series. This ball has a sweet backend on it. One thing about it, it sucks up what oil is out there. I would bake this ball about every 6 months. It is very comperable to Storm's Eraser Blaze. I have nothing bad to say about this ball, If you need a good league ball pick one up!

Once you get used to the ball and it's quirks you can throw big scores on almost any lane condition dry to oily, all in all it's a good all around ball if you can stay consistant. Best ball condition is high polish, which will need to be maintained at least every 24-30 games minimum. Once ball begins to dull out reaction gets a little fishy and you can never be sure whether it's going to hook soon or hold the line. If you can keep ball polished it is a great ball, but if you are like me and usually only get your bowling balls polished 2 times a year at most it can be a hassle to use.

I have heard a lot of people say a lot of negative things about this ball. I, for one, am not one of those people. I drilled mine up with the CG dead center palm, and the pin above and between the fingers. On a drier lane condition, this ball gets down the lane well, and doesn't overreact in the backends. The carry could be a touch better, but for the most part, you don't have to overthrow it to get it to the pocket, and it still has some energy when it gets there. This ball does not react on medium to oily lanes, or if there is a lot of carrydown.
