Ebonite Tombstone Bowling Ball

Ebonite is introducing a new high-end bowling ball called the Tombstone, which promises to "bury the competition by knocking the pins dead," according to Brian Pursel, who developed the concept of the ball. "This is the highest-performance, most sophisticated ball we've ever introduced," says Pursel, technical coordinator for Ebonite. "It rolls in a more readable, predictable motion while maintaining strong hook potential. Anyone who's dead serious about their game will want a Tombstone." What makes this such an extraordinary ball? Two things - and both involve technologies proprietary to Ebonite. The first is Bombs Away technology. The second is Pro Reactive Resin. Bombs Away centers around a new bias mass core. The core is constructed so that the BOMB (the Ball's Offset Mass Bias) can be placed above the fingers, resulting in energy retention that is stronger, with more continuous backend reaction than standard mass bias technology. Pro Reactive Resin gives the

My ball is drilled with the bomb at 12'oclock position , pin between the bridge and cg in my palm. The ball hits harder than any ball I ever owned. The ball is great .However once you are on dry lanes you need to put it this ball away!!!!! Knowing when and how to adjust when conditions change is a must with this devastating pin destroying monster. Overall, however I give it 9 pins because I'm sure there are many bowling balls out there that are more forgiving. The Tombstone destroys every pin in sight and then some that may try to stand up. Pins Rest In Peace!!!!!

Overall, it's a fantastic ball for those hediously oily lanes which kill even a danger zone, but not this hook monster. I have played 70+ games so far and the reaction is still great. Remove the polish for more hook and watch those pins fly. For a more predictable hook, just drill it differently. As long as it hits between first and third pin or firstand second pin, a strike is guaranteed by the dynamic and explosive BOMB's away core. This ball hits harder then any other ball i've ever used, even more then the HPD. Try it out, blow those pins to pieces . (specially that elusive, irritating and nauseating ten-pin )

As it stands I wouldn't want to use a different ball. It has given me many high games and series. It has a lot of bite on it meaning that even if a house is very generous with their oil you can still cut through it like it was nothing. However once you are on dry lanes you have to be more accurate on where your ball is thrown and you may need to use a more sweeping arc. Overall however I give it 9 pins because I'm sure there are balls out there that are slightly more forgiving but this one rocks the house!
