Ebonite Tiger Bowling Ball

(9 reviews) Write a Review

Like its namesake, the Tiger pounces on its prey with swiftness and ferocity. Clean through the front and . . . Holy Cow! If you need to create angle from breakpoint to pocket, or if you just like watching it, the Tiger will provide excitement. Excellent playing inside angles on light to medium oil conditions, the Tiger will be excellent for slower to medium ball speeds and help those "rotationally challenged" players to create a strong angle of entry.

The ball was great even though i was sick. The first game i threw was a 203 then i went to leauge. I shot really bad bcuz i have the flu but that wont stop me bowling. i shot 159 then in my 128 i had 3 splits in a row 2-10 blowout 7-10 and then 2-10 my mental game wasn't there last night. Then i regrouped and bowled a 210 and a 178. The ball is great for about the 2 or 3rd or 4th games but is not to good on the fresh stuff

Bob Burns gave me this (cuz he works in the proshop w/ me) and he said... it didnt move an inch... he was right... but he had a huge axis hole on da side....lol... i plugged it up and made it mine...(plus i got to work on my oval!!!:-) ) but yea... nice medium oil ball.. and its replacing my beloved 14lb savage flip.... bless its heart.... but yea.. nice ball, the pin is underneath the ring finger and a tad to the left(a lil bit) and the CG is below it like 2 or 3 inches... ONCE AGAIN! THANX BOB!

i bought this ball for my wife but i wound up with it .she could not control the very odd shape this ball has for a flip. it starts turning earlier than a skid flip should so it has a high split potntial unlss you have a lot of ball speed.the only way i felt comfy was from the middle swinging way out to about 5 but this is not an easy to control shot.if you move right it would roll up and die,but if you move left it would roll out and not carry. i left many 7 oins and 10 pins because of the deep flip.

Actually I had this piece momentarily it would give nice reactions here and there but the thing about it is you couldnt continue getting the same reaction whether striking or not. I wont say over/under because it never really decreased its hook if anything it increased from time to time you'll have to speed up and put less fingers into it. But this ball is very lane specific cant stand in one place with the tiger start moving by 6th-7th frame or else you will get a rude awakening. The specs and the drilling are?I dont know.I gave the ball away not to long ago.But besides all that the looks pretty well going down the lane.

i bought this ball from a friend and used it during open bowl on some wood lanes and it was after a lot of leagues so it didnt have no oil on the lane.i tried the ball, and stand where i do at my league house but everytime i threw the ball it came up high or brooklyn.i moved all the way to the leftso that my sliding foot would be parallel with the gutter and the ball rolled up flush.on oil the ball is a monster.just gotta keep a smooth release or its gonna deflect.with carrydown can be a lil big speed sensitive

i drilled the ball with the pin under the ring finger with the cg about an inch off the center of grip on the mid line. ball goes down past the mid lane and breaks hard at its break point. once carry down become in play it will lose some of its bite. if the lanes are toasted it starts up too early but what else is expected. this ball is a true skid/flip ball. *my style has the following, avg speed (15-17.5 mph), high track, medium to high rpm (325-400+ rpm) and also about a 45 degree axis tilt

Great ball. Next step up from the Savage in my equipment. Used a stacked drilling with out of the box shine. Have not had to change the coverstock yet. Good value for the money. Have used it quite a bit in league play and tournament play. Not afraid to pull it out at any time. As long as the back of the lane finishes good. Ball does not like when the back of the lane has much carry down. Has a little hang in it under that condition. But, is a good overall ball. I also have drilled up a Predator, Savage, Pantera and a Vortex pearl. The Tiger is a good middle of the road ball to put in you bag.

Well, I have been throwing Ebonite stuff for a couple of months now and need something to get down the lane and give me some flip in the backend. I got the Tiger. I looked at Ebonite's drilling suggestions, and after thinking about several different layouts, I decided to go with the pin under my ring finger and the CG swung out. I went 5 with the pin, and 4 with the CG. I knew I was going to be over in side weight, so I took the ring finger deeper and then it needed a small weight hole. I would like to say that this ball is more than what I expected. That is what you get for having expectations. I threw this ball at two different house, and had very similar reactions. This ball got down the lanes with no problem, and at about 40 to 45 made its move. What a move it makes, a strong ripping arc through the deck. I am able to get deeper inside and wheel this ball, then my other dry lane equipment. I can say this drilling was not what I was looking for but, I drilled it stro

This ball has a good reaction to the oil on the lane. It would also be good for a nice begginner and has a nice hook and the end. The price tag that comes with this unbelivable ball is a reasonable price. When i throw this amazing ball out, i could see that the hook and spin would be very different from the other Car Serious. This ball is also good at differnt angle and would usually get right in the pocket. I would highly recommend this ball to any beginner that would like to start there bowling with a nice hook.
