Faball 4D Reactive Hammer Bowling Ball

(6 reviews) Write a Review

The ball combines Faball's newest reactive cover - Neoflex III with P.E.T. and Super Sized Mica Flakes with the Hammer Four Density core. The 4-D core body is placed in an offset position in relation to the centerline of the ball. This combination of the core and the new Neoflex III coverstock creates a spectacular amount of power with extreme versatility.

CORE INFORMATION

The Hammer Four Density (4D) Core consists of four individual components, Top flare ring, top cap, mid-body and lower cap. All four core parts are of different densities. The 4D core body is placed in an Offset Position in relation to the centerline of the ball. This is the ball's drive mechanism.

COVERSTOCK

The 4D-Reactive utilizes Hammer's new Neoflex III cover with P.E.T. and Super Sized Mica Flakes for added "GRIPTION."

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

The combination of the 4D Core and the new Neoflex III coverstock creates a spectacular amount of power with extreme versatility. It's this power and versatility that will allow the bowler to use a 4D-Reactive on a wide variety of lane conditions. Whether polished or sanded, you'll be amazed by it's continuous hook and amazing pin carry.

MAINTENANCE SUGGESTIONS

The Factory Finish on the 4D-Reactive is mildly textured. The new Neoflex III coverstock is easily altered to allow the bowler to obtain the required amount of skid, hook and roll. By using readily available techniques, the 4D-Reactive can be easily resurfaced to any desired surface texture

I only got to use it for only one season due to deployments and training. The ball rolls well and breaks very nicely and is easy to make adjustments. It hits the pins really hard and has a great snap in to the pocket. This ball seems to thrive more on heavy to medium oil. If the lanes dry out too fast you will be hurting at the end of the night. This by far is one of the better balls made by Hammer. If this ball were still made I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for an aggressive ball on the lanes.

this ball was originaly meant for medium to heavy oil but but ever since i got it its been better on medium to light oil lanes i got this ball used for my dad when he got his original inferno and he had always used it on medium/heavy oil this ball is absolutly awsome because with this ball i've shot my hightest game yet 277 and my highest set yet 702 in the same day as a pre bowl for my junior league i really wish that hammer would remake this because i know that i'm not the only one that would like to get my hands on another one

This ball is great. I drilled it up with the pin under my ring finger in the middle of my span. I put the mass bais at 4:30. This ball will arc out and just come right back to the pocket. This ball is not very jerky unless you are throwing through a burnt up track. This ball preforms very nicely on wetter lanes it just sits their and waits for the dry and comes screaming back with avengence and blows the pins off the deck with the same great hammer power. If the lanes get real dry just put this ball away.

I have been using this ball for 5 weeks including the Mixed National at the bowling Stadium. I had it drilled pin at 12:00(5" from PAP), cg 5" from PAP, and hot spot in strong position. The ball gets through the heads very clean with a nice backend reaction. Sometimes too much backend leaving 9 pins. I would recommend this ball just behind my Violet High Rev 3D Offset. I would recommend this ball for medium to heavy oil. I give it an 9 out of 10. I'm back to add to this review. It's been 2 years and I still love this ball for the med to soupy conditions. I was using my HPH and it just wasn't making the move I needed. To my surprise I tried this one and it held great and gave me a nice move on the backend. I guess my 4D is coming out of retirement.

I dont have the drilling pattern of this ball. By the way, the pin placed just on the top of my ring finger. There is a balance hole for this drilling pattern. Since I got this ball, I can handle this ball straight away. Bowl over my average the first time I use it. This ball hit very hard. My ball driller drilled this ball according to what I expect. It run long then snap badly on the backend and washed all the pins. The most commont pin that will left over is 10 pin which all other balls will do the same anyway. This ball is really great. Never dissapointed me at all. If there is more carrydown, this ball seems to lose the strength but still hit reasonably hard. However, as my aim is to get strike all the time, I will change my strike ball to hammer wheel for this condition. At the moment, as my strike balls, I have hammer 4d reactive, hammer wheel, hammer 3d violet pearl, track enforcer. My first preference ball will always be 4d-reactive. And I hardly have

I took this off my brother's hands as a future replacement for my Sledge Hammer. This ball has essentially the same coverstock with a different core. The reaction is almost the same as my Sledge, but gives me a little more length. The 4D is drilled 3.5 x 4.5. Pin is just right of grip center, cg is just right of thumb. Hot Spot is Strong position below and right of thumb, and balance hole is 1.75" right of Hot Spot. Like my Sledge, this ball hits really hard. If you're near the pocket, this ball will clear the rack. It's very controllable for anything but the extremes in lane conditions. It's too bad Hammer didn't have much success with the neoflex cover balls (save of course the 3D violet), because I feel these are some of the best balls out there. The only problem I could see some bowlers having with the 4D is it's not a skid/flip reaction.
