I'm a little late to the party with the Storm Nova, and I wish I wouldn't have waited on it! I went with a 45 X 5 x 65 layout, and the predictable, strong, continuous motion I get is what I needed and wanted out of this spot in the bag. Generally, hybrids and I have a great relationship and this is no exception. The 3000 grit finish is the happy medium between mid-lane and length. Being low RG and asymmetric, it fits closer to the top of the bag, but still under a Reality or a Gem. If either of those seems to be too much too early on whatever you're bowling on, this is the small step down from either of those.

Ball is great, does what i thought it would do. Had the the ball drilled for leverage becasue i wanted this ball to be my Oil ball, and it sure is. Although i did buy the Purple Pearl Nova also at the same time i bought this ball as a combo. This ball will start to react early with a decent backend snap. if lanes are dry or are starting to break down better put it away! i'm a cranker so this ball may not react so much to a non cranker but overall this ball does just what i wanted it to do. also got the combo from ebay for 120.00 shipped which i think is a good for 2 really good balls.

Everything about this ball is wonderful, I love it, I love it, I love it! It's so smooth and wonderful, this ball is true greatness. Out Around 8 and it walks home, it leaves little to NO 10 pins, and if I hit my mark then it leaves no 10's. Thats all, Just great on all lane conditions. Works very well at Latham and Albany. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

I am reviewing this after seeing my old man throw 20+ games on it. He is getting older and his ball speed is not what it used to be. He ave. around 12.5 to 13.5 on the ball speed. I bought this and the Nova Pearl (see that review) to complement each other. I was surprised to find out that the dull nova seemed to be more controllable and less hook on it. He stood left and was able to swing the ball from 15 to 8 board and have a real nice, smooth arc to the pocket. It cleared the heads and didn't "bite" off his hands as much as the Nova Pearl did. The ball carried well, when it was thrown well. This was thrown on synthetics with a med oil pattern. Overall a good ball for the price paid around 30 dollars undrilled.

Hello Everyone, I am just curious where you are getting new, undrilled nova's at? I absolutely loved this ball (Nova Pearl), I want to find one or two or three undrilled 15 lb Pearl Novas. If you have one, or know where I can get some, please let me know. My phone number at my full service proshop is (785) 272-2335. Ask for Eric or leave a message on the machine or with my assistant. I would even be interested in a regular nova. Thanks! I need 100 words, I need 100 words, I need 100 words, I need 100 words, I need 100 words...<scrip

I bought this ball at a garauge sale and got it drilled a month after that and as soon as I tried to out I fell in love. This ball has great power on medium to heavy oil. It will move great on medium with enormous snap. Do not use on dry, it is not made for that so dont do it, it will burn up all its power and roll out. What more is there to say about a ball such as this except that i am lookin for one that is not drilled that is still in the factory box.

It took me over a month to restore this ball back to its original condition. I know what you are thinking. Why dont you buy another ball? Well I have not been able to find one that has the same pin and top weight as the ball i have now. This ball is so great for how old it is. This ball out hooks my Monster ( Monster is a awsome ball though ). I have no need to fear the oil anymore. The Nova is abck and ready to explode. Just in time for my big city tournament. Good luck and have fun bowling<scr

Well, when i first got this ball on 9/2/02, i was amazed on how much oil you can play in woth this ball. I had many many great games with this ball, including a 752 series. Then one day i bowl my first game om with a 212 then i start the second game and i throw my regular shot and GUTTER! So i thought it must be me, so i try it again not a gutter but a dead 10 pin shot, i was like holy shit, it died on me. Now ive been bowling with it for awhile when it died, its a great spare ball in wet lanes and an absolute monster on dry, So if i had to say anything this ball was a great ball for me and i wish i had another, So if anybody can find one that is not drilled please e-mail me at BuddhaBilly15@aol.com . Thank You

I picked this ball up on ebay for 45 bucks shipped so i wasnt really expecting too much. Ive rolled around 20 games on it and have been pretty happy with its performance. I throw a mild hook and it grips well on medium oil. It will come back hard when the lanes dry out, but it was pretty easy to make the adjustments with it. Typical hammer, it hits hard and carries the pins well. Im a 190 average bowler and so far ive rolled right in that range with this ball. I just picked this one up for when the lanes get a little too oily for my old blue hammer. Word of warning though, two of my team mates throw hard crankers and they both commented that it does slide out a lot more than what their used to (one throws an icon and a rock, the other throws a vicious particle), so if thats your style of bowling your probably much better off one of the newer more expensive particle balls out there.

The house that I bowl at absolutely sucks. They flood the lanes for the crankers, and in order to throw a strike, you need to hit brooklyn! Along with the fact that every ball I've thrown there gets gouges etc. So I picked up this Nova for $30. Figured that if it get ruined, I'm only out that much. Drilled it Stacked Leverage. Hooked like hell itself. Took it to a tournament over the weekend, and shot 279,236,211. Ended up getting 2nd place for the weekend! Everyone was shocked when they saw what I was throwin'. Their Ebonites and Storms weren't carrying the pins as well as this baby. I've ordered 3 more so when this one dies, I'll have another!!!

This is a great ball. It loves the oil. This ball is like a sponge, it just soaks up the oil. I played this ball at the bowling stadium in Reno, and got amazing hook out of the ball. It was hooking like mad, which suprized me very much, and as well as the guy I was bowling against. When I was looking at all the other guys that were playing Storm and Ebonite and other balls, I was happy to say that I had the best ball there. So try to find this ball if you plan on bowl on heavy oil. You will love the NOVA

This was $50 ball, cames sanded and outperforms my Truck ball considerably. A great ball for someone newer to the game looking to expand their shot to the outsides. I haven't had a ton of balls, but thus far, this is my best one. I don't throw a strong ball in terms of revs, but the ball more than makes up for my faults. When kept at a decent speed, balls rolls out and then hit like a ton of bricks.....or like a hammer!! When drilled right, great flare potential if that's what you want. Would have to give hook rting of at least 20 - 25 boards easily. On dry, watch out. Will be seeing a lot of Brooklyn shots!
